My 2002 kia started leaking transmission fluid, I went to kias repair shop four different times in three different states and the problem still exists. After the fourth time of being in the shop the one dealership told me that I have a bent or dented drive shaft, even though I have only had the vehicle for six months. And I have never hit anything, taken the vehicle off road or ran over anything to dent or bend this drive shaft. The dealership notified me this was an impact problem and that it is not covered under warranty and that I would have to replace the drive shaft at a cost of approximately. $800. I just bought the car six months. Ago and I don't feel I should be liable for damages that were not caused by myself. My doors also lock by themselves repeatedly and all four dealers said they fixed the problem but they still lock by themselves. The engine runs like the car is about seven or eight years old.

After purchasing this vehicle new we are very upset at the lack of concern and assisstance from the numerous government agencies I have contacted, completed forms and mailed them, I have yet to be contacted. Both my 4 year old son & I almost lost our lives when my engine stalled on an interstate speed limit 70 cars turning everyway to avoid us, I really felt there was no hope when I saw an 18 wheeler approaching, I turned to move my son from the rear seat to the front so I could at least hold him, the driver saw me and when he managed to stop his rig was jackknifed and 1 side hit the block barrier. I have documents to prove the engine problems in 97 kia's can't be repaired. Will lives be lost before kia is held responsible? please help.
Vehicle would jerk. Engine check light kept coming on. Vehcle would overheat & fail to start. Also, vehicle had revved while at stop light due to fast idle . The ported passage hole was too small. It needed to be wider according to mechanic. Driveshaft broke twice in last 6 months.
While driving at 65 mph there was a noise from the left front tire, then the brakes locked up. Front tire almost came completely off the vehicle. Dealership indicated that this was caused by a manufacturing defect in the front wheel drive.
When driving consumer noticed vibration coming from front end, also, upon depressing brake pedal or when releasing brake pedal, consumer noticed a noise coming from vehicle. Problem felt like sticky calipers. Consumer believed that problem was linked to the driveshaft. Consumer has contacted dealer, dealer was unable to determine the cause of the problem. Please provide any further details.
