Driving on us27 the right rear tire separated, causing $2800 worth of damage to the right side, moldings, bumper abd tail light assembly. Tires had about 14,000 miles on them, were properly inflated and about 18 months old. After inspection all remaining tires had the beginnings of tread separation. I am submitting a claim with general tire.

While the vehicle was parked consumer noticed stress marks and thinner treads located on the inner and outer sides of the tires. Consumer took vehicle to dealer for inspection.

Consumer was traveling 30mph on highway and heard a noise coming from rear of vehicle. She was able to pull over to the shoulders, and there was a burning smell. She noticed that right rear tire had exploded from inside of tire. Goodyear, wrangler sra#a, 16inch, dot 4b08dywr1501. There were no injuries at this time.
