Filling up gas at station - splash back on 2 occasions, today (03 February 2014) and last week (26 January 2014), the gas nozzle was in the automatic position. In both times, a splash back of gasoline occurred when the gas nozzle reached the full level and the handle clicked. This occurred at 2 different gas stations. 5 Gasoline Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 11/07/2011

When filling my 2009 Jeep Wrangler with gas, the fuel overflows - often so much that it spills onto the ground. No matter how slowly or cautiously I pump the fuel, it still overflows! this has happened on multiple occasions! I have had other people fuel my vehicle to make certain it was not personal error - and it still overflows. It is my opinion that there is a malfunction in the vehicle. I have researched the matter and found that apparently I am not the only one having this issue. I ask that this be deemed a recall - and that the company pays to fix it. This malfunction could cause a fire and other issues related to gasoline exposure. It is not ethical that I can not fill my vehicle with gasoline without dealing with the extra cost, damage to my vehicle, and health risks associated with an overflow!.

6 Gasoline Fuel System problem

Fuel spills out of the fuel filler neck as fueling is near completed. This has happened on several occasions since August and I have tried various solutions and nothing seems to solve the problem. My Jeep Wrangler now has 37,257 miles and is no longer under warranty. Apparently this is a common problem with Jeep Wranglers.

9 Gasoline Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 02/07/2011

All three of our same like vehicles at work have same problem. After your gas just cuts off you can count a second or two and gas come flying out where you put it in. Just do a search on utube and you can see a perfect example of this. Put in something like Jeep Wrangler fueling. Also all three of our four door Jeep 2009 Wrangler right hand drive air bag lights are on. There has been a recall for this but Jeep will not do anything fore us. In the meantime our airbags will not work. The recall number is 11v528000 air bags frontal. They say our ours are not part of the recall. This is crazy. What can we do. Thank you.

10 Gasoline Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 01/10/2011

Fuel spills out (onto the ground) when I am filling up at a gas station in my '09 Jeep Wrangler rubicon. It is not safe and creates a hazardous condition at gas stations and for those who fill it up. . . This is me!.

11 Gasoline Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 12/20/2010

Fuel overflows when using an automatic fuel fill nozzel. Fuel will spill on the ground and sometimes on the operator. Can be a substantial amount. But does vary. Slow manuel filling is a must to avoid this.

When filling up gas at the end gas poors out all over the car and ground.

13 Gasoline Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 04/16/2010

When fueling the vehicle it always overflows spilling fuel onto the ground and on me.

14 Gasoline Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 06/16/2009

I have a 2009 Jeep Wrangler that spews gas everytime I fill up, this seems to be a big problem with the 2007-2010 Jeeps. It also have a bad clockspring from hitting a bump, another thing that goes bad often in the 2007-2010 Jeeps.

15 Gasoline Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 05/30/2009

2009 Jeep Wrangler 2 door rubicon w/ 6 speed manual transmission. Deceleration problem. Vehicle will accelerate sporadically when descending long steep grades forcing driver to ride brakes to keep under control. This occurs when vehicle approaches approximately 2000 rpm. It feels like just a slight acceleration, however, it's enough to put the vehicle into a coasting situation with no engine braking whatsoever. This also occurs when slowing for a stop sign. Accelerator pedal is completely released and the vehicle just goes into a coast. This situation could lead to brake fade on a long steep grade and accelerated brake wear. I've had no satisfaction at dealer. All I was told is that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle.

16 Gasoline Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 04/28/2009

I am aware of several instances of the following problem occurring which I feel needs to be addressed. I have a 2009 Jeep Wrangler unlimited and almost every time I fuel it, after the pump automatically clicks off, I get a splash of fuel out of the filler neck. This has been occurring, off and on, since I have owned the vehicle.
