Five problems related to wiring have been reported for the 2007 Jeep Wrangler. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
My airbag light comes on intermittently. I have tried cleaning the wiring connectors under the front seat but this has had no effect on the light going on or off. This happens sometimes as it is sitting still as well as while driving. I have found this being an issue while researching this problem online in every forum that I have searched in. This has been happening for several months now and I am concerned that the airbags won't deploy when and if needed. I have kids that drive and ride in this vehicle.
My Jeep lost all power and brakes while driving. The abs and brake lines are charred throughout the entire vehicle from overheating and the main wiring harness was damaged as well. The vehicle is currently and national Dodge jacksonville nc awaiting repairs. Mike in the service department says the abs overheated but no fire but another mechanic I had look at it said there was a small fire.
2007 Wrangler jk electronic throttle control warning illuminates followed by power loss while driving including complete engine shut-down in traffic. Dealer replaced electronic throttle control. . . Problem came back - dealer #2 now replacing e. T. C. Wiring harness. According to bloggers problem is common and widespread. Also learned Chrysler had a July 2007 recall of 80,000 vehicles which I was never informed of or recalled. I live near and drive on I-95 just outside nyc, one of the heaviest traffic areas in the USA. I need help/resolution!!!.
June 22, 2007 wa s the first incident. The newly purchased 2007 Jeep Wrangler unlimited was stopped at an intersection. The engine spontaneously shut off. My wife had to turn the key to the off position, then restart the engine. I immediately scheduled a service appointment at the car dealer. The service representative said that the Chrysler technician determine d the problem to be the fuel injection wiring harness. It was replaced. On July 7, 2007 Jeep Wrangler unlimited shut off again, while driving at approximately 75 mph on the freeway. This was a 100 degree day. I pulled to the side of the road, stopped the vehicle and restarted the engine.
