1 Horn Assembly problem

Failure Date: 10/12/2019

This car has eletrical issues, while driving, the horn started going off on his own. I never use my horn, and can count on 1 hand how many times I used it. The repair cost me over $800. I also had to replace the motor for the rear door, I never use the hatch, and I had to replace. My car is now currently being repair for another electrical issue. The passager door is closed, however the door ajar light is on causing my interior light not to stay on. The passenger door is completely closed- due to this electrical issue my lights will not shut off and will kill the battery. I have also experience both windows decided to open and close while driving on their own. This car is an electrical disaster. I do not drive long distance, just local. Its a 2010 and I have 75, 000 miles on it.

2 Horn Assembly problem

Failure Date: 12/17/2017

My 2010 Jeep Liberty sport went on fire. I was stopping at a stop sign and all of a sudden the car started to completely malfunction. The care shut off at the stop sign, the horn went off for about 5 minutes, the windsheild wippers went off, all of the doors locked and I saw smoke from the hood. I didnt know what to do and maybe after about 3 minutes of trying to get doors to unlock they finally did I got out and opened the hood and the whole hood was up in flames. Now its a total loss they are only paying off my loan and I am stuck with trying to come up with my own money to buy a new car now I think I should be entilted to a lawsuit I could of died if those doors did not end up unlocking. Every Jeep should be recalled.

3 Horn Assembly problem

Failure Date: 01/04/2016

Tipms is bad. While going down highway the horn started blowing non stop the windshield wipers and fluid began to go extremely fast, the car stalled out when I tried to turn it off but horn windshield etc continue to go after car was off and keys out. The locks and security no longer work, the ac/heat no longer works.

4 Horn Assembly problem

Failure Date: 11/17/2015

This electrical problem showed up in the middle of driving down the road. The entire car shut down going 40 mph. Lights flashed, wipers went off, horn too, all for 10 seconds, while cruising with now power/gas. Then the car started again on its own, and kept driving. Ever since, the electrical system is screwed up. Wipers will run, but do not push fluid. Car doors will not lock/unlock with keyfob or driver's side controls. Must manually lock/unlock all doors. The tailgate cannot unlock, therefore will not open. Fan doesn¿t work, so no a/c or heat. Mechanic said the tipm must be replaced, and it is not covered by Jeep/Chrysler warranty. $1300 out of pocket! this is ridiculous, it is obviously a manufacturer defect.

5 Horn Assembly problem

Failure Date: 05/01/2015

2010 Jeep Liberty limited 4x4 began to intermittently start and not have headlights, sometimes the lights would not come on at all, other times only the parking lights would work, and other times only the headlights would work. It was taken to both a Jeep dealer as well as a local garage and no one could find an issue. They tried replacing the switch but this did not help either. Eventually, the issue got worse and the lights have now shut off while driving at night on highways, local roads, ect. And has become unsafe to drive. Jeep still claims to never have seen anything like this however multiple complaints exists online for similar complaints, a local garage told me about the tipm issues and even upon suggesting the replacement of this part, Jeep insisted this couldn't be the issue. Now the lights are really acting up, shutting off while driving, flashing frequently, only parking lights work sometimes, sometimes only one light works, and other issues are beginning (starting randomly, horn / alarm randomly going off, ect) Jeep still refusing that this is the issue and wants to replace / repair other things first. Currently looking into replacement tipm personally, as at this point, the Jeep Liberty is unsafe to drive, especially at night.

6 Horn Assembly problem

Failure Date: 08/26/2014

As I was leaving work, I started up my Jeep and the flashers started flashing by themselves. After about 5 minutes of turning the Jeep on and off, turning the hazard switch on and off, it finally stopped. A few weeks later, for the 5th time, my Jeep refused to start after a stop at the local pharmacy. The horn has not worked for about a year now, and right before it died, it would honk randomly whether the Jeep was parked, key in the ignition or not. It has also stalled a few times on the freeway. Dealer has recommended replacement of the tipm and says that this is a common occurrence.
