3 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 04/25/2026

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? after diagnostics of multiple 'no communication' codes, it was determined that the can buss star connector was faulty. The part has been replaced, but is available for inspection. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? the malfunction caused repeated warning lights and loss of steering at unpredictable times. Luckily I was always able to put on my hazard lights and get out of the path of traffic. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? yes has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? no were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? yes, a variety of warning lamps and messages over a period of 10-12 days, which would disappear after restarting the vehicle (restarting was necessary to get the steering working again). Messages such as traction control, auto on/off, and check engine light were a few different ones. They came and went so quickly it was hard to catch them all while I was focused on getting safely off the road.

I was driving my 2019 Jeep Wrangler unlimited sahara 2. 0t/at to the gym with my spouse. No check engine light, Jeep temps were perfect. All gauges operated as it should, so there was no sign of trouble. The vehicle was off. We parked and walked into the gym and then into the 1 set of exercises, someone yelled in the gym that someone's truck was on fire. We ran outside and lo and behold it was our Jeep. The engine compartment was totally destroyed. Please look at the pictures for reference.

Safety concern – instrument cluster failure consistent with NHTSA recall 24v-652 dear sir or madam: regarding our 2019 Jeep Wrangler VIN# milage of 74602. 9 on 3-22-26 we are writing to report a safety-related defect involving a 2019 Jeep vehicle exhibiting instrument cluster malfunction consistent with conditions described in NHTSA recall no. 24v-652 (fca us llc). Although this vehicle is not currently included within the recall’s identified VIN population, it is exhibiting substantially similar symptoms, including: intermittent loss of speedometer function tachometer irregularities intermittent or complete failure of the instrument cluster display recall 24v-652 identifies a defect in the instrument panel cluster (ipc) which may result in loss of critical driver information. As recognized by the national highway traffic safety administration, such failures may increase the risk of a crash due to the driver’s inability to accurately monitor vehicle speed and operating conditions. Given the similarity between the observed condition and the defect described in the recall, this raises a concern that the issue may extend beyond the currently defined VIN range. Accordingly, we request: a formal review of this vehicle for potential inclusion within recall 24v-652 or any related service campaign; and appropriate corrective action consistent with applicable safety and warranty obligations. We will also be submitting this matter to the national highway traffic safety administration (NHTSA) for further review. Please advise regarding next steps. Nothing in this correspondence shall be construed as a waiver of any rights or remedies, all of which are expressly reserved. Sincerely,.

7 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 03/14/2026

Instrument panel cluster dashboard failure, found a massive recall online for Wranglers 2018-2024 for this issue, called dealer who informed us our VIN was not under this recall, but we have a wranger 2019 with the same issue so should definitely qualify. Called Jeep who informed us our VIN was not under this recall and they won’t do anything about it. This issue is deemed a safety hazzard per recall, and we do qualify but they say our VIN specifically does not. This has to be illegal as well as unsafe. Unable to see mileage, gas, safety alerts, etc. Because of outage.

8 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 02/19/2026

My gauge cluster is having a problem and I dont know why my Jeep is covered under the recall when its the same part in every other Jeep that is having the same problem? I would really like to know how used can pick one Jeep model and not the others? when all the same parts are in the Jeeps.

9 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 02/01/2026

10 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 12/27/2025

Concern: suspension, steering, and electrical system malfunction description of the problem: while driving at highway speeds (approximately 75 mph), the vehicle experiences a wiggling or unstable sensation in the suspension, making the car feel unsafe. At the same time, the steering wheel becomes stiff and difficult to turn. Additionally, a warning message appears stating “service shifter. ” when this occurs, the electrical system freezes, affecting vehicle functions. This electrical malfunction lasts for 1 to 2 days, during which systems do not respond properly before eventually resetting on their own. Safety concern: the suspension instability, loss of steering responsiveness, and electrical failure at high speeds present a serious safety risk to the driver and others on the road. Request: requesting a full inspection of the suspension, steering system, shifter system, and electrical components, including any sensors or modules that may be causing these failures.

The instrument cluster has stop functioning and you can't see milage, gas or any of the warning lights within the cluster panel. I was not in an accident but wanted to report the problem of the cluster since my Jeep was not included in the recall. I have an estimate of 1,600. For a repair from Jeep mechanic. I feel that it should have been included in the recall.

15 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 10/15/2025

17 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 08/20/2025

Alternator stopped working no warning no lights nothing just stopped.

18 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 08/17/2025

I drove over a rough patch/bump in the road. A ton of warning messages and failure lights activated on the dash. In addition to the check engine light, there were warnings for electronic stability protection, sway bar disconnect, abs failure, power steering failure, shift lever malfunction. In addition to these malfunctions a failures, the windshield wipers turned on un-commanded and the radiator fan went into the highest possible speed, the digital engine temperature gauge failed, and both the digital and analog speedometers failed. This happened on a arterial road, losing power steering and braking at ~30mph unexpectedly was a shock, but manageable. At highway speeds it likely would have led to an accident or collision. Unfortunately, I don't have any documentation of the failure lights and systems failing, but it had happened several times prior to this occurrence, albeit only with dash warning lights, no actual system failures. After the system failures, I stopped driving the vehicle. The problem appears to be somewhat widespread and is caused by a failing can-c bus. A quick google search will reveal numerous descriptions on the same dangerous issue. This thread seems to clearly expiain the root of the issue with the can-c bus: [xxx] I replaced my old can-c bus (p/n 68321746aa) with a new part and it appears to have resolved the issue. I have saved the old can-c bus for inspection if NHTSA is interested. It looks exactly like the failed bus in the linked reddit thread above. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

19 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 07/18/2025

The instrument panel cluster that shows the speed, odometer, and fuel levels has been sporadically 'going out' while driving. On Friday 7/18, it went out completely and did not come back on. This affects safety of driving in that I have no idea how fast I'm driving or fuel levels. I have to rely on iphone capabilities for speed, which is not as accurate. The problem has been inspected by a mechanic and he indicated that the instrument panel cluster would need to be replaced at a cost of close to $2,000. He indicated that there was a recall on 2018-2024 Jeep Wrangler models involving a safety issue with the ipc and that it may experience a short circuit and fail, potentially causing the display to go blank and hindering the driver's ability to see critical information like speed and warning lights. Recall# 24v652000 indicated this failure could increase the risk of a crash. Per the mechanic recall info was sent October 2024 yet I did not receive anything. Per the site my VIN# is not included in this recall. I believe this is the exact issue that other vehicles were called and this particular vehicle should be included in this ipc recall.

21 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 07/07/2025

I have had the recall completed but now my car to give a “service transmission “ message and that there is a problem with my clutch getting hot. There is no burning smells. Are no issues such as rough gear changes or engine issues. It states the clutch is overheating and I’ve barely left the driveway. And this is after sitting still overnight didn’t the recall fix this issue? it’s terrifying as it comes up stating that the transmission needs to be service then all information as to what gear you are in disappears while you are driving. This isn’t a recall fix it’s a nightmare. It wasn’t having a problem before but now it warning messages act like it’s going to burn up. There is no burning smells no rough gear changes. Afraid to drive it.

22 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 06/16/2025

Shortly after starting the vehicle and entering roadway, the power steering failed and shortly following an error came on regarding the abs system. I was able to pull the vehicle over safely, restart and the issue seemed resolved in that use. Next day, shortly after starting vehicle, same errors occurred, but self corrected. The day after that, shortly after starting the vehicle, all systems on the front panel cycled through several error codes, when attempting to shut the vehicle off to restart it, the vehicle would not shut off. Using the standard transmission, I was able to create a stall situation, but the vehicle's electrical would not shut off. After removing the key fab, the electrical system kept activating power systems, even turning on the windshield wipers when the control was in the off position. After 20 minutes and several attempts I was finally able to get the system to completely shut off.

23 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 06/11/2025

I was driving my 2019 Jeep Wrangler to work and my Jeep started throwing all the things on the dash, start/stop lost communication, abs system lost communication, plus several other issues and I went into limp mode. I had it towed to the dealership to find out what was wrong and they told me it was the abs module. That was on Wednesday June 11th, 2025. It was 3 weeks before they got the part. When they went to program the abs module, it froze up and they had to order another one that took a week to get in. They replaced it again and told me, it was fixed. I picked it up on Wednesday, July 8th, around 5:00 pm and on that Friday, July 11th, at noon my check engine light came on again. I’m taking it in tomorrow to see what it is this time. So far it’s just the check engine light and I’m praying it don’t quit on me getting it there. There should definately be a recall on the abs module. I’ll be writing another update after I see what’s going on tomorrow.

24 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 06/07/2025

Like everyone elses Jeep while driving, all the warning signals, bells, whistles start going off. Lose power steering, lose power, put Jeep in park, cannot get it to go back in drive. Soemtimes will not start just look it up on tictok.

25 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 06/06/2025

While driving I received random warnings on the dashboard: airbag failure, power steering failure, shift control failure, abs failure. After the flashing of all those warning, I lost the power steering and the ability to shift from drive to neutral. My inability to steer the car and loss of speed put my passengers and myself at risk and the safety of cars driving on the opposite lane at risk as I was able only to make very wide turns. I took the car to the dealer and after about two weeks the mechanic narrowed down the problem to a failure of the abs module and told me that that part is on backorder nation wide and may take over 3 months to come. I was advised to not drive the car or to drive at my own risk.

26 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2025

The internal cluster went out all of a sudden. Stenallis has no part for us to repair it with. We have been without the car and no loaner for almost 4 months. There is a recall on this part on this model in this year. However, stenallis won't recall my particular car which is currently affected. The recall should expand because it is on more models than they admit.

27 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 05/13/2025

28 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 05/12/2025

My steering wheel will lock up while driving, my windshield wipers start going off, spedometer goes to zero and won't work, the gas light goes to completely empty and won't move, when I push on the gas it won't go, my engine light goes off and starts saying service module and lists several different things. When I put it in park it won't shift into gear so I can drive it. I have to turn it off and back on several times until it will finally let it go into gear. I have tried to get it fixed and they said the abc module needs to be replaced but it's been on national back order for over a year and can't find one available. I'm trying to find even a refurbished one and have not been able to.

29 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 05/12/2025

Dash panel started flashing all gauges went to zero. All warning lamps lit abs failure, power steering stopped, service antilock breaks, service electronic stability control, auto park disabled and service shift warnings started popping up. 33 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 04/23/2025

Instrument panel cluster failure: my instrument cluster failure has been an unrepairable issue for my 2019 Jeep Wrangler sahara which I purchased from marysville Jeep in marysville, washington back in 2021 or 2022. It's been well over at least a year that I have been forced to drive this vehicle where I am unable to know my fuel level, mileage, or speed. I have had my Jeep at the west hills autoplex, Chrysler/Jeep dealership, auto center way, bremerton, washington, twice for this very same instrument panel cluster failure, and to date, it remains unrepaired. My vehicle is at the same dealership now as we speak and has been there since 23 April 2025. I have not had the use of my Jeep for the duration of this time. The time before that, they had my Jeep for about 2 weeks and did not repair the instrument cluster. My associate at the dealership name is colin. He's constantly informing me that they ordered the cluster but they have not received it because my vehicle was made in canada. I also saw online that a recall has been issued for certain 2018-2024 Jeep Wrangler vehicles, including the sahara, due to potential instrument panel cluster failure. The recall number is 30b. I looked for this recall using my VIN on the NHTSA website, but it showed no recalls for my particular vehicle. However, I have this exact same problem with my sahara. Colin informed me on 5 June 2025 that he has exhausted his last avenue to figure out why my Jeep still has a failed instrument panel that has not been repaired/replaced since 23 April 2025 and to basically come pick up my Jeep or call someone else to help remedy this issue. Colin's phone number is (360)429-0384. He also gave me numerous dates that the new cluster was to arrive at the dealership, but to no avail. Also, in between the two times at the dealership, I took it to a repair shop who tried to order the cluster but could not get it, because the dealership is the only entity that can order the cluster. Thank you!.

34 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 03/19/2025

The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the message "service shifter" was displayed and several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that upon turning off and restarting the vehicle, only the check engine warning light remained illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated while driving on a back road at 25 mph, the windshield wipers engaged independently, and the power steering became inoperable. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact immediately pulled over, and the vehicle was towed to a local independent mechanic, where the failure could not be duplicated. The local dealer was contacted but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact was advised that the VIN was not included in a recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 66,201.

35 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 03/08/2025

The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that upon picking up the vehicle from the dealer after a battery replacement, the instrument panel was blank. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer to be diagnosed and the contact was informed that the instrument panel was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign number: 24v652000 (electrical system) as a possible cause for the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 115,000.
