High beams failure. Yes it is available for inspection. I live/travel in rural area with large sized wildlife. I require the ability to have high beams. I haven’t taken it to a service center, nor has any inspection been conducted. No warning lights, to the contrary, the interior instrumentation shows high beams are on even though they aren’t. This has been since I purchased the vehicle 2 months ago.
Hi beam indicator on dash comes on when activated but the headlamps do not go to hi beam. Can't see as well at night without hi beams. Hi beams haven't worked the last few night drives. There are no warning la. Ps to indicate a problem.
High beams do no turn on, however, the light indicator on the dash is on.
My hi beams don’t work. I replaced the fuse and the bulbs and still nothing. It shows the indicator on the dash when I switch to hi beams but the function itself doesn’t work.
Both high beams suddenly went out and are no longer working. Regular headlights are working though. This is a safety concern.
Hi beams stopped working.
High beam headlights will not turn on.
Purchased my Telluride as a certified preowned a few days ago. Tonight, I noticed that the headlight high beams aren't working correctly. The driver's side high beams work correctly when turned on, however the high beams on the passenger side will not turn on. I attached a video.
High beams stopped working, although the dash light indicates they are on. No change in light intensity from low to high beam.
High beam headlights completely stopped working while driving at night on an unfamiliar road during a road trip. They both stopped at the same time and have not worked since and they are not burnt out.
I have a kia Telluride 2020 that was certified pre-owned and had past the safety inspection. After a few minutes of using the hi-beams, they shut off and reverted to low-beams. The dashboard icon still showed the hi-beams we're on but they were not. They have continued to not engage.
The high beams no longer work at all. The blue indicator light on the dash will appear, but the high beams are not working. The low beams work just fine as well as the daytime running lights. Bulb replacement did not fix the issue. It is a major safety concern not having access to high beams.
High beam lights failed to come on. After trying to engage the hb the instrument cluster would show hb on but they were not on. I often drive on dark, winding country roads inhabited by deer and other animals and need these lights to see ahead and control the vehicle. I am attempting to get an appointment at the nearest kia dealer.
Both high-beam headlights stopped working simultaneously, creating a safety concern.
Complete loss of high beams during vehicle operation. This problem is intermittent. This has caused reduced visibility and can increase risk of a crash resulting in injury and or property damage. Kia has knowledge of the problem and has sent me a letter that extended the warranty to 15 years/ 150,000 miles. It is very difficult to get the headlights replaced under warranty because of the intermittent problem and for this there should be a complete recall of the defective headlights. Increasing the warranty doesn't fix the problem because they are defective. I believe kia is increasing the warranty to avoid a recall. Please issue a recall before there is injury.
Switching from low to high beam does not operate. Vehicle no longer allows high beams.
This started in July/August. I went in to get into my car and noticed that although my car was making the sound of unlocking, it wasn’t unlocking. Neither the key fob or pressing the button on the door handle would unlock my car. I manually used the key to get in. Once I got in, I had a rear collision warning on my dash and was unable to shift from park. I overrode the shift mechanism and took it to a mechanic. They hooked it up to a reader and was tracking down the error when all of sudden the error code disappeared, and they were unable to progress. I left there and drove to work without issues. Two days later (Saturday) it happened again. I disconnected the negative battery cable and waited a few minutes before I hooked it back up. It was fine for about a month and then it started happening again. This time I tried the battery cable again and it worked for a while, but it started to happen more regularly. I took it to a kia dealer but they were unable to replicate it. They said if it happens again record it and send a the video. Two days later it happened, and I sent them a video. I took my car back to the dealer and it has been there 11/9. In between visits, it happened, and I overrode the shift mechanism and I noticed my dash lights were almost out as well as the other issues. I believe I know what the issue is. I noticed this only happens when it’s cool in the early morning and then, when the sun comes up, there is an abundance of moisture on the inside windshield. I believe that heavy moisture is shorting out the electronics in my dash. I’ve never had an issue when it rains or midday. It’s probably why this has been so noticeable in the fall early winter. We have lots of mornings in the 30’s and they quickly warm up when the sun comes out. I have read some online forums that talk about the condensation issue with the kia Telluride. I haven’t found any that talks about the electronic issue however.
My high beams just stopped working.
The contact's husband owns a 2020 kia Telluride. The contact stated while driving 70 mph, the high beam headlights became inoperable. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure had been occurring intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer several times, but the dealer could not duplicate the failure. The vehicle was taken to a second dealer, fred anderson kia of greenville (2424 laurens rd, greenville, SC 29607) where the high beam fuse and bolts were inspected, but the cause of the failure could not be determined. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 44,000.
I live in the desert where there isn't any light at night. I was driving home as usual and my highbeams would not turn on. I couldn't see very well because it was so dark and had to go really slow and way under the speed limit. I was so nervous due to the lack of visibility. It put myself and my young kids in danger. I don't feel safe driving at night now. There was no warning indication on the dash. It shows the blue highbeam light when I turn them on, but they don't actually go on.
The high beam headlights have stopped working out of the blue. The standard headlights are working. I live in dark rural area and rely on these high beams for night driving. Wondering in there is going to be a recall to repair this issue.
High beam lights do not work. It shows them on but they never turn on. We found out driving on a mountain road in nm that had no street lights. We had to slow down to 10 miles an hour because it was so dark and we couldn't see. It was scary and dangerous. We wouldn't have been able to react in time if a deer or other animal ran into the street. We looked it up and saw it was a known problem. We checked it numerous times, and it never worked. The driver's side window won't close all the way. It has a 1/2 in gap. The only way to get it to stay closed when we are not in the car is to hold the window lever up, turn off the car, and open the door. However, as soon as you start the vehicle, it drops down again. It also doesn't open all the way when you click the down level. It stops about a 1/2 inch left showing. This causes a lot of road noise that is very distracting and makes the safety features difficult to hear. The wire that holds and lowers the spare tire down won't go back up. We had to remove it because it would drag on the ground. We are unable to carry the spare, so we are at risk if we have a flat. We have not had any of these issues evaluated by the dealership. However, we do plan to.
Over the past few days, I have noticed a complete failure of the high beam functionality in my vehicle. Whenever I attempt to engage the high beams, there is no response or illumination. This issue persists regardless of the driving conditions or the operation of other lighting features, such as the low beams, turn signals. The inability to utilize high beams while driving at night significantly compromises visibility, thereby increasing the risk of collisions, particularly with animals that may suddenly appear on the roadway. This issue not only endangers my own safety but also jeopardizes the lives of pedestrians, other motorists, and the innocent wildlife that inhabit our surroundings.
The high beams suddenly stop working without any prior indication. Although the dashboard indicates that the high beams are on, they are not functioning. Conversely, the low beams continue to work properly. No warning lights are illuminated, and despite attempting to resolve the issue by replacing the bulbs, it remains unresolved.
The high beams are not working, since the low beams work there is no reason to change bulb as it only has one. It appears that the shutter is not working.
My high beams on the headlights have ceased to work. Low beams not casting enough distance for save sight ahead. It appears to be working on the display when switching to high beam but neither headlight is changing.
The contact owns a 2020 kia Telluride. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at an undisclosed speed, the high beam headlights were inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was determined that the headlight assemblies needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 102,981.
The high beams have went out without warning. Driving at night with only low beams can be very dangerous. I live in a rural community so not being able to see potential wild animals in the road is dangerous for me and my family. It has also not been fixed my replacing the lights.
High beams do not work.
The high beam lights failed to turn on and will not turn on at all. .
The high beams on the vehicle are non functional and are an essential component of the vehicle for safety reasons. Any person driving the highway at night or that lives in a rural low light area will find it impossible to drive the vehicle safely. A mechanic has attempted to identify the problem and was unable. The vehicle does not display any codes of a mal function even after running a diagnostic. What recourse is left?.
My high beams have all of a sudden stopped working. The light on the dash indicates that they are on, but they don't work at all. This poses a safety issue when driving the vehicle at night. I have an appointment with my dealer to have the problem looked at and hopefully fixed, although I have been seeing that there are many issues with the high beams on this model.
High beam headlights stopped working. Took to the dealer and they stated the curtain that goes from low to high is malfunctioning and must have new headlight assembly for driver and passenger sides.
I was traveling with my family and while driving on a dark road, I turned in my high beam lights on, but nothing happened. I tried several times but they still did not work. Just a few weeks ago there were working. I do not have any indications on my dashboard of any issues. I do use the kia app and the last healthy alert indicated no issues. I did a little research online and found a forum with other kia customers having the same issue. Because of this, I decided to make an appointment with the dealership and file a complaint to assure this issue gets resolved in a timely manner.
As I was driving home down country roads my bright lights went out. I now only have regular headlights and no one has indicate they know how to fix the problem. This is a huge safety concern as I need them especially driving down dark country roads. I now have to drive another vehicle at night bc you cannot see.
