Two problems related to manifold/header/muffler/tail pipe have been reported for the 2012 Jeep Patriot. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The exhaust manifold has multiple cracks on it and some are around actual welds. This caused a permanent catalyst failure. It caused a loss in power and the vehicle would surge at times during acceleration.
Intake manifold system: the intake manifold is causing the vehicle to stall and turn off while driving. Difficultly starting the vehicle and poor gas mileage.
