On 3/9/2021 I was involved in a hit and run accident and my kia was hit on the passenger side. It was hit so hard that the it left a hole in the door and mu toddler was sitting in his car seat. When the fore dept arrived they noticed that the airbags did not deploy and disconnected the battery. I was advised that my air bags shouldve deployed. I was travling north on a city street at about 35 miles and hour when I was hit.

I was driving on a gravel road a little to fast and my car started to slide from side to side I tried to gain control but couldn't and ended up hitting a metal bridge. The air bags did not deploy as they should have. My whole front right in is damaged and the speed I was going the air bags should have went off!.

The 2017 kia Forte my client was driving was involved in an accident which resulted in moderate to heavy front end damage, approximate speed of impact was 20-25mph, the airbags did not deploy.

Involved in an accident where another driver failed to yield and caused the impact on 3 lane road going at about 40mph. At the point of impact, I was thrown into the steering column. The air bag did not deploy nor did the seatbelt lock to keep me from hitting the steering wheel. Minor injuries sustained because of lack of protection. The police officer on scene noted that neither safety device worked in my vehicle. The officer examined the belt. Based on the fact my chest was hit by the steering wheel the officer immediately assumed I was not wearing a belt and asked about it, but I had to correct the officer's assumption, indicating that I was wearing my belt and reported to the officer that the belt did not lock. The officer asked about my speed and I reported that my speed was between 35 and 40 miles per hour. The officer observed the airbag did not deploy and noted this as well. The right side of the vehicle was damaged. The car was inspected at time of repair but no indication of a faulty airbag or seatbelt other than noting product liability and to contact manufacturer.

Tl-the contact owns a 2019 kia Forte. The contact stated that while driving approximatele 20 mph, ( at night )did not see an animal come out of the woods ( head lamps very dim ) and forced the driver to go of the road in to a ditch. The frontal air bags did not deploy. The police were not present. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for a diagnostic. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage 16,000. Bp.

Tl- the contact owned a 2013 kia Forte. The contact stated that while attempting to place the vehicle into park and the vehicle would not shift gears. The contact tried to depress the brakes but they failed to operate as well. The contact made impact with a pole and the air bags did not deploy upon impact. The contact hit her face and chest against the steering wheel. The contact went to the hospital where she was treated for whiplash. The vehicle was destroyed due to the failure, the contact had the vehicle towed to her home. A police report was not filed. Upon investigation, the contact discovered that the vehicle had been involved with three accidents prior to her owning the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they are investigating the matter. The failure mileage was 63,000. Jo.

2014 kia Forte: vehicle will be stationary, in motion, or turning and the airbag light will turn on and off randomly, it has been staying on in the past few days. Dealership stated "airbag needs replacing, because in an accident airbag will not deploy" this car is only 5 years old with one owner less than 75,000 miles on it. Something is not right with how the airbag was installed by kia manufactures.

I have not been notified by kia of the recall. I wasn't aware of the recall until I researched my VIN number for information for my insurance company. I was involved in an accident may 11th 2019 with a front side impact and my air bags did not deploy. I my vehicle has been deemed totaled. I suffered mild whiplash and concusion. I was turning left to go down an isle in a parking lot when I was struck by a Chevrolet silverado. I went to hospital may 13th when condition didn't improve.

The steering wheel locked onto one side, I could not regain control of the vehicle as the brakes stopped working as well and it made a u-turn onto the same street I was driving on, hitting the curb, rolling over. I was found upside down in my car unconscious from the crash because my air bags did not deploy.

I got into an auto accident a year ago and the airbags did not deploy but the vehicle was considered a total loss. I discovered that my vehicle was still drivable because I can't afford another one. Well just the other day my inside dash lights and brake lights , well basically all lights started flashing in and out. Made the car break down in the middle of the road. I bought a new battery. New fuel pump, checked starter and alternator. All of those are functioning properly. But my car is still broke down on the side of the road.

I was traveling at a speed of 40mph, on a two lane state highway, when a vehicle veered into my lane going the opposite direction and hit the car in front of me. The vehicle in front of me was pushed into the front passenger side wheel. The front corner panel was damaged upon impact, and my car totaled, but my airbags never deployed. I received a letter from kia dated July 27 regarding a recall on airbags. On July 28, I was in a car accident with a drunk driver, and my airbags did not deploy. The car is totaled, and I no longer have it. There is a police and collision report.

Takata recall. I was involved in a front end collision accident on 6/18/2018 (due to someone running a red light) it caused extensive damage to my vehicle of approximately 4500. 00 . . Tl the contact owned a 2011 kia Forte. While driving 35 mph, the contact's vehicle was struck by an oncoming vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The driver's frontal air bag failed to deploy. My daughter was involved in a front end collision, in which her air bags on her Forte did not deploy. The impact was so significant that the bumper was split and the right side under body (frame) that meets the headlight assembly was bent! luckily, my daughter was not injured, as the impact was more on the right side. If she would've had a passenger to believe they would have sustained great injury. My daughter was traveling 45 mph, when she came upon a 96 Jeep grande cherokee without brake lights, stopped for a turning vehicle. She applied her brakes but was unable to stop in time. Her kia Forte, then went under the Jeep grande cherokee causing damages in which totaled her car.

On Saturday March 26th, 2018 I wss driving north bound on i471 in kentucky. Doing about 50-55 mph while it was snowing/sleeting outside. As I was traveling another vehicle swerved over to get in exit lane while at same time on a right turn around exit lane. Once car did so, I had to press hard, slam on my brakes to avoid being clipped by other vehicle. As I did this I began to spin nor, the esc or traction control took over and I spun out of control striking guard rail at unknown speed. I was uninjured, however as u can see lots of damage to front and driver side airbag did not deploy. I contacted kia right away do to the recent recalling brake stop pedal. I took pictures they required andcs3nt them as, too they were concerned of non airbag deployment. They determined via an engineer with in their dept. Just by looking at photo's that airbag should not have deployed. So, my issue with this is they are making a determination by not physically having vehicle damage to make assumption airbags never deployed. Upon looking at other complaints on here about the same time as mine. This maybe a concern going forward. I have given said automaker to help with repairs from accident. And they seem to trying to avoid these problems with said vehicle.

I was parking my car yesterday at 7/11 and the car accelerated on it's own and crashed into a cement pillar. The airbag did not deploy. I have seen a blog where dozens of Forte owners complained about the same issue, sometimes more than once. I was injured and the car needs $9000 in repairs, also I am sure my insurance will increase.

Airbags did not deploy in a single-car front end collision. The driver fell asleep at the wheel on interstate 195 in swansea MA. The car left the roadway to the left at highway speed (approximately 65 mph) and crashed into the wooded median. The car front end was totally destroyed and the engine compartment crumpled, but the airbags did not deploy. The car was a total loss.

My son was driving swerved to avoid a deer and got into a gravel area and went down a ravine as the car ended up rolling end over end (nose down reer end up so on and so forth) the airbags did not deploy at all. I called kia and they will not explain to me how it was possible airbags didnt deploy.
