Car Stall Problems of Kia Motor Spectra

Will randomly stall. Been to the mechanic several times and we can't find the problem. Doesn't matter if your going down the road or just idling in the yard stalls out.

I didn't know about this website until I realize that my 2007 kia Spectra ex was not on the list of recall for brake light problem. So I started search for reporting it. I know my affect part is engine,but my husband & I car is falling apart. We don't have the money to have it fix. The engine is the last problem we have had so far. It stall if you go too fast around 55. It stall all the time. My husband stop at a red light it cut off. I believe the company should pay for the problems. They had no problem asking for a large amount of money from us. Both of the problems I stated are dangerous. Please help in doing something.

Immediately after leaving the dealership for the second time the failure recurred while driving approximately 35 mph. The driver was able to merge to the side of the highway and restart the vehicle. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, who diagnose that the mass air sensor flow filter and spark plugs needed to be replaced. In addition, the contact has experienced surging in the vehicle when coming to a complete stop. After the surging, the rpm's would race to high numbers. The manufacturer was contacted and they offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 4,200. The current mileage was approximately 7,700.

The dealer claims that since they cannot find anything wrong with my vehicle, then there is nothing that they can do and I am just stuck with a defective vehicle, which has become unsafe to drive on the road.

A few days prior to the maintenance the consumer stated a vehicle made an illegal lane change the consumer stated the wheel froze and would not move and the consumer collided with the freeway divider and suffered injuries and extensive property damage to the vehicle. I have taken it to the dealer for service and have been told it is on a "call" list. I was given no further information. I was just told to give them a few days to "try" to fix the problem.
