Air Bag problem #1

The "spiral cassette" on my 2000 Land Rover discovery has failed three times (about every 30,000 miles or two years). When this happens, the srs light comes on and I have been told that my airbag srs is not functional. I have had it replaced and not "tested" the air bag. It has now failed again. This seems to be a defective design or consistently defective manufacturing which leads to failure of a vital safety system. I would like you to investigate to determine the extent of this problem and whether or not a recall is necessary. I believe the part is "yrc100350 rotary cassette".

Air Bag Not Deploy problem #2

Vehicle struck a Chevrolet astro head on traveling at approx. 35 mph. The driver and passenger air bags did not deploy, and the seat belts did not lock. Driver suffered hand and foot injuries. The front passenger was thrown forward fracturing the left eye orbit on the rear view mirror. The middle back passenger was flung forward and thrown back, causing a shoulder injury, the second back seat passenger was in a car seat and suffered from just the force of the impact. **dimsii ivoq entry posted after 12/12/02 cut-over to artemis****760757.
