general problems of the 2015 Kia Motor Sorento - part 2

Tl the contact owns a 2015 kia Sorento. The contact stated that the back up camera failed to function and the radio shorted out. Fuccillo kia of port charlotte (202 tamiami trail, port charlotte, FL 33953, (941) 249-6171) inspected the vehicle and stated that the radio needed to be replaced, but had not yet diagnosed the cause of the back up camera failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 51,503.

As soon as I pulled it off the lot within a few months I had some stalling where it would only go 30 mph I was pushing down on the gas full blown and then all of a sudden it would jerk and then it would go again I took it to the dealership the first time in 2016 and I told him that and they said they couldn't help me there was nothing wrong with it so I said okay second time and did it I took it back there and said there's something wrong do some testing they did some testing nothing. I was doing 70 mph and it jerked on me it slowed all the way down to 30mph by it self a semi I just passed I ended up hitting the milepost marker went through four lanes of traffic that semi almost hit me and killed me $10,000 worth of damage to my car I told guys need to figure this out. Kia they said nothing was wrong with it I got the body damage fixed I had full coverage. I went in again and told them there's something wrong with this vehicle they said it was fine so then I drove it for about a year it kept stalling but then it caught on fire smoke started coming out of the engine compartment as I was driving and my gauges went crazy went all the way to hot so I pulled over . I jumped out another person pulled over that was coming the opposite way and yelled get away from the car just in case it blow up it was white smoke at first and then it started turning into black smoke it was burning something had to sit there for hours we called kia told him to come get it engine had caught on fire. Kia then said theyre replacing engine they did the inspection at no time did they tell me there were any recalls. It took all that for them to finally help me. I bought a new car for a reason I spent over $32,000 for this reliable car I wouldn't take it on a trip it's unsafe my headlights go out all the time I'm sick of buying bulbs so I don't drive at night. I need a new vehicle I got one of the bad seeds kia had yet to say there in the wrong. I am still waiting for them to help 4 years now.

When iphone connected the stereo randomly skips. And when my wife got out of the car the stereo wouldn't shut off. Also took car in to dealership multiple times due to leaking radiator fluid. Fixed gasket but still smell radiator fluid when you have car running awhile. Also engine makes terrible knocking noise like a litter issue when you start the car up. It lasts about 10-15 seconds.

When trying to start the car, everything flickers like the battery is dying, then it will crank, but now all of the lights are on and won't go off and it is dinging like the keys are still in the ignition, but they aren't.

Went to turn on the car the car had accelerated while in park. From there the same that the electrical part in the car stop working. The tire sensor was also on the engine sensor was also on major issues.

The contact owns a 2015 kia Sorento. While driving approximately 15 mph, the vehicle suddenly lost all power and all the indicators on the instrument panel illuminated. I have purchased multiple lights for my front and rear lights including blinkers and brake lights. I recently purchased a set of lights for $80, top to the line, and the front right light is out again. I have replaced the rear brake light and it is out again. Replaced at the same time around July 4th.

Returning from a trip to California, the kia had just turned over 30000 miles on the KS turnpike when the engine oil light came on. We stopped and checked the oil, it was fine. We had had the oil changed before the trip so it had less than 3000 miles. After checking the oil, we resumed the trip. Within a mile we heard a knocking sound, the car died, we pulled over and the car engine was on fire. Called 911, within 15 minutes the firemen arrived and extinguished the fire. One of the firemen said it looked electrical and seemed to be centered in the front of the engine, the fan blades were melted and all wires and all rubber hosing melted. My car first off is a lemon kia has dragged me along from the beginning. My engine was replaced due to a smoke fire no flames they have yet to take blame for it and had my car for a month in the shop and wouldn't tell me anything they still don't admit it was a car fire but I know it was I had witnesses trying to pull me out of the vehicle which I had towed to kia. Before that happened I took it in twice letting them know I had shortage problems with my lights turning off and bulbs going out over and over with the headlights it happen one time at night at a speed of 70mph they told me to change the blub that was the problem treated me like I was crazy I've been pulled over for one headlight and officers told me to sue and trade or turn in my vehicle it was a lemon. I knew nothing about lemon laws until it was to late and kia knew exactly what to say to keep me at bay for almost two years now I'm still having issues and no carlot will take it as a trade due to fire hazard issues and they don't want the risk and I have 4 recalls on this year. It was the worst year for kids. I bought this SUV new planning to take trips I have yet to take one trip with my family because we're afraid . Kia could have taken it back and gave us a year newer to make our troubles go away but instead have avoided the situation and drag it out as my fault my vehicle has lost value and if resold all the things will pull up and I don't feel safe selling this to another family so I am stuck I paid $35,000 for this vehicle they should have taken it back now the airbag light is on doesn't go off it's a recall I found out so another safety hazards I have a newborn baby I'm due in September I can't risk anymore time with what this vehicle has been said to do last week in oregon just the city next to me the same year kia caught fire I have the pictures thank goodness no one got hurt it was a horrible scene. I have leaking of some sort that has damaged my driveway and I have low oil all the time.
