For the past 2 months I have been dealing with a very annoying and very dangerous problem the kia Sedona pulled to the left. While not too noticeable on city streets it I was very noticeable on the freeway, and if the steering wheel was ever let go for a second the car pulled to the left ,right toward the freeway median. My hands and arms get tired holding the vehicle straight on long trips. To me, this was a very dangerous situation. * the problem began in March 2007, and has gotten incresingly worse. I have taken it to my private mechanic once for a front end alignment, he said it didn't do anything, but it still pulled to the left!). I have then taken it back to the dealer three times. The first time they said they adjusted somethin at no change. The second time they said they replaced the rightside strut at no change. The third time they claimed they adjusted the leftside strut at no change. My car is now going back to the dealer for a fourth time, to get its left strut replaced. I am not convinced this will solve the problem. This is a safety issue, and I have found several other postings (both here, and in other forums) that all have the exact same compaint: 2006 kia Sedona pulls to the left. While the dealer has been patient-- they are also clueless and have supposedly not heard of this problem. The last time I was in, they made me take their mechanic for a ride, which I was glad to do, to prove to him that the car veers to the left. The mechanic started using excuses like "OH, the road slopes left, so that's why it does that" and also "this model has torque-steering, so this is normal". In my opinion, this demans a recall. Personally, I am beginning the process of taking advantage of wisconsin's lemon law - which states that 4 repairs for the same thing in the first year qualify the car as a lemon.

: the contact stated while driving at various speeds the vehicle rides rough. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on 5 occasions for this problem. The front struts and strut boots were replaced, however the problem persisted.

There has been an ongoing (since Dec. 2003) problem of a "thudding" noise from the front suspension. The dealer has acknowledged the noise repeatedly. The service rep states that Kia Motors is aware of the noise but does not have a solution. He also said that the dealership gets new '05 Sedonas off the delivery trucks with the same problem! no solution has been offered other than "well, it's not going to hurt anything or break down and leave you stranded. " but come on, a bumping, thudding noise from a vehichle with 20k miles. . . . . Or a brand new vehichle?!? something has got to be done to fix this .

I've had many problems with my 2003 kia Sedona. The emergency brake has never been right. The brakes were replaced at 13k miles, again at 24k miles (front & back) and I'm sure they need to be replaced again at 40k miles. At 22k miles I took the van to the shop for brakes only to be told that both wheel bearings, the left strut (they refused to replace both struts since it was warranty but if I was paying for the repairs they would recomend replacing in pairs) and the power steering pump was going out (which the manager said he was doing me a favor by telling me about). I have also complained of the a/c taking forever to cool down, had a sensor replaced for the gas tank after the check engine light came on and service to the drivers seatbelt. Then yesterday during a storm I went through a puddle about 4 or 5 inches deep which splashed water on my van for a couple of seconds and about 50 feet down the road the van died and could not be restarted. Upon having it towed to the kia dealer I was told that my airfilter had gotten wet and that there was "dish soap" in my airfilter which would be considered customer damage and not covered by warranty. I also complained about more noises coming from the front and a grinding noise when I begin acceleration in low gears. They requested I make an appointment for service on those issues. In addition, I purchased this vehicle on 4/23/03, when I tried to file a complaint about my service on the wheel bearing, etc with kia they had no record of me ever purchasing this van. Apparently in their minds my van was sold to someone else on 2/27/03. This means if there is ever a recal or service notice sent out I would not receive them. In addition they had my warranty expiration date set at 2/27/03. I spoke with several people concerning this issue and was assured that this would immediately be corrected, however yesterday when I called for assistance I was told that the van was still listed as being sold to another person.
Front end suspension was tight when new. Now the front end makes sounds as if something is loose and about to fall off or break. Dealer said it was normal! other 2002 kia Sedona's don't have that feeling in the suspension. I have read that other's have had their suspensions fixed by changing components such as struts, bushing, seals, etc. Kia knows something is wrong with the 2002's because test drives show the 2003's don't have that sound of shacking front end.

We have a 2002 kia Sedona; we bought in Dec of 2001. Within the first 6 months, the alternator, battery, ignition switch, had to be replaced, along with sliding doors falling off the hinge. I complained of a wind noise for the first year no one knew what it was. It went unfixed. Within a year the shocks, the struts and sliding doors had to be replaced. My air-condition went out completely guess what no more wind noise. And no longer under warranty. My rear wiper control went out. Recently, while on thanksgiving vacation to ohio we had to have roadside pick up our van as the transmission totally went out without warning. While in the shop we were advised our brakes were not safe to drive. We had never had a problem with the brakes. And the motor mounts were also in need of replacement. Was in the shop 14 days, we had to drive back to ohio to when ready. The brakes went to the floor had never ever done that before. When we were on our way out of town, the transmission was acting up. We made it home on Dec 7th and no one at kia could take the vehicle in until the service manager returned my call he was off for doctor visit. On Dec 13, I took my van in to be repaired, they called me and told me it would need a new transmission, and guess what they are also repairing the sliding doors 5th time I think. They have to also fix the dent in the hood that was not there, before the ohio kia took it in to be fixed. Today it has been 15 days. I still do not have my van. I would not recommend kia to my worst enemy. Please allow others to know that kia is a lemon if ever there were one.
