I constantly have to replace headlight bulbs, brake light bulbs and fog light bulbs like 2 to 3 times a year and my lights on dim is too dark and not aligned correctly, for the headlights one side shine up and the other shine down on several occasions I had to replace the whole headlight fixture because the bulb got so hot it melted into the fixture around it.

Driving down the road, at night, my fog lights start going on and off. I never realized how much they actually help. Car isn't under warranty so kia will not replace. Google search shows lots of people with the same problem. Found out it could be the lcm - $80. For what looks like a damn plug in. Really? come on kia. Additionally, I was informed of a headlight recall. Called rick case kia, again, terrible service/customer service. They dismissed me, just kept saying "there's no recall for this vehicle. ".

The mirror inside the low beams is not working. It does not allow my headlights to project out. I barely see at night. Only lights I have are my fog lights and high beams.

2011 kia Optima headlights became extremely dim creating visibility and safety concerns during night travel. I changed the lid bulbs hoping to rectify the problem but same issue still remained. High beams work as they should and fog lights puts out more illumination than low beam. Took the vehicle to local kia dealership (fred anderson kia raleigh nc) for diagnostic. Diagnostic revealed that the headlight assemblies had to be replaced. Price to replace assembly is unacceptable for what appears to be a ongoing problem with same year and model vehicle.
Rear passenger side seat belt buckle will not latch/unlatch properly. When buckling, it won't latch without jiggling and reinserting several times. Latch won't always release when unbuckling. Vehicle is stationary when attempting to latch and unlatch. The fog lights do not function at all the antenna wiring is defective. Satalight radio will not pick up unless the brakes are used and then for just a moment the connection is made and the station can be heard although staticky and unclear. But only does it sometimes and when car is driving and the brakes are appiled.
Sunroof is not closing properly; kia is unwilling to fix it under their warranty. Fog light switch broke and they will also not fix it under their 60k warranty. Both of these items occurred before the date selected; this was the date that kia notified me of their decision. Also, the mileage at which these occurred was before 60k and just after 60k were on the vehicle.
Low beam headlights are very dim, to the point of being virtually useless. Fog lights provide more lighting. Replaced bulbs to no avail. High beams work great. Possible that the reflective coating inside hid housing has burned off.
-1st problem- headlights/ fog lights seem to burn out way too often. I've owned cars for over 30 years and never had to replace bulbs as often as I do with this car. -2nd problem- steering seems to be difficult to keep on road and wheel seems to be sticking. I find myself over-correcting to "unlock" the steering wheel. I have a long daily commute, 184 miles round trip, so my 3 year old car has over 100,000 miles. I bought it brand new and never had the steering problem until recently. The headlights burning out has been on going since about 2 months after buying the car. Other than those 2 things, the car has been great with great gas mileage, good ride, etc. However, the steering problem scares me now.
The visor on the driver side of the car fails to stay upright limiting visibility. The headlights are so poor that it's almost impossible to see when driving on a dark road at night. It's to the point where I don't drive the vehicle at night because the road leading out provides little to no light and I would constantly have to ride with the bright on to be able to see including the fog lights. Both are safety concerns that could possibly lead to an accident or someone being seriously hurt. I've seen several complaints but no further actions have been initiated.

The low beams are very dim. The fog lights light up the road better than the low beams. I replaced the lowbeam bulbs with sylvania silverstar ultra bulbs which are very bright in my other car, they still are very dim.
