I bought the 2008 Land Rover Lr2 3 years ago and since then I've had to replace the motor transmission hoses tons of modules starter alternator and three batteries in the past year if that's not worse or bad enough I've spent $8,000 and I only paid five forts but the biggest problem now that I'm facing is the battery has gone or the vehicle is going into what's called a crash mode because the battery has a parasitic drain that Land Rover knows about and is a bulletin about but they will not cover or fix or give me any help whatsoever that I've called numerous times to wear the battery drops to certain below a certain voltage and will not communicate with the bcm control module so until then I have to get a software update that's going to cost about $400 in the closest Land Rover dealership is 2 hours away which is going to be another $500 to have it towed there I put three batteries in this vehicle and all three batteries have been drained immediately and there's a software update that they know about and they're admitting in a bulletin but they will not fix or cover and I'm at my wits and I put $8,000 in this vehicle and it's been on the road 4 months in the past 3 years and I have documentation paperwork for all the amount of fixes I've had done to it to prove my purchases my batteries and everything all I'm trying to do is get this software update done on my vehicle so that I can try and sell it or get it back on the road because I have not been able to drive it for 3 years and I've had to call six tow trucks in the amount of 3 years which cost me on $200 a pop and I'm at my wit's end on what to do from here because I can't get any answers or help from Land Rover they tell me they're not responsible and keep passing the book off to someone else and then I finally have done the research online for the past year on what the exact problem was cuz everyone else kept telling me it was a bad battery when I knew it wasn't because I've already replaced the battery three.

I had to put a solar panel in my vehicle to help with the vehicle from dying. The vehicle is still dead after three days. I cannot take a trip away for more than 3 days without my vehicle dying.

Continuing to have endless problems of the battery draining for unknown reasons. When the battery drains too low the vehicle then goes into "crash mode" and I have to have it towed and the computer flashed to have the codes reset or else it's not drivable. It's happened on multiple occasions since I have owned the vehicle.

I have 2009 Lr2 with 93k miles on it. I got 130 multi point inspection by the Honda dealer where I bought the car for the humming noise coming from the back. They gave me clean sheet with just 1 tire replacement needed. 1 week later I got the car checked by the Land Rover dealership and was told its my rear differential which will cost north of $3k. I researched and come to know that there many people out there with this large cost problem with Land Rover. . . Why hasn't this been a part of recall??? I don't have $3k+ sitting around to address the problem. Please assist. Thank you.
I bought this car new in 2009 ( was used as a retired loaner for 4 months- had 7000 miles on it when bought) had this for 5 years now, is a low millage at 59000, would only use this to drive to and from work/home, did not ever engage in any off roading at all not once, had only used this terrain response feature maybe few times in the last 2-3 winters ( when we had snow); all the sudden I noticed, a light light saying terrain response system DE-activated. . . I dont remember doing or pushing any buttom prior to the incident, so I brought my vehicle to Land Rover in orland park- they told me that the terrain response system had failed; they could'nt tell me what would cause such problem. The terrain response system is not a wear and tear thing, it is a safety feature that has failed for no apparent reason. I brought up a case to the head office of Land Rover of America and they refuse to look further into this problem, such a disappointment; Land Rover is over-rated, I will never buy another one again.
Airbag and seat belt lights stay lit while driving. Dealer said when both lights are lit airbags will not deploy. $1000. 00 to replace passenger seat cushion because of "faulty" sensor embedded in cushion. Now when I see the lights I turn vehicle off and then back on until I don't see the lights. Strange that a faulty sensor would disable safety features.
I have the Land Rover Lr2 2008 and the engine would shut down. I couldnt get the key out and engine's electronic is not responding. I have to get it towed to the dealership and they couldnt explain the reason. They charged us $1900 on replacing the new electronic board and some fluid leakage on the car. We just got our car back from the dealer three weeks earlier for a thorough check-up and inspections on the car and we also had our brakes changed. They charged us $1400 three weeks ago and now they are charging us again. So frustrating.
Land rover Lr2 - inserted key to start the engine - completely dead except for a strange clicking sound from the engine compartment. The driver display was flickering as if there was a short circuit. Nothing electrical worked at this stage. After about 5 minutes the indicators started blinking all on their own (hazard lights - but very fast). Tried to jump start the vehicle without success. We have the key stuck, vehicle is dead and in park - eventually had to tow to the dealer who is trying to find the cause.
