Snapped rear control arm. I own this vehicle in a salt state. No issues prior, it literally rusted and snapped with myself and my 5 year old in the car, causing me to lose control and almost crash.

About 6 months ago the passenger side front end to hit the ground, just after going 60 miles an hour thankfully turning in daughter's driveway. Lower ball joint passenger side came apart. On Monday doing 35 mph the driver side hits the pavement hard! luckily I ditched in a driveway on the left! the tire slammed into the fender well breaking the plastic there and the piece that goes back under the doors? ball joint broke completely into? I'm on my third day of working in the rain alongside a road repairing this?.

Lower ball joints gave out on driver’s side while turning, snapping the wheel/tire from the car and dropping vehicle down abruptly. Dealership who fixed the lower control arm and hitch recalls, did not fix and said there was no lower ball joint recall- which was a confirmed recall and lead to vehicle damage and safety hazard.
I scheduled an appointment to do a recall with state line Chrysler 2 weeks in advance. State line Chrysler, 1001 w 104th st, kansas city, mo 64114 the recall was: manufacturer recall numberu38, NHTSA recall number18v-278. I took the day off work, arrived at 9am, only to have them tell me they hadn't ordered the parts. I asked them to look at a seat belt issue I was having since I was already there. I called just before closing and they hadn't gotten to it and they advised me to come get my vehicle and reschedule everything when I could secure another day off work. I can't imagine this is how a safety recall and a seat belt issue is supposed to work. I feel obligated to let you know, because of the safety concerns I have for myself and others who may experience something similar.

I have a 2005 Jeep Liberty sport. I was backing out of my driveway when I heard a crunching sound. I got out of the car and saw that the passenger side of my car was much lower than the driver's side. I noticed that their was windshield wiper fluid pouring out of the front end. Upon inspection, I noticed that the ball joint had snapped and the control arm was almost on the ground. Had I been able to get to the freeway as planned, I could have been seriously injured. I called to verify recall information and was informed that the ball joint recall issue had been resolved. However, with further investigation, it seems that this issue is happening after the repairs as well. I have attached pictures. [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
Right upper ball joint control arm collapsed while in the drive-through at mcdonald's could not move the car turn it or do anything it completely collapsed on the front right side due to corrosion of the lower ball joint and then I know this has been recalled however my car is not under the recall and I don't understand why because it was the same exact issue it's a Jeep Liberty.
Drivers side lower ball joint catastrophic failure with no warning signs evident except split boot(s). Separation/break from upper control arm, tie rod and steering assembly at low speed reverse. Nhtsa recall 06v288000 (daimler-Chrysler notification code: f23) of lower ball joints performed by Chrysler authorized dealer/repair station 2007. Dealer contacted two (2) weeks prior to incident to coordinate possible re-repair and/or consideration of faulty oem parts used in original recall.
On 7/10 I'm driving down the road towards the freeway. I hear a very loud pop that startles me. I pull over & discover lower ball joint has separated causing the lower control arm to slip out of socket into the wheel & than separate from wheel. I mean its still attached to the vehicle but vehicle is completely disabled. It caused significant damage to the right front wheel and somewhat minor damage to the right front fender. Theres literally metal shaving all over the road from it carving the metal out of my wheel. Get home and my boyfriend tells me that he's discovered 3 safety recalls. So we call fca (fiat Chrysler automobiles) they said they would have it towed to the dealership no problem but they needed a $103 for the tow that they would reimburse later. They told us to pick any dealership. So fca has it towed from my driveway on 7/13 at 8:45pm to lithia Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram of portland dealership. Safety recall f23 was replaced by the dealership but the manufacturer (fca) has not fixed the damage and is denying responsibility. Fca calls on 9/16 to finally tell us that a certified inspector has determined the damage to the wheel and fender is not from the recall. Which is a lie and I can take it to a mechanic and have that verified. They also go on to state they are not going to reimburse the $103 for the tow. So we go to the dealership to pick up the car the next day. I speak with will in the service department and ask to see a copy of the inspection that the fca is talking about. Will tells me that fca never sent an inspector out and there is no inspection report stating that the damage is not from the recall. I have lots of photos of everything. Please contact me.

My front ball joint and control arm broke why driving down the road.
My vehicle is a 6 yr old low mileage chevy equinox the stabilitrak light came up as well as the service power streering. It has also lost power in the highway and stalls or won't accelerate at times which makes is very dangerous since I could get hit by someone in the highway. I have taken it to the dealership and they have replaced o then sensor which cost me $400 but not fixed I took it to another mechanic and they replaced some fuses and sensors another $500 still not fixed. The car is now bach at the dealership and it has been a few days. This seems to be. Very common problem with the equinox as I have spoken to a few people who own one and they just ended up trading their car. I don't want another car payment and for a 6 year old car with low mileage this is not normal.

12/8/2020: my daughter had just returned home from college literally that morning driving through nyc to DE. That afternoon she went out to see a friend and thought she had a flat tire while driving at about 50 mph and struggled to pull over. It was at night so we couldn't see the damage. We called aaa to come change the tire. He examined the fluid under the tire and then it was obvious that tire rod fell and punctured the tire. We could also see a long black trail where the tire rod dragged on the road before she could stop. The tow truck driver said if she didn't stop when she did she would have fell into the deep ditch next to it and it would have flipped over. Considering it was dark she was lucky and even luckier this didn't happen on the highway in nyc only a few hours earlier. But what was even more disturbing is the front upper and lower control arms were just replace the rear lower control arms due to corrosion was done at the dealer, along with an alignment. (NHTSA campaign number: 18v278000). It's clear that the recall should also include replacing the front control arms. The window regulator also failed the week before.
I had just gotten off the highway and took the wrong turn so in the middle of the street I tried to whip a uturn and when I turned my wheel to the left I heard a loud crack and my vehicle was unlevel so I asked my passenger to see if we had blown a tire and he said it looked fine but I got out and looked and saw that the whole entire wheel assembly fell off. I had brake fluid draining in the street and there was the piece (control arm) that was snapped in half leaving my car stuck and broken .

Son was driving home when the driver side wheel came off, in mid turn-. On a public road, about to turn onto the interstate. Luckily, wasn't going 65. The car had to be towed. Our mechanic said the ball joint broke loose, bending the axle as well, damaging the wheel and tire. There has been a recall of this nature, but said it didn't apply to this VIN. I am totally convinced it must be defective as well. This could have been a deadly accident. I am begging for this to be investigated.
When I turn sharply both left and right the car stops, the wheels are hitting some bar under the vehicle.
My lights are turning on dash. It grabs real bad and acts like it going to die in traffic. Dangerous. My 4 wheel drive will not work.
Spontaneous ball joint separation.
I had to have my rf hub bearing replaced 3 times. My vehicle was purchased new. The first time milage was around 75000 mile second was at about 150 and again around 255 its appears once a year. I am now having problems with leaks. My transmission is leaking, water pump leaking and oil all at once. Going in for inspection today. Started with trans leak followed by these other leaks. I noticed the vehicle was leaking trans fluid and it was jerking hesitate to go into gear. Added trans fluid was find but found myself adding more fluid within next 2 days so I know it has to be checked out. Now the vehicle is running hot my reservoir was not at max so I filled it up. Needle started go up to hot mark but did not get hot no smoke nothing. Would go back down as long as I was driving. Checked today ending oil and it is low. Just had oil change over a month ago. Will keep you informed after inspection. My vehicle is now at 255 thousand miles. I have had regular maintenance.

Front left lower ball broke causing tire and wheel blowout and loss of steering control at 60 mph. Was on highway on right hand curve.
Turning with noise on the freeway and street. Clicking when pushing brakes.
The car wold not start, had to push the gear shift forward and then it starts. The "check engine" light was on, the light below -- electronic trottle control and the service four wheel drive lite was on. Turned car off, turned back on, had trouble starting, again had to push the gear shift forward, the only light that went off was the service four wheel drive light.
Customer was driving down the highway when the cable that holds the spare tire snapped and caused the spare tire to fly down the highway, endangering the lives of other drivers.
Twice now after reversing my car a little distance, the car would only forcefully move forward after putting it in drive, and it would stop immediately after taking my foot off of the gas without touching the brake. I tried to push the brake down to put the car in park, but the brake pedal was stuck up. I have had the car towed twice to a garage, but they can't seem to find the problem and the vehicle will move again after sitting for hours.

I lease my vehicle from jd byrider we first noticed the windows after my purchase. I went there 3 times he said he would have to take the door apart. While at the drive inns I realized there was no heat I was freezing they attempted to fix it worked like 2 days then stopped. The 4 wheel drive sticks I'm not sure if its electrical cuz the windows dont work n when it rains the tailgate light comes on with the inside lights?since I bought it the wheels make a really loud noise you cannot have windows down its behind my seat. I have read about ppls cars catching on fire they had no way to escape due to windows in these Jeeps I have been in a burning van on route 20 in girard community auto did something bad to my van and this is the first time me driving in years. My 30 days are up and I cannot pay to fix these problems I pay $380 a month for car payment & $700 rent I have 4 children and a grandson we need heat a safe vehicle to drive.
Driving vehicle and vehicle started making popping noises right rear, and vehicle felt like the rear end was fishtailing why front was still going straight. Took to certified dealer and they reported unsafe vehicle report filed due to frame rotted through on right rear where lower control arm attaches to the frame. This is a recall item for 2006 Jeep Liberty in may 2018 (u38). Outreached to mopar and as told no recall on VIN for this yet if authorized dealer stated it is what recall is they would file claim. When told it is, was documented on invoice, mopar stated they never said that, was nothing could do, would not file claim against u38 recall, and because unable to fix and old vehicle nothing would be done to correct this.
I was backing out of a parking space in the quick chek parking lot after I came out of the store to go to work and I heard a big bang thump. I immediately put the vehicle in park and looked around thinking maybe someone was behind mebut there was not. I had a few guys push the vehicle slowly to another parking space about 200 ft away to stop the vehicle and put into park again. I immedialtely called roadside assistance to come to help me after I looked underneath the front right tire to see that the wheel was not attached to the front suspension under the vehicle. A flatbed came and told me that I needed a wrecker to lift and also dollies to get this vehicle to the closest automotive facility nearby. Once there the next day they inspected it and told that I needed a lower and upper ball joints and also control arm for this vehicle. I called fca Chrysler Jeep Dodge about this matter and was told that if I was to tow it to one of there facilities that if the recall on it that was done in 2007 was the same problem that they would address this matter and fix it free of charge and it would be covered for the recall for the most part.
My steering wheel is hard to turn makes a loud noise sheathed my car is warmed up or not it has power steering.
Keep Liberty limited edition 2006 issue with front and back control arms along with suspension issues. I have fixed this 2 to 3 times in about 2 years.
Manufacturers recall: my vehicle makes a serious vibration in the steering wheel and a loud humming noise when I drive down the road. It pulls to the right terribly and wears oot my tires constantly. It fish tales when I accelerate the gas petal and also when I take my foot off of the gas. It walks the road. And feels unstable when u reach 60mph. It feels very unsafe and does it's own thing when we are driving . It just goes all over the road . The results are the same whether it's being driven in the city or highway. Unpredictable my vehicle has been recalled by Chrysler u38 is the recall number and it's off the recall expansion of 12v-085.
Took my Liberty to my mechanic because it started making a horrible sound up front when ever I made a turn. Upon inspection my lower ball joints had disintegrated, crumbled into their hands. They could not believe how lucky I was that it did not break while driven. Nothing was holding it in or together. Come to find out there are recalls on both the upper and lower ball joints. I was never notified. I have had the lowers fixed and paid for with lifetime warranted parts. I need reimbursed for the lower $488. 27. The upper ball joints also must be fixed on a separate recall that I was never notified of. Do these people have any idea how bloody and devastated an accident would be when your wheel shears off and there is no steering? it's called flipping the fringing Jeep over!!! not only is it unacceptable that I wasn't notified but I could have killed my father and others in an accident. My mechanic told me straight up if I had gone over a bump or turned I would have wreaked! I can not believe that there are other people that have had accidents with more damage or a full total of theirs and others are not being reimbursed for the entire damages. Thi fixed wrong the first time by the dealer, before their wreak. How is that not their responsibility? there is no excuse for any of those Jeeps or mine not being fixed. These are straight up recalls something is wrong with this, really wrong.
Driving down the highway and suddenly I had little steering control and it felt like I blew a tire. Pulled to the side of the highway, and saw that my tire was blown and my rim was damaged because the ball joint snapped and the control arm went through the rim. This was on the front drivers side and happeneded about 3 months ago. A similar thing happened today but it affected the front passenger side.
1. Seat belt will not latch in rear driver seat to properly restrain child. Chrysler will not cover so child is being latch with a rear driver side shoulder belt connected to the middle seat latch. 2. Wheel speed sensor has been replaced twice, causes abs, esc and 4wd to stop working. This happens typically while driving either residential or highway roads, random times, temperatures and speeds. 3. Door lock actuator has stopped working for the forth time which prevents child safety lock from working. The door cannot lock/unlock other than manually compressing the lock from the inside of the door therefore I have to climb in the back seat to unlock the door or risk my child opening the door while driving. The other three door lock actuators have been replaced, not covered by warranty. 4. The clock loses a minute to two minutes a week. 5. When the car is in off position and keys removed from ignition, the vehicle has electrical surges through the console after sitting for several minutes. The battery has not been run down, I'm not sure where the power is coming from. 6. The vehicle started to lose power on highway and stopped shifting from park to drive, at 80,000 transmission work had to be performed to properly run without risk.
Constant grinding, squeaking with movement of steering wheel, was told it was ball joint and arm, also there was a recall about this. . . Happens when driving. . . . . Was there a recall regarding this?.
