Latches/locks/linkage problem #1

My 2006 Jeep Wrangler has been a problem since I bought it. The vehicle has been back to the dealership for part replacement repair over 7 times, and it has only 24,000 k. Won't detail each mechanical issue, but I have been very disappointed in this vehicle, and got rid of it last week.

Hood Latch problem #2

The right side hood latch has failed 4 times in the since I have owned the Jeep which was purchased new in June 2006. This is a catastrophic failure while driving at highway speeds allows the hood to lift and placing all of the load on the existing left hood latch. This causes the hood to bend but much more importantly if the left latch fails would allow the hood to lift an obscure the windshield. This is an obvious safety hazard. Latch has been replace by Jeep dealer under manufacturers warranty.
