The contact owns a 2010 Jeep Wrangler. While driving at 65 mph the vehicle suddenly accelerated to 90 mph. The contact applied extreme pressure to the brakes as the vehicle began to decrease in speed. There was an unusually high increase in engine rpms and the contact shut off the engine. The engine continued to idle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where they were unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer would not provide any assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileages were 10,000.
