The instrument cluster will show random erratic readings like mileage will be off. Temperature goes to zero fuel gauge misread vehicle get stuck into a higher gear and won’t downshift doing research online I found a recall bulletin for 24v652000 and in that bulletin, it describes what my vehicle does, but my vehicle is not considered part of the recall bulletin. 2 Adaptive Cruise Control problem of the 2021 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 05/16/2025

Purchased this vehicle used from Chrysler Dodge Jeep in mesa, arizona. I was told the tires were newer and in great shape they looked to have a good amount of tread on them. However, I had an issue with one tire and the dealership patched it incorrectly making it a safety hazard therefore they replaced one tire with the plug and when I went to a tire place for pressure issues and tps sensor they pointed out the tires were over five years old which means these were the original tires that came with the Jeep in 2021. After only owning this vehicle for two months, I now have to replace all four tires because there is a safety issue with the age and the tread. There was also issues with the steering damper, which they did repair due to wobbling, however there is a slight wobble still because I have one brand new tire from the dealer and three tires that are not new. The dealer refuses to take ownership of the sale of unsafe tires. . Dealer offered three month 3000 mile max care warranty and they still won’t address the tire issue.

4 Adaptive Cruise Control problem of the 2013 Jeep Wrangler

Abs module failure and no replacement part available for this vehicle. After researching this issue, it should be a recall based on the highly excessive number of complaints and failures on this part. Has been ongoing for over 4 years and dealership says that Jeep Chrysler is aware of the issue and cannot get the part.

5 Adaptive Cruise Control problem of the 2018 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 11/11/2024

My vehicle started showing the airbag light on and it ended up being the clock spring, many Jeep Wranglers have being recalled because the same issue. The clock spring is the one that controls cruise, airbag, horn, traction, etc. I took it to the dealership and they said the vehicle was showing the b1b02 code, witch the the same why all the other Jeeps were recalled but there is not a recall yet for my year. I want to people be aware of the importance of it, because in a crash the airbag will not deploy and even not in a crash the cruise control could malfunction anytime. I got my vehicle repaired today for a total of $1137. 00 that wasn’t covered my extended warranty because they alleged the clock spring/airbag problem is reported very often. This is a really safety matter for all the Jeep owners!!!.

6 Adaptive Cruise Control problem of the 2021 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 10/10/2024

I had the most recent incident driving westbound in the evening hours shortly before sunset around October 10, 2024. It appears the sunlight from the setting sun triggered my adaptive cruise control and forward collision alert and triggered an alarm sound and activated emergency braking at the same time. I have had two previous incidents like this. One at the exact same location on my commute home at around the same time and maybe a week before. A third occurrence was on an eastbound morning drive with the rising sun. All three incidents triggered emergency braking from a speed of CA. 65mph. I was able to react fast enough to deactivate the acc by lightly pushing the brake pedal and could avoid serving or complete stopping of the vehicle. Luckily during all incidents I had no close traffic behind me, otherwise the incidents could have caused a rear end collision.

7 Adaptive Cruise Control problem of the 2018 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 06/19/2024

I have been having electrical problems with my Jeep for a couple of months. I took it in to my Jeep dealer that found over fifty problem codes. They cleared the codes and drove it for 180 miles over two weeks and could not get anything to duplicate. Some codes- service shifter, abs not communicating, engine light, no speedometer, sway bar service, service 4 wheel drive, cruise control off, remote start off, and more. They had me take it home and let them know if it continues. It did so I took it to a different mechanic and he came up with 72 codes and he couldn’t track any of them to a source. So I picked it up today and on the way home on the interstate curved overpass going 65 it suddenly veered to the right at the retaining wall. The power steering quite. It was all I could do to keep it from hitting the wall. If it would of been my wife driving she would of wrecked. I was almost home and was able to muscle it home barley able to turn into the drive way. After a while I went back outside and started it and the power steering worked just fine.

8 Adaptive Cruise Control problem of the 2015 Jeep Wrangler

9 Adaptive Cruise Control problem of the 2022 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 01/09/2024

My vehicle has a recall for the high pressure fuel pump. While driving the engine light and cruise control light will turn automatically and then go away consecutively. Yes, the issue has been confirmed and inspected by the manufacturer and the dealership in which I purchased my vehicle. The vehicle will stall when running or randomly turn off and smell like smoke. I have made 3 appointments in which the dealership will advise me to drop my vehicle off and once I arrive they tell me they do not have the parts. I called the manufacturer and they advised they receive the parts every 7 days. I have contacted the dealership and I will not get a response. Im scared for my safety and others.

Jeep Wrangler 4xe car engine died for reason unknown while traveling at a steady speed of ~40mph. Dashboard and car lights remained powered on, but the engine suddenly became unresponsive and the car began to coast. An error message appeared on the dashboard display but disappeared before it could be written down. About 5 seconds prior to the engine dying the cruise control, which had been engaged a few minutes earlier, but which was not believed to be active at the time, was toggled. It was a very dangerous situation, but no injuries resulted from this event. Car dealer could not replicate the problem. No error messages found stored on the car computer were found by the dealer. The problem has not occurred again, but the car has not been driven much since the event. Cause of the problem remains unknown.

Driving on the interstate with adaptive cruise control on at 72mph the vehicle loss power. Error message appeared, "performance limit pull over put in p and start " plus "service charging system". Vehicle quickly decelerated and luckly I had a place to pull over out of traffic. I then restarted the vehicle without issue.

18 Adaptive Cruise Control problem of the 2021 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 04/13/2022

Traveling about 55 mph and a car in front of me, exited to the right in a different lane. My Jeep slammed on the brakes as I was in the lane beside the turning car. Scared me to death, there was nothing in front of me and thankfully, there was no car behind me. Very scary feeling and almost lost control.

19 Adaptive Cruise Control problem of the 2011 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 09/19/2021

While travelling country road (divided highway) cruising at approximately 65 mph (cruise control engaged) the message indicator went "ding" and the check engine light began flashing. I turned on flashers, slowed down and found a commercial driveway into which I could exit and stop off roadway. After turning off ignition I immediately raised the hood and found active fire (flames) to the rear of the intake manifold and forward of the firewall where the wiring harness is located. I instructed my passenger to immediately exit the vehicle. I had bottles of drinking water with us (hot day in texas) so I took three or four bottles of water and extinguished the flames from both sides of the upper engine. The flames were immediately extinguished indicating no presence of petroleum products fueling the flames. After ensuring that fire was fully extinguished I called a local towing service to come pick us up and drop the Jeep at a local napa repair shop. Shop located and ordered a new wiring harness as opposed to trying to repair existing harness. May file a claim with auto insurance after repairs are made.

20 Adaptive Cruise Control problem of the 2021 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 07/27/2021

I was driving down the highway when the engine on my Wrangler 4xe suddenly shut off forcing me to cut off traffic to get to the shoulder. Numerous error messages were displaying but I did not have time to see them all. Final message I could see was "charging system error". After turning the Jeep off then back one the problem cleared. I suspect this was caused by the adaptive cruise control system. It had started to brake hard for a car not actually in my lane. At the same moment people were pulling in behind me to move over for a police car on the shoulder. The adaptive cruise control started what was a hard brake check on this traffic, so I overrode it by pressing on the accelerator, at which point it died. At the dealer they determined from the codes that the transmission control unit had shut off the engine control unit. Otherwise nothing could be determined as being wrong with the vehicle. Seeing all the other complaints of similar incidents involving Wranglers I think there is bad software code in the vehicle's control systems.

21 Adaptive Cruise Control problem of the 2021 Jeep Wrangler

Failure Date: 03/16/2021

immediately after purchase of my 2 door 2021 Jeep Wrangler jl (anniversary) the rear video camera stopped working at start up, and continued to be an ongoing issue, despite software reinstalls. two and a half months after purchase and with just 2000 miles on it, while driving in the rain I noticed that approximately 10 seconds after I put on the windshield wipers, the dashboard light would dim significantly, which made it difficult and distracting to see the speed at which I was driving, or the cruise control. Dimming migrated quickly after that to the monitor which became hard to read or see. Uconnect was also not working with images and audio being in discernable. not long after that, I noticed that the cruise control was also increasing the mph on its own while it was being set. Clearly having electrical issues. five days later going somewhere between 40-50mph on a highway, the Jeep shifted into manual and I could no longer accelerate. Luckily, there was not a lot of traffic and I coasted to the side of the road and pulled into a parking lot where I stopped the car, shut it off, turned it back on. The car was still working, but I was scared by what clearly could have been a life-threatening circumstance. at the dealership while the car was being delivered to me in the garage by an employee, it stopped driving in front of many employees and myself. The windshield wipers were going as fast as possible and rain was pouring down, and the car slipped into manual or park, and becoming undrivable. the car clearly has serious safety problems with the transmission and my dealership seems unconcerned about the safety of their clients. The Jeep continues to be a concern for me, and I do not feel safe driving it. I also believe this is not a new problem for Jeeps.
