Check engine light came on and then when trying to excellerate on the gas to enter onto the highway, the engine started bogging down and not picking up speed. Took it to o'reilly autoparts to get the engine code and it came back as a faulty boost control position sensor circuit.
My check engine light will come on and off and when I went to go get it checked, it came up and transmission range sensor circuit (pnrdl) input. When I put my car in park, I can't take it out until I turn my car off and turn it back on. My car has a little over 87,000 miles and should not have transmission/engine issues.
While driving on the interstate, my kia Optima stopped accelerating, we were luckily near an exit and were able to pull over to the side of the road. The lights and music stayed on but the car would not start again. There was nothing happening up to the point that would have warned us this was going to happen, the check engine light never came on. I had to get the vehicle towed home.
There was a recall on the kia Optimas for the tod bearings in the engine. I had the recall done on April 8 2019. As of 7/22/19 the same code p1326 and symptoms arw are happening again which are check engine light blinking the car is in limp mode the car was smoking and it can't go over a certain speed.
Since purchase this car has continued to have engine issues , oil issues and check engine light on and off. It's a real concern to me and since this continues the air bag sensors keep coming on. This car was purchased in 2017 from dealership. This started occurring mid January 2018 and had gotten progressing. This cannot be normal. I received a red recall notice and have since been informed that there are no recalls on this 2014 kia Optima. This is very concerning to me ! this car obviously has serious issues. The vehicle is reading this as there are messages alerting me on the display and through the digital system.

Metal debris may have been generated from factory machining operations of the engine crankshaft and may not have been completely removed from the crankshaft's oil passages during the cleaning process. It was also determined that the additional machining processes of the crankpins safety risk if the warnings are ignored and the vehicle continues to be driven, the bearing may fail and the vehicle could stall while in motion. An engine stall at higher speeds can increase the risk of a crash.
While driving on the highway at 70mph the vehicle experienced a complete loss of power. The engine turned off, loss of power steering, loss of power braking, and immediate deceleration of the vehicle. This incident posed a hazardous condition for both this vehicle and other vehicles on the road. The vehicle was pulled to the side of the road and was restarted. There was no accident or injuries related to this incident. The key was in the on position, no check engine light was triggered. Based on other complaints, it appears that this is a manufacturer engine issue for which the manufacturer is not issuing a recall or honoring the manufacturer warranty. The vehicle has ~22,000 miles and all manufacturer suggested maintenance has been performed on time per the manufacturer's specifications.
Car cuts off while driving, doesn't matter if going 40 mph or 80 mph. . . . . . . Engine tach drops to "0". . . . . . . . Foot feed doesn't respond. . . . . . . . You keep trying to give gas up and down. . . . . . . Finally will buck as trying to respond . . . . . . As cutting in and cutting out. . . . . Finally will then drive as normal. . . . . . . . You may coast down to from 80 to 20 mph before it goes again. No dash lights indicated, do not have to turn key to start, does not. . . . . . Cause a check engine light, no codes indicated. . . . . . . . . . . Daughter almost got rear end on the interstate. . . . . . Someone is going to get killed!!!! without a doubt a major "safety issue". . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Reading numerous complaints of other kia models having the same issue. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . This needs to be looked into, how many lives have been lost from kia's cutting off while driving??????.
