2 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 04/03/2026

Keep abs / traction control module defective with no replacement available.

3 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 03/02/2026

The abs module (68259556ad) on my 2016 jku is not working (code c2200) and the part is not available anywhere. I tried buying online and reaching out to a dealership, but everyone acknowledges stellantis doesn’t have the part available. There are posts on Jeep forums from 2023 from people with the same issue which is causing their Jeeps to go into limp mode at highway speeds. I feel unsafe driving my car and there’s no current way to fix this issue.

4 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 02/22/2026

Anti-lock brake system stopped working rendering the car inoperable. The first incident: about 5 years ago the abs engaged the brakes while driving almost causing a collision. This incident occurred in guaynabo, pr. After this incident the abs module stopped working but the car was still operable. A week ago the pcm lost communication with the abs module bringing the car into "limp mode" (stuck in 3rd gear until y did not longer engaged the transmission. Also the speedometer stopped working. ) this happened while driving on a Sunday on busy road. This has been a common issue with Jeep Wranglers made from 2012 to 2018. The company at this moment is not producing replacement parts (abs modules) for these vehicles leaving owners without any way to fix or use their cars. Abs module dtc's: -c2200 -u0100 -u0141 -u0126 -u0002 while scanning the module comes and goes offline.

5 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 02/12/2026

Pulled into parking space. Applied brakes and came to a complete stop. Could hear engine revving up. . Thought ok, that gas pedal seem to be pressed. Look at my foot wasn’t pressing the pedal. Looked at floor mats. It was laying flat on floor, not manipulating the pedal. I thought what’s happening? and lifted foot off brake ever so slightly and car jumped 6 inch high curb and hit the building. . Pretty hard. Caused structural damage to the wall. I went to the hospital, driven by husband. Swelling of my right leg on the shin. Released and told to stay off leg for few days, no fractures. After doing research, it seems other Jeep riders have had this experience. I have no idea how fast the Jeep was going.

6 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 02/08/2026

Abs module has gone bad. Has an internal communication error. This is typical on these vehicles. The problem is getting a part from Chrysler. The modules have been on back order for years and there’s no sign of getting a fix. The vehicle is unsafe to drive but we are left with no choice but to continue to drive it. Why hasn’t anything been done to kick them in gear and get replacement parts made?.

7 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 02/01/2026

The abs control module has failed. Anti-lock brake and stability management systems, in addition to vehicle descent control are malfunctioning. This renders the vehicle extremely unstable and difficult to drive. Stellantis is aware of the problem and reports no replacement parts are available and has not issued a recall. The vehicle has low milage and has never been in an accident.

8 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 01/22/2026

Abs module part# 68259556ac has failed. (replacement part is 68259556ad) stellantis/Jeep has not provided a replacement part for over three years. This affects all Jeep Wranglers 2014-2018. We have no abs and no traction control in our Jeeps. We need help.

9 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2025

Abs module faulty with none available to have fixed under warranty. I was told to drive it anyway.

10 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 11/30/2025

I have a faulty abs module, throwing code c2200. The part has been on order for over 2 months with no end in site. We are being told told that this is not a safety issue. How can we get this resolved???.

11 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 11/29/2025

I have been waiting on a replacement abs module for months , was told I could continue to drive the Jeep by a Jeep dealership, the part is on back order and no plans to put in productions; my shop can see that there is ove500 people waiting on this part that effects the operation of the safety features designed on 11/29 my Jeep would stopped abruptly in traffic and would not go forward or reverse just stuck - lucky I was not hit in the rear or causing a major accident, after turning on /off I was able to go 100 yards to get it out of traffic, and needed a tow . Sitting at dealership - Jeep payment , no Jeep and no answers - along with many other people driving Jeeps on the road today . -this may of caused other issues to my Jeep as well.

12 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 11/04/2025

Abs system fails periodically causing the Jeep to go into limp mode driving in traffic.

13 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 11/01/2025

Abs module started to fail about a year ago but was only recently identified (within the last two weeks). Abs module listed for back order with more than 500 orders ahead of mine within Jeep dealership system. Order placed outside of dealership via mopar website but listed as shipping next month (16-28 December).

14 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 10/11/2025

Our abs control module is firing out an internal error code. Mopar has the unit on back order. It has been on back order for more than a year. To get a used one costs 5 times more than a new one. This is a huge problem for people when it comes to safe driving.

15 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 10/09/2025

The abs module has failed causing the stabiltrak , brake light , and abs lights to come on the dash. We took it to the dealer and evidently this is a common issue with the Jeep Wranglers and Dodge rams. . So much that the part is back ordered and there is no eta. Some people have been waiting over a year. They say it’s under engineering review. Anyway my wife was driving the other day and someone had pulled out in front of her and she hit the brakes real hard and it made a weird noise and the brakes locked up. Almost causing her to swerve and lose control. I have the service report that says abs module and backed ordered with no eta. . I have heard other peoples Jeeps just going over to broke mode and can only drive 30 mph. It’s crazy? what are we the consumer supposed to do. Can’t afford to trade it in for another vehicle. But need a vehicle for work or keep driving it and hope brakes or something else doesn’t fail when you need it… thank you.

16 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 10/06/2025

I own a 2016 Jeep Wrangler with a malfunctioning anti-lock braking system (abs). The abs is not functioning, creating a serious safety risk, particularly during emergency braking and adverse road conditions. The vehicle has been under an active repair order with town & country Jeep Chrysler Dodge ram since October, but the required part remains on indefinite backorder with no estimated time of arrival. I have escalated this issue to stellantis customer care and have ongoing email correspondence documenting the delay and lack of resolution. Despite these efforts, the vehicle remains unrepaired, forcing me to either drive with a known safety defect or go without transportation. This situation represents a failure to repair a critical safety system within a reasonable timeframe. I am submitting this complaint due to the ongoing safety risk and lack of timely resolution.

17 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 09/13/2025

My abs control module has failed. The Jeep has been in the shop now for 75 days with no mopar part delivery known as of 11/28/25. I have had 4 abs wheel sensors go bad and not the module is bad. The vehicle surges, will not accelerate, etc.

18 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 09/02/2025

My 2016 Jeep Wrangler is displaying warning lights (brake, abs, traction control) on the dashboard. I took it to my Jeep dealership where they diagnosed the issue as an inoperative abs module part number 68259556ad. They placed it on order but it was back ordered with no available delivery date. My Jeep is now not able to be driven.

19 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 08/19/2025

The abs module has gone out with replacement parts on backorder and not being manufactured for a lengthy time. This is caused my Jeep to go into limp mode since August 2025. There has not been a resolution to solve this problem at this time. Even to have it refurbished or rebuilt has not been an option due to most companies no longer working on this part.

20 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 08/01/2025

Jeep Wrangler unlimited abs, brake, & traction control warning lights all came on at once while driving. Once Jeep stopped vehicle went into limp mode limiting power and mph to less than 30 mph. Which is a huge safety problem when all the roads to and from out house are 45 mph. Abs module is bad per the dealer. Vehicle is vor in the system, and undriveable. No estimate when a new part will arrive.

21 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 08/01/2025

Abs module has been on backorder since 2021. Cannot get an eta on part from the dealership. They advised its been on backorder 3 yrs at the time issue was confirmed. 9 months to date on backorder list. No traction control, abs, cruise control and emergency brake. The vehicle has lost speed making it not maintain a speed on hills, and highway. Vehicle feels unstable.

22 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 07/31/2025

My abs module has been in error for 8 months. Stellantis still cannot fill the order after 8 months and only keeps delaying on weeks at a time .

23 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 07/15/2025

Abs (anti-lock braking system) control module failed nine months ago. Without working abs control module the braking system and traction control system do not function which is a huge safety concern. New abs control modules have been out of stock at all Jeep dealers across the country! thousands of Jeep wrangjer owners are waiting for new abs control modules and until Chrysler corporation provides new modules all owners are enduring big safety risks driving their Jeeps! need immediate help from the NHTSA forcing Chrysler to immediately provide new abs control modules. A safety recall needs to be issued immediately for failed abs control modules for many thousands of Jeep Wranglers thank you for whatever help the NHTSA can provide to resolve this big safety issue.

24 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 07/01/2025

The abs module has gone bad at less then 70,000 miles the dealership confirmed this. There are lights advising of the abs and traction control light on and I no longer have anti lock breaks or traction control.

25 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 07/01/2025

The abs module has failed and this is such a widespread issue with Jeep Wranglers that you can't even find a new abs module part to order. The failure of this part impacts the braking system. Jeep should make a recall and fix this issue.

26 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 06/30/2025

The anti lock brake module is not signaling correctly, causing the car to lose power for a second every few minutes, braking is more difficult, and there is no traction on slippery surfaces. The cruise control also is not working, and the brake, abs and traction warning lights flash every few minutes while operating. It was in the shop for a month waiting on the new module, and it is back ordered with no estimated date for shipping. My vehicle is under warranty and I’m not able to go outside the terms to get it fixed, and mopar is not making any effort to provide a solution. The dealership even said they had another that had been sitting in their shop for over a year with the same problem. The car is drivable but only until the system goes completely, which will be when it goes into emergency limp mode at a random time while driving, so driving it means taking on that risk.

27 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 06/15/2025

Left front brake caliper not releasing. Replaced caliper and brake pads, problem still exist. After some research found that there has been an issue with brake line. Apparently the mounting bracket on the line has in some cases pinched the line restricting fluid flow causing brake to not release fully. Have seen multiple instances of this problem on line. Curious why Jeep has not addressed this issue? am currently waiting for new brake line to replace existing one to attempt to correct the problem. For reference I am a certified mechanic and this is my personal vehicle which is why I am preforming the repair myself.

28 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 06/06/2025

Brake failure referenced in case # 11667897. See attached photos for reference to affected areas.

29 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 06/02/2025

Abs control module failure. The part is discontinued and no longer available. This makes my vehicle unsafe to drive for myself and others on the road. Thus, being unsafe to drive makes he vehicle useless!.

30 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2025

The abs control module has failed (part number 68259556ad). I have discovered it has been unavailable from Chrysler/Jeep for over 2 years. I read where this is a dispute between Chrysler/Jeep and their supplier of the part. I feel it dangerous not to have my abs system, and it seems the manufacturer is doing nothing to make the part available. This needs to change.

31 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 05/28/2025

Abs control module malfunction. Replacement part not available from dealership or 3rd party supplier, with item on continuous backorder. Abs and traction control lights permanently on whilst engine running. Potential safety concern across model nationwide?.

32 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 05/19/2025

Abs module is failing (confirmed by repair shop) and needs replacement, and abs light had illuminated. After finding out the Dodge/Jeep has discontinued manufacture of this part that is in every 2012-2020 Wrangler, this poses a very serious safety concern as no replacement part is available. Possibility of purchasing a used one that ultimately will have the same result as the original one that was in the vehicle. A recall needs to be made before this becomes a major issue.

33 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 04/10/2025

Brakes are sticking causing extreme heat and damage to pads, rotors and calipers and I'm afraid there is a fire hazard as well. The brake also occasionally engage during acceleration at around 45 mph and cause a severe wobble that could also be a safety issue as the vehicle becomes hard to control. Dealership claimed the problem was a single brake line that was replaced, but the problem is still occurring and now they claim it is a second brake line but my mechanic assures me it is a faulty abs module and the online reports indicate this is a real problem with Jeep Wranglers.

34 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 04/02/2025

Abs module needs replacement. Impossible to find one in stock. Dealership claims it’s on back order for a year.

35 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 04/01/2025

Abs control module cannot get the part so I would think this would be a safety issue because abs is not working. I know alot of other people who have a Jeep have the same proplem my part has been on back order for 4 months now. So I'm concerned about not having abs thank you.
