My Jeep Wrangler 4xe has now been subject to multiple high-voltage battery fire-risk recalls, including the current recall that instructs owners to park outside due to a potential battery fire. This is the third recall involving the same system. The vehicle is unsafe, and Jeep/stellantis has no permanent remedy available. I have been unable to use the vehicle safely for extended periods, and I have been given conflicting information by the dealership and manufacturer about the timeline for a fix. This creates a significant fire hazard to my property and family. Because of the repeated nature of the defect, Jeep is refusing to provide a timely resolution or a vehicle replacement/lease termination. I am requesting NHTSA intervention due – multiple recalls for the same battery fire risk – lack of an available repair or remedy – manufacturer failing to provide safe use of the vehicle – ongoing safety danger that forces me to park the vehicle away from structures this is a serious safety defect involving the high-voltage battery pack that could result in a vehicle fire while parked or driving. I am requesting NHTSA investigate this issue and compel the manufacturer to provide a safe and immediate resolution for affected Wrangler 4xe owners. Symptoms observed: – vehicle subject to multiple “park outside” fire-related recalls – battery-related warnings – loss of use of the vehicle – safety risk to home/garage due to fire potential – no fix or parts available – ongoing manufacturer delays what I am requesting: – NHTSA review of repeated 4xe battery recalls – enforcement of a timely repair or mandatory buyback/lease release – confirmation whether Jeep is compliant with recall remedy obligations.
Electronic cabin heater- ev/ hybrid component that acts as a heating element when driving in electric mode. Common issue since the Chrysler pacifica ehybrid plug in vehicle was manufactured. Safety: extreme temperatures we’ve experienced would prevent heat from dispersing in the engine cabin and potential damage to engine/ ev components due to no thermal regulation. Has been reproduced and replaced. Specific to Jeep Wrangler 4xe (2021+): “electric mode unavailable; cabin heating/cooling” check engine light with dtc codes p0e80-00 and p0e15-00 present on dash. First appeared October 31st, 2025.

My vehicle, a 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is subject to recall 25v-741. This recall involves a serious safety defect with vehicle’s charging system, posing I fire risk when charged. This renders the vehicle unsafe to operate. At this time, there is no available repair remedy. While the official Jeep mopar website states that repairs parts are available but the Jeep dealership states they don't have repairs available for my vehicle. I have called two different dealerships one month apart and still received the same answer. As a result of this recall, I am unable to drive or reasonably use the vehicle. The vehicle is effectively inoperable, and I am incurring ongoing financial harm, including loan payments and loss-of-use expenses, for a vehicle that cannot be safely driven. I purchased the vehicle in good faith, and shortly after purchase learned of the open recall. Stellantis has not provided a repair timeline or alternative resolution. This situation leaves me without safe transportation and no practical remedy.
For second time the Jeep shut down and (stop) in the middle of a higthly trafic street without any warning. I feel risk for my life, my mother and my 9 year old child.

Over the last 45 days, my Jeep has suffered repeated breakdowns that required towing to the Jeep dealership—it is now the fourth tow in this short window for the same issue. On November 10th, I was informed it was a wiring harness issue. On November 17th, they completed the work with the wiring harness and mentioned that now shifter assembly now has internal failure. Respectfully, this situation is unacceptable. Particularly for a critical component that renders the vehicle inoperable and raises significant safety concerns. This issue is especially troubling given that I have young children and rely on this vehicle for our daily transportation, and has stopped me in the middle of the road multiple times. Timeline: October 7th, 2025: service electronic stability control signal - vehicle disabled on road; towed to my home October 8th, 2025: second service electronic stability control signal- vehicle is again inoperable - towed to Jeep dealer October 9th, 2025: third service electronic stability control signal pops up and disappears. October 15th, 2025: fourth service electronic stability control signal - vehicle is again inoperable - towed to Jeep dealership November 8th, 2025: fifth service electronic stability control signal - vehicle picked up by Jeep dealership November 17th 2025: notified by the service advisor that service shifter came on after completing work with the wiring harness. This is a huge safety concern that needs immediate investigation, and the manufacture needs to be help liable for these rescue ring issues.
Car shut down on 8/25/25 and would not start. Indicated problem with charging system. Vehicle is currently in cabo san lucas, bcs, mexico. Towed car to local Jeep dealer. Car had outstanding recall (zb7 2021-2023 jl 4xe loss of motive power). Dealer diagnosed issues as a failure of the battery, so that was replaced, along with software updates to address the recalls. We had to pay over $900 out of pocket for these repairs, and it stayed with the dealer for 3. 5 weeks. Two days later the vehicle is again failing with the same issues and will not start. It began with the check engine light coming on, then a/c stopped cooling, then the car only would stay in hybrid mode, and the transmission was revving. After stopping the car and shutting it off it will not restart.
While driving to an appointment on 11 August 2025 the yellow cel light came on and the Jeep Wrangler 4xe stopped operating in hybrid mode. A few miles later the Jeep went into limp mode with a red turtle, red wrench, and red battery light. Pulled into the left center turn lane to allow faster traffic to pass and then made a left turn off of a busy 4-lane highway. I then proceeded down the hill and at the next traffic light I was turning right when the Jeep stopped and the gas engine completely shut down and the Jeep stopped moving halfway through the intersection. Putting the vehicle in park, I attempted to restart the vehicle while it sat in the middle of the intersection but it wouldn’t restart. I then turned on my flashers and exited the vehicle so I could call a tow truck. After the vehicle was towed to the nearest Jeep dealership I learned two days later that the hybrid battery pack had failed and it needed to be replaced. As of 18 September and the vehicle is still at the dealership awaiting authorization from the Jeep engineering team so the technician at the dealership can order a special part!.

The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the hv battery had failed and needed to be replaced. The contact was informed that the part was on back order. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 34,000. Parts distribution disconnect.
My Jeep Wrangler has an internal short in the instrument cluster. Recall campaign # 24v652000, diagnosed by beck Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge in palatka, FL. The Jeep instrument panel quit functioning completely on Monday [xxx] around [xxx] a. M with no prior warnings, warning lights or related failures. However, my VIN # is not showing up in the recall, but has the same reported failure as the recall notice. The Jeep dealership confirmed the instrument panel internal short on the same day as the failure, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
The vehicle experienced multiple serious fuel system failures, including a failed fuel injector and high-pressure fuel pump. After these components were replaced, it was confirmed that fuel was still entering the engine crankcase. At no point did the vehicle trigger a “check engine” light, oil dilution warning, low oil pressure alert, or any hybrid/electric powertrain. This represents a critical safety & reliability issue. Fuel dilution of engine oil can: severely degrade lubrication, increase crankcase pressure, and/or lead to internal engine failure or fire the lack of any warning or diagnostic code suggests either: a software calibration issue in the ecm/bcm that failed to detect the problem, a sensor failure, and/or a defect in the onboard diagnostic system itself. This could indicate a broader defect affecting the safety of the 4xe platform and request investigation. This failure delayed necessary service and put both vehicle and occupants at risk.
See attached document for complaint. Excerpt from attachment: I received a letter from the fca fiat Chrysler automobiles an according to the national traffic and motor vehicle safety act that letter stated: "fca us llc had decided that certain 2022 Jeep Wrangler vehicle equipped with a 3. 5" instrument panel cluster (ipc) failed to conform to federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvs) no. 101-controls and displays" safety recall 30b/NHTSA 24v -652 February 2025 I called the fca recall assistance center at 1-800-853-1403. The agent told me the part was available. So, I made an appointment through them and to brought my Jeep into the san diego Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram san diego, CA, but about an hour later I received a phone call the "mechanics" said that they did not have the part(s) for this issue to be repaired. We went back to retrieve my 2022 Jeep Wrangler sport sand was told that they could keep the car due to needing the latest mileage on my Jeep, before they even could order the parts or whatever to fix it. Note my instrumental panel seem to be working fine. But according to that Jeep "mechanic" it still had to be replaced. I can't afford to leave my Jeep there waiting for some part(s) to be ordered. The mechanics can't say when the parts would be available for the repair to be done. It could be a week, it could be a month, it could be a year, they can't say. But they never told me if they are ordering any parts without keeping my Jeep there gathering dust waiting for something to happen. The "mechanics" aren't going to charge me, that is what they said. But the part about not getting it done in a reasonable time due to not having the parts and wanting me to leave the Jeep there to what? gather dust? service dealer at san diego Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram 777 camino del rio s, san diego, ca92108 my vehicle is a 2022 red 4 door Jeep Wrangler sport s VIN# 1c4hjxdn4nw252482 I paid over 50,000 usd for that 2022 Jeep Wrangler sports s and this issue can't be solves? I would like an answer as to why my Jeep needs to.
The instrument cluster is not working. On March 25 2025 during driving the cluster started to malfunction by turning on and off and then few seconds later it was off. Once the cluster is off there is no visual assessment of how fast the car is moving, any alarms, temperature, fuel gauge, non of the gauges work. Took car to an electrical car repair shop since this is a safety issue and they found that there was a cluster recall on 2022 Wrangler sport Jeeps so no repairs was done to the car. The dealer was called and under the VIN inquiry I was informed that there was no instrument cluster recall. My question is since there is evidence in several www literature of Jeep Wrangler recalls due to instrument cluster why then our instrument cluster not part of a recall.

My 2022 Jeep Wrangler sahara unlimited 4xe vehicle is unsafe, and I fear driving it could cause death or serious bodily injury. The vehicle turns off intermittently and displays "service electrical charging system. " the 4xe recalls 95b/NHTSA 24v-720 and especially, recall zb7/NHTSA 22v-865 have not been properly repaired and completely resolved. This is a serious and potentially dangerous defect. This Jeep Wrangler sahara 4xe unexpectedly turns off while driving, it has turned off on me while driving on the freeway, regular streets and has left me stranded in dangerous predicaments. Starting the vehicle is also unpredictable, sometimes it starts and sometimes it does not. This is especially terrifying when it spontaneously shut off while driving. I no longer can safely operate this vehicle without placing myself, my family and others in peril, and as a result I have had to purchase a new vehicle. Vehicle engine shuts down condition caused by diagnostic reactions to faults caused by loss of communication. Recall zb7/NHTSA 22v-865 is still occurring to my 2022 Jeep Wrangler sahara unlimited 4xe, an engine shut down condition results in an unexpected loss of motive power while driving, which can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning.

On [xxx] my 2022 Jeep Wrangler hybrid was parked in my carport. Around [xxx] I started smelling something burning so got up to check the house and then went to the garage to check our cars. On checking the Jeep I noticed that the inside of the cabin was filling with smoke. I immediately called 911 and as I was on the phone with them the Jeep spontaneously burst into flames on the inside. The fire department arrived shortly after. They began flooding the Jeep with water and had to drag it out of our car port. Once they had it away from the house the continued to flush it with water and also placed a fire retardant blanket over the top of it to contain the fire. It continued to burn for several more hours until a tow truck arrived to take it to a yard. The fire truck had to follow the tow as the car was still smoldering as they loaded it. According to the fire marshals' initial assessment he believed the fire was started from the Jeeps lithium ion battery. * it is believed to be the lithium ion battery. It has a recall and I had the recall scheduled for 1/9/2025 but it caught fire on [xxx]. The Jeep is with progressive my insurance company and could possibly be inspected at request. * luckily we caught it before it was fully engulfed. Jeep did emit noxious fumes while it was on fire and being put out. Our neighbor had to evacuate because of the fumes possibly entering her house. * it has been confirmed by progressive and they have placed Jeep on notice. * it was inspected by the ins CO. They are awaiting on the inspector from Jeep. * there were no warning or indications prior to this happening. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
The engine lost power while driving and was almost t-boned the first time the issue happened. No warning lights were present before the loss of power. I was leaving a stop sign and crossing traffic did not have to stop. The posted speed limit for the cross street is 40 mph. The dealership updated the software, and the Wrangler 4xe was returned the same day. Less than two weeks later, the loss of motive power occurred again. The dealership had the vehicle for almost 40 days and replaced the high-voltage battery pack. About 50 miles after the car was returned, the check engine light came on. I was almost home when this happened and had the 4xe towed for the third time. Texan Jeep claims they had engineers from Jeep look at the vehicle while it was in the shop for an extended period of time. These vehicles are not safe to be on the road! the safety of any other vehicle around a 4xe is at risk. They can shut down and go into limp mode without warning, with or without the recalls being complied with. The only reason I did not have a significant accident was my training as a commercial airline pilot and dealing with simulated emergencies.
My 4xe goes into turtle mode several times a week and loses power as I am driving. I have contact Jeep and 2 dealerships regarding this several times and they said since they can't duplicate it, there is nothing they can do. Has been happening for over a year.
Dec 23 took mine in for recall service. Had no issues prior to having this done. Pick up the same day. Was told passed the drive test. Drove to work Dec 24th (26 miles round trip) no issues. Did not drive on christmas. Placed it to charge that night, for drive to work the 26th. Noticed it did not charge completely. On the way in to work service light came on. Time to leave work, it would not start. Dash had the service charging station. Waited a few minutes. Then it did finally start. Tried to place it in esave. It would not go. Regeneration went off. It drove horrible. Slow acceleration, especially from a complete stop. Got it home and had it towed to a different dealership that had performed the update. Was told a module is bad and they are keeping it until the 30th to check for other issues. They said as a precaution to ensure I was safe on the road. Terrifying experience.
Wife was going to work. Started to notice difference in the feel of the drive. Then the check engine light came on. When she started to accelerate the vehicle jerks. When the vehicle is at a stop then accelerates the it takes about 5 seconds for the car to start moving. Today the vehicle turns on but can’t switch gears to put it in reverse or drive. Vehicle is a paper wait and the earliest time I can take in to a certified mechanic is 1 month. I’ve had multiple issues with this car. Death wobble, electric recalls. And a recall that stated part not available park your car not in your garage and don’t charge your hybrid…. How can this car be allowed on the streets with this many issues under 2 years.
Jeep Wrangler has 46k miles, 2 years, but battery died while car was running. Would not start once car engine shut down. I was stuck in the middle of a busy intersection and was out ant risk of an collision. Upon running diagnostics, battery is fully drained and alternator is not starting. Online forms suggest it could be the alternative battery, charging the start/stop function, that died and drained the charge from the main battery. Prior to the incident, there was a low voltage warning which got worse over 2 days, until ultimately it died completely.

On [xxx] I bought a 2022 Jeep Wrangler 392 from ron tonkin Jeep in milwaukie, or. It was certified pre owned and still under full manufacturer warranty. I drove the car for one day then parked it at portland airport before flying to chicago. A week later while still out of town, I received a call from the parking lot manager that my car spontaneously caught on fire last night and violently burned also damaging 3 cars near it. The fire department came and put out the fire and said the fire was caused by “mechanical failure, malfunction”. Jeep has refused to cover this claim because they said the cause of the fire cannot be determined. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
On Nov 16, 2024 I was driving and turned a corner as soon as I did the engine light and another light came on with a message saying do not shift or turn off. I had it towed to capital Jeep and they said it was my main and aux battery, a week later which was yesterday 11-29-24 the same lights and message came on, I pulled into the dealership and they said it was the green bus connecter behind the glove box, then today 11-30-24 I was driving same lights and message again, however this time I could not go passed 5 miles an hour. So now it’s towed again and sitting at the dealership.
The ipc short circuited and has not been functioning since November of 2024. There is no gas gauge, fuel gauge or way to see any check engine lights. There is an active recall for Jeeps 2018-2024 under NHTSA recall number 24v-652. No accidents or anything to cause this panel to be blank. Drove it the night before, parked and when I started it the following morning the entire panel was black.
Complete loss of dashboard functionality while driving in hybrid mode. Dash suddenly went black, all warning lights started flashing and tachometer and charging gauge dials bouncing. Drove to suburban Jeep ann arbor with problem still occurring. Showed dash display to service representative. Service technician unable to replicate problem. Service representative communicated vehicle is operating as intended and is ready for pick up.
I received a recall that the battery may catch on fire, I do not feel safe driving the car.
I brought my Jeep in for the 95b recall this past December (12/17/24), it was fixed for about a week then problems with the electric system emerged and the vehicle would not run in electric mode. I also received messages saying that an oil change was required (despite having an oil change done in December), and that the battery needed to be charged for maintenance (despite the battery being fully charged the previous evening). I brought it back to dealer (2/3/25) to fix the issue. They said they fixed it and gave it back to me. A few days later the same problems reappeared so I brought it back on 2/22/25 and just received word that they cannot find a solution to the problems despite working with tech advisors from other dealerships and stellantis. In short, I have had the same issues with the vehicle since about November, they have attempted to fix it 3 times and now are telling me that they do not have a fix for the problems. Please help!.
My instrument control panel went completely black without any prior glitches. I couldn't see my speed, cruise control lights, engine temp, gas gauge. . . Nothing on my panel displayed.
