The contact owns a 2010 kia Soul. The contact stated that while attempting to add air to the tire, the valve stem became detached from the wheel. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer for inspection and was advised that the stem could not be replaced with out replacing the entire valve and transmitter. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and stated that there was nothing that could be done to assist. The failure mileage was 36,000.
