While driving the vehicle and while pressing the gas pedal the vehicle starts to come to a stop as if the gas pedal is not being applied. I have to release the gas pedal and press it again for the Sorento to respond and continue to accelerate. I took it to the dealer and they have no clue as to what is the problem. They reset the computer and released the vehicle to me but the problem persists.

It would down shift unexpectedly and then jerk and jolt. I bought my 2007 kia Sorento in October 2007, and I have had it into the shop more times then I can count for a violent jerking, stuttering, stalling. Each time I take it in the service department drives it and tells me they can't find anything wrong with it. I had it in a couple of weeks ago and they adjusted the air intake valve which helped but did not solve the problem. If they can't fix it soon it will be pushed off a cliff. . . .

On Saturday, April 3, 2004, my 2003 kia sorrento was parked in the middle of my driveway while I moved the lawn. After returning my lawn mower to the garage, I got into the sorrento to move it back into the garage. After I started the vehicle and put it into drive, it accelerated rapidly, pulled me through the garage and through the back wall, which is solid brick. I went through my front yard, and the only reason I stopped was because the vehicle went over some boulders and down an incline, causing the back wheels to come off the ground. I also hit a tree in my front yard. The air bags did not deploy.
