1 Air Bag problem

My daughter was hit by a semi truck on us-23 today. The trailer fishtailed hit the back end of Jeep. I hit the guard rail. All four corners of the Jeep were hit. The air bags did not deploy. The front driver tire fell off. The back window and passenger side trunk window blew out.

2 Air Bag problem

The contact's sister owns a 2012 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated that upon opening the door of the vehicle, the contact's sister became aware that the driver's side headrest had deployed. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was previously repaired under NHTSA campaign number: 17v640000 (seats, air bags). The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the dealer for diagnostic testing. A case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 86,000.

3 Air Bag problem

While my vehicle was sitting in our driveway, the ahr for the drivers seat activated. While at the time I had not received a notice " that im aware of" this could have been a very bad ending for this hitting my head while driving. Although the recall showing is for the ahr not working, this one did it all by it self. Not safe.

4 Air Bag problem

Horn stopped working. Tested actual horn another way and it operates properly but when driving it does not work someone mentioned it could be the clock spring. Is this covered under warranty or other reports of this malfunctioning for a recall?.

Jeep died while driving on the dash it said no fuse then my battery died also my alternator I still haven't been able to fix it because I don't know where to look we took it to a mechanic and he replaced the alternator 5 times and still has issues.

When driving through town the dash lights up completely with all the warnings coming on and the wipers turn on and won't turn off. The warnings include the brakes and airbags. This has happened 3 times in a few days. We had it diagnosed and they said it's the tipm module. This Jeep doesn't even have 100k miles yet and there are tons of reports of this issue online.

We were involved in an accident on the NY state thruway 87. The airbags did not deploy and the seatbelts did not engage. If the airbags had deployed my husband would not have been injured as seriously as he was.

My daughter was run off the road in her Jeep Liberty on a highway going about 70mph. . She hit a guard rail and rolled the Jeep. The only air bag that deployed was the steering wheel one and it only came out after she stopped rolling. None of the other airbags deployed!!! thankfully she is only bruised all over her body. Her seatbelt is what saved her. Luckily that worked. I have contacted Jeep about this and haven't heard back yet.

Takata recall I have been told by the Jeep dealerships that they have not been given the product needed to replace these defective airbags in my car. I do not feel safe letting family members or myself drive this car with the potential of the faulty airbag deploying. We need this car fixed because we need it to drive.

Takata recall: manufacturer numbert56 NHTSA recall number17v-640; took vehicle to hall Jeep autogroup: not told parts unavailable for repair - found out only by reading the receipt after 3 hours at dealer. Vehicle only has 69,285 miles and suffering failures: steering rack assembly: not told my steering failed an inspection - power steering leak noted on receipt; repair estimate $1,600. I had been driving under normal conditions and found out inadvertently when I brought my vehicle to dealer for airbag recall. Heat blower abruptly stopped working: power module determined to have shorted; repair estimate $235; normal driving conditions, suddenly stopped blowing heat.

Need orc module replaced due to a recall t56. Ran my VIN number and it states there is a recall and parts are available. Went to dealership and they state there is no parts available for my Jeep and will not be available until April 2018. Why is NHTSA stating there is a part available? I was told with this recall there is 14 different parts and my part cskdt562aa was not available. So am I going to have to risk driving my Jeep and pray I do not have a wreck? I have had a cervical fusion and very afraid to drive my only vehicle. Someone needs to step up and do something even if it takes loaning me another vehicle.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the technician replaced the heater box. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not offer assistance. Additionally, the contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 13v282000 (electrical system, air bags) and 17v640000 (seats, air bags). The failure mileage was 85,000. Tl- takata recall. The contact owns a 2012 Jeep Liberty. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 17v640000 (seats, air bags) however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer whitten brothers of richmond located at 10701 midlothian turnpike, richmond, va 23235 was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy until April 2018. The manufacturer was contacted at 877-426-5337 and was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer stated that they were not able to confirm when the parts were to become available. A case number was provided but the contact did not have the case number. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect. Sj.

18 Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2017

Vehicle dash light for passenger air bag remains illuminated with and without a passenger present. Remains illuminated driving and stationary. The center console below the radio indicated that the passenger air bag is off. Took it to the dealership where they ran a system diagnostics. Fault 17612 failed orc 1. 00. Dealership recommended the orc be replaced. Price quoted was $358. 69. Only drove the vehicle for 2 years and the mileage is at 17,612.

We are being charged for an orc module because this particular year make and model only qualifies for a tipm reprogram, although makes and models of the previous year and latter years qualify for free orc module replacement and tipm reprogram. We are now being charged $375 for something we had no control over.

The orc module and the abs modules both failed and had to be replaced. The dealership couldn't tell me why so I had to replace out of pocket. The airbag and break lights among other lights were always on and also the door locks would randomly trigger to lock and unlock. The speedometer would also not work at times. These problems would happen when the vehicle was stopped or in motion and on any type of road.

Cluster light came on prior to having the recall for NHTSA campaign number: 13v282000 completed. I took in the Jeep to have the recall completed, but it did not solve the issue. I was informed that the occupant restraint module was defective, and not covered on the 2012 Jeep Liberty recall, only the 2011. The estimated price to replace the module is $580. 00. I have seen multiple other reports from 2012 Jeep Liberty owners who are experiencing the same issue. I believe the recall should be expanded to include the 2012 model for module replacement, and not just reflash.

The airbag module gave our at 51000 miles. Reading the internet this is a common problem on Jeep Liberty 2012 models. Yet the Jeep corp refuses to come clean on the matter. Collection well over $500 per customer for the module and installation at the dealerships.

I was involved in an accident in my 2012 Jeep Liberty when another driver pulled left I front of me to make their right turn into a parking lot. My truck drove over hi and on the way down struck a parked car and flipped over on to its hood. The entire interior caved in directly on to my head and not a single air bag deployed. I was hospitalized and was already handicapped so this exacerbated my injuries pronouncly and the increased pain, both physical and mental, led to my wife leaving, loss of employment, family, you name it and it's been lost because of this accident. When you see pics, you'll understand why paramedics were shocked I was alive at all. -scott linden 818. 384. 2182 (1st 2 pics are exterior, 3rd pic is of my driver's seat itself and how I managed avoiding being split in 1/2 is beyond me. ).

Airbag warning dash light stays lit, all of a sudden. Vehicle miles approximately 46000. Vehicle has never been in an accident.

Safety recall n36 (nht#13v-282 calls for flashing tipm & replacing occupant restrant control module. This VIN was not included in the recall, so when I took it in today (srs light on) , the charge was 400$. Why was this VIN not included when others (ka, kk, etc, not kx) were. Seems fairly related.

Tl- the contact owns a 2012 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated that the air bag warning lamp remained illuminated after the vehicle was repaired under NHTSA campaign id number: 13v282000 (air bags and electrical system). The contact mentioned that the dealer only reset the head restraint and did not flash the tipm or replaced the occupant restraint control module. The manufacture was notified of the failure and they refused to repair the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 62,000. Pam.

Called dealership August 1st for the recall on head restaints. I have an appointment for the 8th. The next evening when started my car the air bag deploy light stays on on dashboard. The light by gearshift flashed at first and said air bag for passenger side not on. I saw another complaint at 43,000. Miles with same issue on this site.

Air bag is on and won't go off. It's been on since August 1st 2014. I want this fixed before it's blows up in my face or one of my family members. If that happens then there will be a lawsuit.

Submission from constituent re Chrysler recall notice. 2012 Jeep Liberty. The consumer received recall notice 13v282000. However, the dealer informed there were no such recall. Also, the consumer was having an issue with the vehicle not wanting to start, intermittently. In early June, the vehicle would not start. The dashboard lit up, but there was no noise, no clicking, nothing. He made several attempts, but it would not start. After the sixth try, it started. The dealer was unable to replicate the problem. The consumer stated it happened again, multiple times.

Started car in the am on the way to work and after 10 minutes the air bag idiot light flashes and stays on. It is going on 10 days and the light is still on . I will stop by the dealer tomorrow 5-10-2014 to see what is needed and if the car is safe to drive.

2012 Jeep Liberty. Consumer writes in regards to air bag alert light malfunction and active head restraints recall notice. The consumer stated the air bad light recently illuminated. When she went to the dealer, she was informed the recall did not apply to her vehicle. However the vehicle did need an occupant restraint control module, which was not covered under the recall.

I was in a wreck 3/24/2014 ,I was driving on the interstate when I was hit on the left side of the driver door and back left door behind the driver seat. I saw the car coming towards me at a angle when I looked over to see if I could change lanes, she hit me and the car started to roll over. . From that all I remember I woke up bleeding severely from 7 inch cut to my head. I was then transported to uab trauma unit for several days. I have injuries to my cervical neck/spine and shoulder . I am still suffering from the trauma from ptsd. I was called several times after my wreck about the recalls on the head restraint. Restraint control (orc) module must be replaced. For 2012 model kk vehicles: the totally integrated power module (tipm) must be reprogrammed.
