Instrument panel cluster went blank. Driver has no access to safety information, vehicle instruments or warning notifications. Dealership visualized blank screen and agreed. Vehicle falls into same recall category of NHTSA 24v-652, but fca states this VIN has not specifically been recalled. No symptoms prior to blank screen, but unidentified warning noise has activated multiple times with driver unable to identify what warning is being alerted. Dealership states no codes of engine malfunction are present.
My 2020 Jeep Wrangler just had its center instrument cluster go dark. This seems to be a known issue, and I believe there is a recall for 2024 models. The recall needs to be expanded as far back as the issue is being reported. This is dangerous situation with not being able to see the gas gauge, milage and additional critical information. To make matters even more unmanageable because the Jeep needs to have the exact mileage known before replacing the instrument cluster the recommendation is to drop your car off at the dealer and not drive it until the part is replaced. Because this is such a large issue the current lead-time is 5 months to get a replacement part in. No one should be expected to leave their Jeep at a dealership for 5 months. Our Jeep dealer actually recommended getting an after-market replacement. I am reporting this to add my voice to many others who have experienced this same issue. I am also sure this is probably way under reported. Anything you can do to extend this recall back to at least 2020 would be greatly appreciated.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the center display turned blank. The contact stated that the vehicle had displayed the symptoms of NHTSA campaign number: 24v652000 (electrical system). The local dealer was contacted and confirmed that the VIN was not included in the recall. Additionally, the contact was informed that there would be a charge for a diagnostic test. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
While driving car, instrument cluster went blank. It does not display important vehicle information like speed.
Center dashboard experienced an instrument cluster failure causing the center dashboard information to go completely blank so that the mileage, amount of gas, speed, warning lights, etc. Are all no longer visible. There appears to have been a recall for a similar issue for Jeep Wrangler years 2018-2024 but I have been told my VIN is not part of that recall even though it appears to be the same cluster failure issue.
Driver side dashboard experienced an instrument cluster failure causing the center dashboard information to go completely blank so that the mileage, amount of gas, speed, warning lights, etc. Are all no longer visible. There appears to have been a recall for a similar issue for Jeep Wrangler years 2018-2024 but I have been told my VIN is not part of that recall even though it appears to be the same cluster failure issue.
Instrumentation cluster suddenly failed while I was driving. This put the safety of all individuals at risk because I was not able to view any critical information like warning lights, speedometer or fuel status.
Instrument panel cluster failure. Black screen. Can’t see mph, gas, mileage or any engine functionality. Consistent with NHTSA safety recall. My VIN is not in the recall despite being a 2020 Jeep Wrangler that is listed in the safety recall. Stellantis won’t cover repair and Jeep dealer in marshfield won’t cover. Potential 6 month fix with no replacement vehicle offered because part hasn’t been in stock.
Instrument cluster first started to appear as if it had a glitch by the colors being slightly different then as the months progressed the dash cluster would slowly start to fade in and out, turning off and on, until one day when driving it just turned completely off and has not came on since, sometimes when I turn the car on it will want to turn back on but will fade back into a brightly lit screen with no apparent function appearing on the screen. Available to be inspected upon request problem has been identified by local Jeep dealer. I am stationed in belgium there were no warning lamps or messages or anything to indicate a system failure. My safety was put at risk as the dash cluster is what helps me monitor my speed, heat temperature on my engine, gas levels as well as any other maintenance issues or messages my car may have.
My center dash cluster shorted out and went black and no longer shows speed, fuel and warning lights. Known recall for center dash cluster, but not my VIN. Dealership has diagnosed the problem and repairing at my expense.
I have the same malfunction as described in new safety recall advanced communication – 30b released on 9/5/2024, but my VIN is not included. The malfunction relates to the instrument panel cluster (ipc) that becomes blank. As noted in 30b: "[a]n ipc that is not visible to the driver may result in the driver's attention being diverted from the driving task while trying to locate a desired display, which can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning. The condition described above does not comply with federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) no. 571. 101, controls and displays s5. 3 requires vehicles to "illuminate telltales and their identification sufficiently to make them visible to the driver under daylight and nighttime driving conditions. " the ipc in the suspect vehicles may not illuminate the required telltales. " can you please add my Jeep VIN to the recall list?.
Electric computer control system keep malfunctioning and disconnecting. Third occurrence in a month. Currently at my mechanics.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed and determined that the instrument panel needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact believed that the failure was related to NHTSA campaign number: 24v652000 (electrical system); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 48,000.
Instrument panel went completely out. Can not tell how much gas is in the Jeep, how many miles it has, can’t see any digital details on the instrument panel. Completely black.
Digital gauge cluster goes completely blank. Will come back on intermittently and then goes blank again for extended periods of time.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the instrument panel became dark. The failure had occurred on several occasions. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed; however, the cause of the failure was unknown. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure reoccurred and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer and was diagnosed and determined that the instrument panel needed to be replaced. The dealer stated that there was no recall associated with the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
My instrument cluster panel display has suddenly gone black/blank. This looks to be a known recall issue under recall 24v-652 which includes select 2018–2024 Jeep Wrangler and gladiator vehicles. Mine is a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. Can my vehicle be added to the recall list? I am at safety risk as I cannot see my gas mileage, warning light indicators, electronic throttle control, battery charge warning, engine coolant temperature, airbag warning, brake system alerts, transmission fault lights, etc. I have scheduled a service appointment to have this looked at the dealership where I purchased my Jeep. I would appreciate any financial assistance as it will be an extreme struggle to pay out of pocket for this to be repaired. My safety and my family's safety is at risk. Please help!.
2020 Jeep Wrangler unlimited willys the instrument cluster panel went out. Black screen. A critical safety issue b/c you cannot see the speedometer, warning lights, or anything on the screen. There is a recall (NHTSA#24v-652) however my VIN # is not included in the recall. Brought the Jeep into mechanic who said this should be covered under Jeep recall. To date no certified Jeep dealership will repair under recall b/c they are saying VIN # is not included in the recall.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that the instrument panel had become inoperable. The instrument cluster went out on my 2020 Jeep Wrangler. There is a recall (NHTSA#24v-652) for this issue, however my VIN # is not included in the recall. This is a critical safety issue because the speedometer and warning lights to not work.
I see that there are recalls for the center cluster on the dash for Jeeps like mine from 2018 through 2022 or 2024 but mine has is not included in that recall however mine is now out according to our mechanic I have a black screen cannot see if I have gas or if my vehicle is overheating, cannot see any of the warning signals. Please advise why my Jeep is not included in that recall. Mine is a 2020 Jeep Wrangler unlimited.
Unknown the display panel on the instrument cluster has went out. There was an open recall for newer models (2022-2024), but my vehicle's year (2020) was not included. After going through multiple forums, and speaking with many dealerships, this has been an on-going issue with multiple Jeep owners.
The instrument cluster has went completely out. There is a currently open recall for 2018 - 2024 Jeep Wranglers (recall #24v-652), but my VIN is not included. According to fmvss no. 571. 101 (controls and displays), you are required to remedy this situation as it is now a safety and hazard for the driver.
The dashboard in the affected vehicles may suddenly go blank, leaving the driver without vital information, such as speed and turn signals’ status. The driver will not be able to get the cluster working after failure. There is a recall on this (and my Jeep model and year is within the criteria but my Jeep is not in the recall. New recall NHTSA 24v-652: instrument panel cluster ipc . . .
The instrument dash panel went blank while driving.
My display cluster went blank all of a sudden while on a trip with no prior notice and I was unable to see any safety information for my vehicle, how much gas I have left, odometer readings or other important information which are needed to safely drive. I ran out of gas and was unable to get to the side of the road and all most got into an accident. There is a current safety recall for this problem (NHTSA id number: 24v652000 instrument panel failure/fmvss 101) for the Jeep Wrangler2018-2024 issued on September 5, 2024 for the same problem I am experiencing with my vehicle the problem is for some reason my VIN number is not being included in the recall even though the vehicle year model & problem matches the recall and the dealership/manufacturer are not honoring the repair needed.
The instrument cluster panel has completely failed. The vehicle currently does not have odometer, tachometer, speedometer, fuel gauge, and other vital engine metrics displayed. Stellantis issued a recall due to poor design of the failed component for a small subset of affected vehicles, but does not include the majority of the vehicle population. Furthermore, the failed component is currently on a national shortage, making it impossible to repair. This is a major safety concern and needs to be investigated.
My front dash was not registering, so I cannot see my speed, gas tank, and all other info on it. When I took it to a mechanic, he had to replace the agm auxiliary battery. It went from the normal square battery to the size and shape of balloon, causing a dangerous situation. The mechanic sent us to the dealership to finish the work as it should be covered under the recall. He also advised us not to drive it on our roadtrip as the instrument panel cluster needs to be fixed and could cause fires as it’s under recall: recall NHTSA #24v-652. We need to get it fixed, but the dealership declined saying my Jeep Wrangler 2020’s VIN number doesn’t show the recall. So, now we are trying to get that recall established for this VIN number as it’s having the same issues as those recalled. Now, we are trying to get the recall number to apply to my VIN so we can get the repair done. Frustrating to do a goose chase when a vehicle is having the same issue as those with the recall.
The instrument panel cluster stopped working suddenly. It is a 2020 Jeep Wrangler with 72k miles. I know there is a recall NHTSA recall #24v652000 for some Jeep Wranglers 2018 - 2024 for the same issue. Mine needs to be included. I cannot tell how much gas I have, what speed I am going, or warning lamp information. There were no symptoms - it just stopped working while I was driving. The vehicle has been inspected by two vehicle repair/inspection stations and it is not a fuse or the alternator / battery. Therefore - it is the instrument panel cluster (ipc).
Rear camera not working all black out.
Can bus failure. Loss of power steering along with multiple lights and codes being shown. Intermittent. Sometimes runs and drives. Random loss of speedometer and other components.
I was pulling into work when my dash lit up with all warning lights, I was unable to shut my vehicle off. I had to disconnect the battery to do so. After a couple hours of being disconnected, it operated normal. Few hours later, went to leave a store and it lit up again, this time my steering was nonfunctional. The common issue was the can buss connector. For several years this has been an issue, apparently a TSB was placed but I am unable to find it. This should be a national recall. This part controls literally every electrical component of this vehicle. It's I intermittent and unknown to when it will malfunction. This creates a huge hazard to driving as when it does malfunction, you're unable to steer, your vehicle can shut off, it's not safe at all. Then come to find that the part isn't even covered as a replacement on the TSB. There is no reason this part should not be recalled, how does a small plastic block become defective other than poor craftsmanship? when the vehicle can't communicate to the other parts (engine, transmission, steering, fuel system, etc) that is a huge problem and is not worth the risk of death because someone can no longer drive or steer when going 65 mph.
Ip cluster failure, currently at dealership for repair. No warning lights, dash just went dark while driving.
I woke up one morning about 2 months ago, and the dash cluster was not working and has not worked since. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? my safety and the safety of others are put at risk because I am unable to see critical information while driving, such as my speed, fuel level, and any potential engine warning lights. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? yes, the problem was confirmed by two different independent mechanics, both of whom stated that I need a new cluster. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? no, the vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or any other party besides the two mechanics. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? no, there were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms before the cluster failed. The failure occurred suddenly.
The vehicle will randomly show service shifter then it will loose power steering, gears won’t change. It happened while driving on a winding road. Scary. The instrument cluster will show random erratic readings like mileage will be off. Temperature goes to zero fuel gauge misread vehicle get stuck into a higher gear and won’t downshift doing research online I found a recall bulletin for 24v652000 and in that bulletin, it describes what my vehicle does, but my vehicle is not considered part of the recall bulletin. This vehicle is dangerous to drive on the road with the situation that can happen at any time.
