Took the Jeep to dealer for PA state inspection . During the inspection it was revealed a problem with a rear disk brake. The inside pad has wore out do to not retracting. This Jeep has a electric emergency brake. I feel that there is a problem with this system, causing it not to retract the inside pad. The pad a wore complely out damaging the disk. I had to have the rear brakes replaced. Jeep has only 23000 miles on it. I believe an investigation into the electric emergency brake not working right. If not for my states yearly inspection law the problem world not have been known and could have caused an accident.

Constant engine stalling at highway speeds and normal speeds causing all engine power to cease in my vehicle leaving it to the mercy of my brakes which lock up upon power loss and makes it extremely difficult to stop. Brought vehicle to dealership multiple times just to be told that they could not duplicate the problem. It continues to happed and I have already had one small collision and have almost been forced off of a cliff 2 times since these problems have started.

Brakes have been screeching when I slow down to make a turn on residential road. But when I have the breaks checked I'm told they are fine. Also rhe passenger side small yellow light keeps goubf in and out. I brought it to the dealership a few months ago but the light came back on.
The electronic emergency brake would not disengage using the button, by driving forward or reverse or by the over rose suggested by the manufacturer. I was unable to drive the vehicle with an emergency brake engages. Had to have it towed. Was told it was the 4th Renegade he'd picked up for the same issue in two weeks. Tow truck driver even called Dodge to see if I was by any chance under a recall yet. Seems like this part is failing a lot. My Renegade doesn't even have 30,000 miles yet. Thankfully the vehicle was parked in my own driveway at the time it occurred.

I purchased this vehicle March 2020 and was told that it was new ("a left over"). We thought it was used as a demo by sales. As soon as I got it the brakes started to grind. The salesperson told us after signing all paperwork that sometimes the emergency light comes on while driving. There is something with the rotors and ig burton in symnra, delaware advised without proper repair it was safe to drive several times. Now without touching any controls the miles changed to km and the heating system changed as well. When traveling down the road we noted the brakes and with the mileage I saw it as soon as I started it up.
The car stops and turns off while in motion. Car lights turn on but engine will not turn on. Had battery replaced twice. The car won't turn off even after pushing the button and exiting the vehicle. Lights won't turn off . Key fob is detected when not near and not detected when inside car. Have gone to the extents of unplugging battery to reset computer after hours it will then turn on and work for about 1 week. With light issues in between. It's become a hazzard since the car will just turn off while driving and will not turn on even with a jump start from a tow truck. The car will become dead 100 percent. Only lights turn in at times until battery gets drained out. Then nothing works.
I was on a highway going 65mph and my engine cut off, steering locked up, and I had no control of breaks or anything. I could not get over or even put my hazards on to signal to other drivers I could not stop or get to another lane. When a tow truck arrived he tried a new battery and everything and could not even get the car in neutral to be able to tow it to the side of the road. Had to get special truck there to get the car to safety and a shop. After getting to the shop they said it was an issue with my water pump that caused everything to shut down suddenly.
Vehicle has less than 2000 miles and the brakes are making noise when braking. Dropped off the vehicle at the dealership to resolve the issue.

When I stop and park the vehicle still rolls in park before completely stopping in park.
Tl the contact owns a 2016 Jeep Renegade. While the contact's daughter was driving 45 mph, she heard an abnormal noise. In addition, the brake pedal required excessive force to stop the vehicle. The driver parked on the side of the road and inspected the vehicle. The contact was an independent mechanic and also inspected the vehicle. The driver called Jeep Chrysler Dodge ram fiat of ontario (located at 1202 auto center dr, ontario, CA 91761, (909) 906-7097 and notified them of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 89,643.
Tl- the contact owns a 2017 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds they would hear a rattling and knocking noise coming from underneath the front passenger seat. The vehicle's rear middle seat belt failed to latch and lock into the buckel. The rear driver side seat belt failed to retract. The vehicle's oil change/ check engine light remained illuminated despite recently having the motor changed, therefore oil levels being met. The vehicles breaking park assist warning light was illuminated as well. The contact took the vehicle to the dealership (larry h miller colorado Jeep located at 350 s havana st. Aurora, CO 80012 phone number 720-262-2215) who stated the lower transmission mount was fractured and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The seatbelts were repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and opened a case regarding an issue. The approximate failure mileage was 11. Gl.
Purchased 4/20/2017 the problems began with the ac going out at 10000miles. The dealership didn't want to fix it told us to drive with the windows down. After arguing about our warranty we got a loaner. Next they replaced the wiring harness 2 times. Again, did not want to provide loaner had to complain for them to honor warranty agreement. Then transmission skips and radio frequency hub was replaced twice while in the shop for 4 months from Dec 14 2018 till around March 17 2019. Steering module replaced due to the steering wheel in the center getting completely hot. Complained about the transmission skipping still. Check engine light always comes on. Automatic start faulty. Will attach all repair invoices. Most recent! 5/6/2019, a Monday the car was scheduled due to a recall on the fuel pump and the automatic start would not work. Along with that when the car started the screen would flash warning signs: emergency break system, airbag system warning. The service department claimed to not have a loaner. However, Friday 5/10/2019 I had not received a call back and on my way to take my daughter to school. The emergency breaks locked up while driving 70 mph down fm 1289 heading to port o'connor, texas from port lavaca, texas. I went straight to the dealership and demanded a loaner. The vehicle is clearly a lemon! however larry taylor, a service technician, told us "I value my life I would not drive this vehicle". Paul perez service department manager said "I wouldn't put my family in that vehicle. " then they demanded we bring the loaner back 5/17/2019 to pick up our vehicle. The vehicle according to them had a short circuit, this is the second time mind you, and made the emergency breaks engage and the seat belts malfunction. Also, the airbags malfunctioned flashing warning as the breaks locked up. I could only select 3 options but seat belts needs to be checked.
Every so miles the electronic braking system comes on while driving and tells me to service brakes now. This started when the car only had 100 miles on it and continues to at 4500 miles. Talked to dealer ship and they will do nothing about it.
I was on a two lane highway on a straightaway with cruise control set at 70 miles per hour. With out warning my car turned to the right off of the highway and did not brake. I hit an embankment at full speed and rolled. I was not impaired nor did I fall asleep; however, due to injuries I sustained in the accident I have no recollection of the events causing me to leave the road. The vehicle did not skid or swerve and drove to the right until it started rolling. This vehicle should be investigated to discover possible reasons for it suddenly pulling right without brakes. Thankfully, the safety features of this vehicle saved my life, by all accounts they were expecting a fatality. I walked away with my life. I just want to know what caused this Jeep Renegade trailhawk 4x4 to suddenly turn right and not slow down as I know I would not have left the road in that manner for no reason and certainly would have been standing on the brakes and pulling to the left to avoid the embankment. I have full confidence in the Jeep brand and know that regardless of the cause of my accident, the safety features of this vehicle are amazing!.
Jeep Renegade parking brake came on and would not go off. Jeep was unable to be moved and had to be dragged up on tow truck and dragged into the shop. This created a hazardous situation as the vehicle could not be moved to safety. Also Jeep failed to cover and of the repairs.
Intermittent check parking break, check air bag warning keeps coming on. Also will not recognize when driver seat belt is engaged. This happens when the vehicle is started and at least one of the three warnings will stay on when the vehicle is in motions.
I turned on my Jeep Renegade with the automatic start button in like 30 weather. I drove it down the highway for about 10 minutes and the service engine light turned on. I also had the air bag, brake warning sign turn on. I stopped to put gas and just the service engine light stayed on. I had a diagnostic test done with code p0128- thermostat failure. Had to have it replaced in canada since I am on a temporary work permit. So it cost me an arm and a leg for service. Checked online and many people have had the same problem.
Takata recalled.
Renegade manual transmission. Electronic parking break has issues disengaging. Shows it's turned off but after traveling a little while the light comes back on. I'd you want to take it to the dealer for diagnostics they charge you for inspection. If there's something wrong with the breaks that isn't covered by warranty you have to pay out of pocket. Come on Chrysler. . . Really my new car may need brakes at 6700 miles. What's that say about the quality of you product?.
Initial take off from a parked position, the transmission jerks hard through gears 1-3 in automatic transmission. Coming to a stop or slowing down it kicks hard, often times jerking forward and not stopping. Turning the wheel left or right, there is a grind or rub within the rack and pinion system. No warning lights on the dash or check engine lights are present.
I was hearing a noise when I brake so I took my car to the dealer to have the front brakes looked at. I was told that the front rotors needed to be replaced. I was shocked because the car is 11 months old with 19,152 miles there is no way that I should need to have my rotors and brakes replaced. I researched and found that this model is known to have brake pad issues which causes the rotors to have grooves. It is unacceptable that I should have to replace brakes this soon.
I purchased this vehicle used with 6000-ish miles on it, the front passenger brake system had started making a slight noise, somewhat scraping or dragging. When I brought in the car for a tire change or balance, the issue was brought up to me at big o tires in aurora CO, that an issue of the brake system has a scraping or wear that usually found in a much older vehicle or one with much more mileage. I cannot at this time give the exact explanation of the issue, but I recently had an issue with the front passenger tire with a slow leak, since the tire was replaced the issue with the scraping noise has returned. 2nd issue: the headlamps have always had a weak beam, not giving a good illumination of the road area ahead of the vehicle even when the weather is clear. It barely reveals the road ahead of me. When it is raining or snowfall, it is extremely poor. I have considered bringing it in for a change in the headlamps to a higher amp or extreme high reflecting blue lamp color that I am encountering in high illumination from oncoming vehicles. But had feared: cost, and that it would not change anything or make other electrical parts of strain to function.
Tl the contact owns a 2018 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated that the brake pedal traveled to the floorboard several times when the brake pedal was depressed. There was no warning indicator illuminated. While on an incline, the vehicle rolled in reverse while the brake pedal was applied. The contact was concerned that the failure could result in a crash. In addition, the vent control function failed to operate properly to emit warm air. The dealer (big o Dodge Chrysler Jeep ram, 2645 laurens rd, greenville, SC 29607, (864) 288-5000) was notified of the failure and scheduled a diagnostic appointment. The dealer provided a loaner vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was not available.
On 2 occasions the emergency parking brake would not deactivate. After numerous restarts and waiting the parking brake released. On both occurrences the parking brake lever did not respond nor did putting it in gear . The Jeep Renegade is a manual shift and both of these occurrences the vehicle was parked in a shopping center parking lot.
I've had two separate occurrences happened to me. The first one I came to a stop sign and made a complete stop, when I went to accelerate my accelerator, brake pedal and steering wheel locked, I had to put the car on park and turn the engine off in the middle of the street, wait a moment, turn it on, it took a while to turn on but then everything went back to normal and I continued my journey. The second time, I was I was driving and slowed down to make a left turn, as I started turning my car completely stopped in the middle of the road, again, everything locked, and I almost got it with oncoming traffic. Once again I had to put the car on park and shut the engine off in the middle of traffic and wait for it to turn back on. I have no idea what is causing this but it's very dangerous and I could've been seriously injured as well as other people.
Vehicle starts engine. However all emergency and warnings lights go on. Brakes and steering lock. Car will not shut off until battery is unpluged. This happens repeatedly and randomly.
Driver side power seat blows fuses and it gets stuck in odd positions, it has happened when driving and parked. This is my mother in law's appointment car and me and my wife have the need to drive the vehicle to her appointments as one time she took it by herself and being disabled she always backs the seat to get in and out easier, well the seat got stuck and she had to drive it home like that barely reaching the pedals as no one was available to drive it for her and we were 30 hours away in another state. We moved and have been arguing with the factory and 2 dealerships ever since. Also the brakes are always squealing and barely stops the car when hot, they look worn out and glazed, dealer said this is normal for the car.
My engine light came on,my a/c blows hot air and on 5/22/2018 my electric e break locked up while I was driving! in the park where I live.
Tl- the contact owns a 2017 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated that various speeds the vehicle felt as though there was an abnormal veering to the right and severe vibration. In addition an abonormal noise and jerking when the brake was depressed. The vehicle was taken to turlock Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram located 1600 auto mall dr turlock CA however the failure could not be identified. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 287. Kh.

The part on back order. Chrysler star report missing from the system, and they refuse payment or downpayment assistance to switch me out of a vehicle I no longer feel safe in.
I picked up my Renegade from the service center yesterday for major issues with the auto shutting off while driving, blue-tooth, key fob, auto-start, acceleration and tire gauge issues. On the way back to work it felt like the brakes were grinding. As I was approaching a stop sign, the car was going around 15-20 mph and it lunged forward and stopped very hard and abruptly and the emergency brake then turned on, on its own. I turned it off and cautiously proceeded. Now, whenever I put the car in park, the emergency brake automatically turns on and the car feels rough while driving, like the brakes are partially engaged while I am driving. I have only put less than 10 miles on the Jeep since picking it up yesterday. This is a real threat to my safety. This is my second complaint and the fourth major issue. Do I need to die in a crash before someone will listen to me and help? these cars need recalled and taken off the road.
Getting false warnings on instrument panel such as lights being that are still working, service electric park brake, sometime the service the electric park just intermittently comes on and goes off now it just stays on and parking break is functioning properly.
As driving out of the dealership I could hear the brakes squeaking. My first thought was since it was a brand new car, maybe the brakes need to be broken in. Although, now having over 20k miles, the brake squeak has gotten worse over time causing my rotors to become damaged with deep grooves. The car also jerks when shifting from 2nd to 3rd. It is embarrassing, especially when passengers in the vehicle, for my brand new, barely a year old, car to be jerking so roughly. If you are experiencing this same problem or something similar, please speak up so this problem can be resolved. There are others with the same complaint but have not spoken up, now is the time. Dont wait!.
The contact owns a 2017 Jeep Renegade. While the vehicle was stopped, the contact believed that the brake pedal was being depressed. The vehicle inadvertently lunged forward and rear ended another vehicle. The contact mentioned that the vehicle inadvertently lunged forward a second time and rear ended the preceding vehicle. The contact was certain that the brake pedal was depressed during the second failure as well. There were no warning indicators illuminated. There were no injuries and a police report was not filed. Upon starting the vehicle, the contact noticed that the speedometer changed from mph to kph. The vehicle was not taken to an independent mechanic or dealer for diagnostic testing. The contact believed that her vehicle was being hacked. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was approximately 4,700.
