The contact found the dealer staff initially very rude to her. The contact called the manufacturer and asked to speak to a representative and was referred to the dealer. The vehicle was still under a warranty and the dealer discovered that the rear differential had collapsed in back of the vehicle. The dealer informed the contact that the cost for the repairs was to be up to $3,000. The contact wanted to check for possible recalls. The dealer tried to say the contact only had a five year warranty when she had a ten year warranty or 100,000 miles. The contact currently had 74,000. Miles. The contact had to fight with the dealer to finally get a loaner vehicle while the repairs were done. Afterwards the contact felt the steering was off and the manufacturer refereed her to another dealer. The contact insisted of not going out of her way to another dealer when that one was closest to her home. Overall the contact still does not feel safe in her vehicle and believes the dealer overall was extremely rude and difficult to deal with. Currently the vehicle had not been rechecked to adjust the steering. The failure mileage was 34,685. Tf.

Transmission problems like not getting into gear or jerking when shifting and engine seem to loose power or not have enough also there is a noise the a/c making a rattling noise and vibrating .

Takata brake lights not working bought 3 since jan2019. Got brakes done in 2018 but pedal still moves at red light car moves forward. I mash breaks harder. Engine shakes or jumps. Ignition switch won't turn on car it don't crank up key was remade a yr ago. Ignition started back working well but 6months ago same problem again. Today I was stuck 3. 5hrs. Horrible please help my Sorento is loved by me. No one contacted me on these issues im having.

The ball bearings went out on the front end causing both my front tires to wear right down to the wires on the tire treads. Within a few weeks of fixing them the engine seized in my car for the second time. While my 16 year old was driving it on the highway she sudden lost power and the vehicle started to slow down. She pulled off the road and had her brother take over driving it. He could not get it to speed or to shift so he put it in manual to get it off the highway. Once off the highway he called me. I followed him less then 4 miles to the local mechanic who listen to the engine and said to park the car as the engine was about to go. In the process of driving it home less then 2 miles the engine completely seized up.

Hello, I purchased a car from george taylor aka micheal booker. When I brought. The car to tge mechanic he said that the axcel struts and hubs were glued togteher and it was melting I called mr booker to let him know to please give me my miney back he refused to. He said he would get it fixed if I paid for the parts I paud for the parts and the car is still not fixxed I took him to court and won he wont pay me is past thirty day and im still out of a car and my money. . My airbag lights going on and off when it wants to , sometimes when starting it will stay on , or you will driving it will come on , when you turn the wheel it comes on, also many times been reported to dealer a popping noise going on, dealer says they cant find issue �. .

Tl the contact owns a 2016 kia Sorento. While driving approximately 35 mph, the steering ability became very loose and the vehicle pulled to the right. The contact took the vehicle to jim shorkey kia (10785 perry hwy, wexford, PA 15090) where it was repaired for front alignment failures. The failure recurred on April 15, 2019 and was currently back at the dealer to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 26,280.

My 2014 kia Sorento started having axil problems just recently. I am well aware that this was a problem with front wheel drive and their were recalls of that same year make and model. Mine is awd and this should be included as this only started happening at 60k.

On 3/21/19 I was driving through a ez pass toll plaza. I heard a very loud sound almost like an explosion coming from the front passenger side of the car. My car started to vibrate. I pulled to the side to check out the car. I thought my tire blew. There nothing wrong with the tires. There was nothing around or in the lane of the toll plaza. I could not identify the reason for the sound. I did smell an odd order in the car. I was able to drive the car without any further problem. A few weeks later I heard a squeaking sounds when driving. Recently I took the car to kia and was accused of the car being in an accident. I explained to them the incident and stated that the car was never in an accident. I was advised by kia to contact my insurance company to repair the issues.

My tires feel as if they are going to fall off, also every small bump I hit feels as if I hit a big pothole or a object when that's not the case and my wheels pop as I turn.

Sparks coming from battery box, lights in dash go off and on can not acceleration and back axle is loose. I bought this used in dothan kia last yr. The car just went down past 2 months. Can't drive my expensive car.

I have a 2014 kia Sorento sxl 3. 3 ltr v6 with 119, 952 miles on it. On 11/26/2018 after pulling in the drive way and existing the car I smelled what I believed to be an antifreeze smell. My car did not have any warning indicators on and my temperture gauge was normal. I took my car to dobbs on 11/27/2018, paid $30. 95 and told it was leaking head gaskets which cost $4500-$5000 to repair. I decided to call kia consumer affairs and had my car towed to a kia dealership for diagnostics and they decided I needed a motor, the cost would be $7600. I then called consumer affairs back and was told by the agent she would submit a request for a goodwill repair. Kia agreed to replace my motor as the technician diagnosed, but I am responsible for labor at $140/hour for 21. 4 hours. I really appreciate kia replacing the motor, obviously due to some type of defect. Wondering if there will soon be a recall on it. I've had 2 steering columns installed, alternator, lower oil pan and still a popping noise. I was told on the 4th time of complaining to dealer services, they tighten an axle nut. Well the nut must be loose again because the popping is back. Could this be a problem with the axle which has been recalled on other models?should my motor also have been a part of the motors most recently recalled. Could my strut have started leaking due to an adequate amount of corrosion substance not being applied ? I replacind my struts,rotors, breaks and 4 new tires. I love my car, this is my second kia. I am greatful, but a little disappointed about paying $3000. My 2 month old daughter passed away in her sleep on March 15. 2017 and left me with the stress of losing her, funeral cost and now this. I am a single mother; therefore money is tight. Cars similar to mine have caught on fire due to faulty motors and that is really a scary thought.

My driver side door will not open from the outside. I have two small children and I'm afraid to put child lock on because this is a common problem according to my research. I haven't gotten a recall for this problem and it makes for a very dangerous maybe deathly situation. Horn doesn't work.

As I was trying to park I put the car in reverse and apply the break and put it down into drive as I dropped it to drive I heard a loud bang. Once the bang happen the front left driver's tire seized up car started accelerated but we're not going anywhere the right tire facing forward the left tire facing 45� to the west. After further examination it looks like the axle had been ripped ripped from the transmission as there was noticeably transmission fluid on the axle.

Took my car in for nys inspection and was alerted to an issue with my rear suspension. The rear cross member is completed rotted out and the upper trailing arm have become separated from the cross member due to rust and corrosion. This is a 2004 kia Sorento ex that I purchased new and now has 103,000 miles. This corrosion is an extremely hazardous situation and the vehicle cannot be repaired. Needless to say it cannot be driven.

Back up camera stopped working and just shows a black screen sensors still work but that is all. Also when I turn the car hard right or left it sounds as though the tires are hitting the wheel well with a loud crunchy thud.

When braking, brakes give out and car skids. On turns, I have to pump brakes to try and regain control.

The rear mount arm brackets rusted in half on both side of the rear axle. Causing myself to almost wreck. I have huge records for maintenance and up keep on this vehicle that with all the money I had that I kept this vehicle well taking care of and only van be lead to a design flaw the the manufacturing.

My wife drives this car primarily. She asked me last week to see what I thought about weird noises from the rear brakes when applying. I could not recognize the noises, so I took it to a local shop. The technician has found extreme rust issues with the rear axle link brackets on the axle housing being rusted out and no longer connected. I have dealt with vehicle repair most of my life, and know this is an extremely dangerous condition. My wife carries her 83 year old mother, and our 3 year old grand daughter. I will not allow her to drive it until I am able to get it on a lift and investigate for myself. I do not have a spare vehicle at this time I have found this to be a very widespread problem on these autos, and am inquiring if there is any knowledge of there being a recall for this issue.

Was driving wife to work , stopped at light when light turned green I pushed the gas pedal and I heard a bang so loud I thought someone hit us from behind. I drove car home and looked under it and I couldn't believe it ! the rust on the rear end brackets and the two bars connected to them were totally rusted through and hanging off. I went to the kia dealer where I originally bought the car and asked them about it they said they never heard of that problem. I told them there are hundreds of complaints on the internet about it ,they told me don't believe everything you see on the internet. Then they said that it's not a kia problem it's a road salt problem. I told them nothing else under the car was rusted that bad , and I believe it's a design problem. They said there is nothing they can do, so now I have a car with only 83,000 miles on it that is too dangerous to drive. This problem had to have started way way before 83,000 miles to have gotten this bad.

My daughter took my car a 2004 kia Sorento in for a nysi and the shop dead lined the car and made me flatbed it home due to the fact that the rear end was falling out due to excessive rot on the brackets and they deemed the car unsafe to drive. The women that runs the shop told my daughter and son that this isn't the first time that she has seen this on a kia. In fact its a prevalent issue! upon coming home I did some research on the internet and found that this is a major issue that the federal government should be looking into ordering kia to do a recall,my daughter could have been killed driving this vehicle. I also saw on the internet that in the uk kia had taken care of this issue with consumers. I would like consideration in having kia repair this car free or purchace the vehicle back at blue book pricing. This is an extremely dangerous issue that could have killed my daughter or anyone else on the road where my daughter was driving the kia Sorento.

I have repeatedly contacted kia corporate and the dealership regarding an axle issue. It is the same exact issue that nhsta has issued a recall notice for 2014 model vehicles. My axle is in jeopardy of fracturing - company will not repair the issue because they say 2013s aren't covered. Summary: Kia Motors corp. Is recalling certain model year 2014 front wheel drive Sorento vehicles manufactured January 7, 2013, through March 12, 2013; and equipped with 2. 4 liter engines. Due to a manufacturing issue, the right front axle shaft may fracture.

We had an electrical issue with the car and it was towed to a dealership a couple hundred miles from home. There the dealer noticed the bracket that holds the rear end on had rusted away and it was leaking fluid. The car has around 45,000 miles on it and I feel that an issue like this should have been a recall as I have since found is a common problem and was recalled in europe for the same thing. My daughter could have been killed. This car has been in a kia dealership 3 times so far this year for an oil leak issue and they should have mentioned this issue. The warranty ran out in may after the last visit up to this one. The dealer even said there could have been a fire.

The rear axle is falling apart and it's rusted where I can't even weld a bracket for the rear suspension it's so rusted that I was told by a mechanic that the rear axle can actually fall off the vehicle I would have to replace the entire rear axle so I can put a bracket or it will come with a bracket it will cost me $4000 and I think a kia should be responsible because the whole entire car underneath it rusted bucket full of rust.

This kia Sorento makes a very high over-revving noise while driving up the street. The kia often seems to try to find the gear it needs to be in while driving and makes a loud engine noise when going up hill or driving more than 20 mph. This kia also makes a internal clicking noise when making right turns, which is often worse when turning on an incline. The engine has a loud rattle noise when started and the car is often hard to start, meaning when I turn the ignition key, the car may start 50 percent of the time on the first start.

When I went in for a routine tire rotation, I was told my driver's side coil spring was broken which presented a safety hazard as it could pop the tire. When calling for estimates, I was told that the coil spring must have been defective for a car of this year and mileage.

I recently had struts replaced due to normal wear and was informed there was an issue with a fracture in the right front axle. I was further told it may be a recall. Well after research I was told it waa for 2014 but it is the exact same issue on my vehicle. I was advised to submit this for review to see if this recall of the 2014 front axle should be extended to more years as my issue is the exact same thing. It does make loud noise at mild turns. The mechanic stated it will only get worse as the fracture progresses. I have to get this fixed and can't wait to see what your decision if any is but maybe this will help others.

My engine seized up while in motion. The front end pops during braking, and a bolt head broke off the awd housing.

The 2003 kia Sorento has a problem with extensive frame rusting, to the point where some owners have had the suspension detach from the frame. One owner in particular has had issues with the gas tank needing to be replaced, and Kia Motors refuses to do anything about the problem. They built the car, sold it to people, and when consumers have complaints about their vehicle, they (kia) says that they're not responsible. You need to examine this, because people could get killed by operating an unsafe vehicle. Do something about this now, before it becomes the next pinto. Make kia fix the damn vehicles now!!!.
