My 2005 Jeep Wrangler unlimited has an overfilling problem every single time I fill up at the gas station. It doesn't matter if I use the lowest setting on the gas pump or if I manually use as little pressure as possible, it overfills every single time and gas pours out of the fill spout running down the body of the vehicle, on my hand, on my clothes and on the ground. This is an extremely dangerous problem and affects the 2003-2006 Jeep Wrangler series.

2005 Jeep tj while filling does not click the pump off and therefore leaks and spilss out all over the road causing an epa nightmare. Happens all the time when filling up. There is a known problem with Jeeps doing this but the government pays no attention. Maybe the epa is too busy worrying about something else other than fuel spillage and seepage into water supplies. . . ?.

Fuels sprays out of the fill point when filling at a gas station. I have had it spray into the air and into my mouth and close to my eyes. I have the nozzle in the hole and on auto stop and when it is full, the pump stops the fueling after the fuel come squirting out. This is a known problem and I am sick and dang tired of getting fuel all over my hands, face and clothing!.

Every time I fill up at the gas station fuel gushes out everywhere after the pump shuts off automatically.
2005 Jeep Wrangler ejects gasoline at every fill-up. After the pump clicks the vehicle filler neck shoots out a considerable amount of fuel (aprox 1cup +). On a windy day about a month ago, the fuel came out with enough force to go all over the vehicle, me, and onto my face. The problem is consistent and causes a substantial amount of fuel to spill out at every fill-up.
When I fill up my 2005 Jeep Wrangler unlimited it spits gas all over, alot of it. This is a safety hazzard! its horrible for the environment too. Jeep wont recall the problem. Thaey are ignoring the problem. Help us out, please. Thx.

Gasoline pours out every single time I fully fill it up. It happens on every Wrangler since 2003.
1- every time I fill up my 2005 Jeep Wrangler unlimited it overfills. 2- it happens all the time! every time I fill up. It overfills. To the point where I just stop it when it reaches 18 gallons. 3- my Jeep is out of warranty, my dealer will not correct the problem with out me paying for mistake done by Chrysler. I really question my safety. And the safety of my vehicle.

At the 65k mile mark everytime I fill up the gas will overflow and spill out of the filler tube. From the research I have done there are alot of tj owners that this is happening to. It is a safety problem because if I have the top off my 3 year old son sides right above the fuel filler tube and gas could splash onto him.

When fueling vehicle gas splashes out of fuel filler intake. This happens on just about every fill up. It doesn't appear to make any difference if you fill up slowly or at normal fill speed. Gasoline spilling on the side of the vehicle and spilling onto the ground can't be a safe thing.
Fuel spills/splashes out with every fill-up. Nozzle position or rate of fill does not change result. Have only ever used regular unleaded fuel, 87 grade w/ 10% or less ethanol. Approximately 1 cup of fuel ends up on the ground, the body of the Jeep, shoes, pants, and/or hands every single time. This is an environmental and health hazard.

Everything I fill my 05 Jeep Wrangler the gas spews out when the nozzle cuts off. This is something that started a few months ago. Before then was normal when filled. I talked to the Jeep dealer and was informed that there was no recall or anything that can be done.

When refueling, fuel will overflow from the filler neck before the pump will stop. Once the fuel comes out, the pump will then stop. This has happened regularly at different gas stations and results in approximately 0. 25 gallon of fuel on the vehicle and ground.
