The infotainment meant system which is the brains of the car is constantly failing to operate properly. The screen freezes leaving inability to control a/c, radio, bluetooth phone, climate, back up cameras. This vehicle has 4500 miles on it and has been in for service 3 times, it is now back at the deal a 4th time. The computer is erratic and constantly needs to updated. There have been 4 updates since I have owned the vehicle which was in Feb 2018. Landrover is fully aware of the issues but refuses to do anything about it. I have tried repurchase and replacement, which was denied and now I have to go to arbitration with the state lemon law. The cars computer is an epic failure and crosses over to most of the 2018 landrovers . These failures happen at any time , they have occurred while stopped at lights, in standstill traffic, when turning the car on, or just when driving. There is always another surprise waiting when I get in my car.

Tl the contact owns a 2006 Range Rover. The contact stated that while driving at 25 mph she saw smoke that came from the passenger side door. In addition when she put the vehicle in gear the side mirrors did not move down or up when she reversed it or went into drive. There were no injuries sustanied and no police report was filed. The vehicle was towed by and unknown company to the dealer. The dealer (Land Rover Range Rover of seattle) diagnosed that the electrical heated windshield had an internal failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 83,581. Jc.
Our new Range Rover is creating a squealing noise from the interior electronics/ac unit. It's similar to letting the air out of an inflated balloon by the spout. The pitch goes higher, lower, and all over like you are moving your hands when trying to make the balloon squeal. Our vehicle is now 3 months old, and has spent 2. 5 months in service. After recently getting our car back, the sound came back right away. The service dept. Is clueless, and already had put over 200 miles on our car "testing it in real world conditions. " every dealership sales & service managers, including general manager of dealer here is hardly helping and clueless. This is from Range Rover newport beach, CA. Now this sound is worse, and makes you want to smash your head through the window; it's basically sound torture. Our windshield wipers have also never worked, which is extremely dangerous. However: 1) when the windshield wipers are set to on, 2) and the vehicle is in reverse, 3) then the rear window wipers come on for some reason.
The contact owns a 2006 Land Rover Range Rover. When the vehicle was started, all the warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle would not continuously run without all of the indicators illuminating in error. The vehicle was not taken to the local dealer for repairs. The manufacturer was not contacted. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 160,000.
This vehicle was taken back by the manufacturer for electrical issues it was then resold. I just purchased it and it has serious electrical issues. I have owned it a month and it had codes within 48 hours of purchase. System failure codes. The battery is good and is drained every night and every time I go to work. This vechicle is essentially usuless and I just purchased it. It flashes random tire pressure system failure codes when it wants. Just random. It is one thing after another. Luckily nothing super safety related yet. It was manufactured wrong and was never repaired and now I am stuck with a vehicle I can't use after I have made one payment on it.
The first thing that happened was the ac stopped working and replaced the resistor in it twice, the same day it went out a second time the back driver side window fell. The next week I was driving home and was entering the freeway and as I accelerated the vehicle jerked hard and pulled back, and was making a squeaking sound. It corrected but now it keeps doing it. And the brake fluid a week later leaked out and I lost power in my brakes. I am afraid to drive my car!.

Car shipped from florida to pittsburgh. Upon arriving I drove the vehilce on the street and it stopped and had to wait to start again. Vehicle was only able to be driven a mile at a time beofre incident recurred. Abs break late stayed on from the beginning. To start vehilce two wires had to be connected together. Transmission not functionable, starting problem, brake problem and electrical problem. Contacted dealer and dealer denied any problems with the vehicle. I had a mechanic verify all problems noted above two days later. . Relayed the information to the dealership and nothing was resolved.
Takata passenger airbags (recall): sir/MA'am, received a letter via mail from the national highway traffic safety administration (NHTSA), recall #16v-374. Also, it may of affected my vehicle's electrical system since my gps dashboard system no longer works anymore. I would kindly ask someone to reach out to me via cell phone so that I can get my Land Rover repaired as soon as possible. Thanks!.
My vehicle was traveling at 40mph at a straight path on city roads with no obstacles or detour when at an instant the vehicle's drive mode logo on the shift knob began to blink continuously followed by system error code warnings flashing on the entertainment screen and driver screen and full loss of vehicle control. With complete shut down including loss of all electronics electrical power and engine failure thereafter causing the electronic emergency brakes to activate and locking the wheels. At which time the vehicle came to a violent and sudden stop resulting in a load grinding noise coming off the engine bay. The vehicle was unable to start due to no return of any electrical power to the systems electronics including exterior and interior lights. I waited for about 15 minutes before trying to start the vehicle, which took a few tries before power and vehicle engine engaged only to have the same complete vehicle failure and shut down repeated only after 200 yards from the initial failure resulting in tow service having to be called out. Keep in mind this is not the first nor the second recurrence, it has been an ongoing issue for the past few months only to be told that the problem was diagnose and corrected by an authorized Land Rover dealer. Which is far from the truth in regards to the health and safety of this vehicle. To date the cause of continued failure is unknown.

The contact owns a 2006 Land Rover Range Rover. While driving at various speeds, the vehicle independently lowered and rose without the suspension switch being activated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the suspension sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 45,000.
Vehicle battery was being drawn dead inexplicably. Four service visits to dealer revealed nothing other than a silly story from it that the car was not being driven long enough for the battery to recharge. A diagnostic I obtained found a constant 12 volt draw on the battery more reasonably explaining why the 3 batteries were drained dead. . . Dealer had me using a "trickle charge" plugging into an outdoor electric outlet each night which only delayed the inevitable dead battery. I attempted to lemon law unsuccessfully under nys law. . . Read online about the "dead battery club" among owner and thus came here. . .

The vehicle ignition lock is not accepting the key, after removing the ignition fuse the system is re-set and key will start vehicle and unlock steering wheel lock. Took vehicle to Land Rover service center and was told by service advisor that this is a "very common" problem with the model year 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009. The only fix will be a replacement of entire steering column, after each shut off the ignition needs to be reset in order to start the vehicle. This temporary "fix" can result in sudden lock of the steering wheel while driving. So far I had 2 issues that the vehicle started but did not unlock the steering wheel lock.
I wanted to inform you of a very serious issue with 2014 Range Rovers that may either cause an accident or strand someone many miles from civilization! I stopped the vehicle and the rotary shifter would not pop up as it was stuck down and the car was stuck in drive! I had to shut the vehicle off and then it would not shift out of drive so it would not start when the start/stop button was pushed! this is a major safety issue and needs to be addressed ASAP. My car is now at the dealer and they are saying it will be at least 2 weeks to repair.
Start/stop feature shuts the engine down when stopped. Engine restarts upon release of brake pedal. Car lurches forward as engine restarts. This nearly resulted in a pedestrian collision. Pedestrian was crossing against green light. When brake pedal was released, the car lurched forward as engine restarted nearly resulting in unavoidable collision with pedestrian. Start/stop system cannot be permanently disabled.
My 2010 Range Rover suddenly and without any warning stopped functioning on the highway. My dash board went dark and the engine turned off. We completely loss control of the car with a total systems failure. Two accidents were nearly avoided. My car was taken to reeves import motorcars for inspection, investigation and testing to find out what was the cause. Reeves had my car for about 6 days and stated the car was safe to drive and they could not find any reason for the sudden dash board and engine failure. Additionally, on many occasions reeves confirmed that they checked key engine fluid levels including oil and found that the oil level was satisfactory. Reeves provided a Land Rover multi-point inspection report which directly lists the oil fluid level as "ok. " five days after reeves gave us back our car in June, the Range Rover shut down again on a major highway. We towed it to another Land Rover dealership and repair shop two hours away from and this dealership confirmed that my Range Rover only had 3. 5 qts instead of the required 8. 1 qts. This new Land Rover repair shop also confirmed that there were no signs of any oil leaks. We were told the low oil level locked the engine up and now my car needs a new engine. My safety concern is whether an electrical malfunction, including faulty oil warning lights or sensors, caused multiple factory trained technicians to miss the fact that there was a dangerously low oil level. Has this type of engine failure presented in any other Land Rovers or Range Rovers across the country. I am very concerned the electrical and/or engine problem will continue to be hazard on the highway.

When starting the vehicle smoke appeared through the cracks of the dash board. The ignition was turned into the off position and when trying to start it again, it didn't turn, the ignition was locked. Flames then shot through the cracks on the dashboard near the radio. Within seconds the vehicle was engulfed and within 3 minutes it was totaled. Thankfully I got out the car in time.

I got out of the evoque with it running and the door open. When I came walking back the car was going up the road by itself in reverse. It hit a mailbox that stopped it. It could have hit kids that are usually in the area. Lr/rr looked at it for two weeks then told me I must have left it in reverse and got out of the SUV somehow before it moved. They were not going to do anything about it. When I got in the SUV after it hit the mailbox it was still in park. Long story short is lr/rr is doing nothing for us. Now the body shop is telling us the repair parts that I have to pay for will take up to one year to get in. We have been over 60 days and still they have no eta for the parts. What a joke for a company of this size. My wife will never agree to drive this SUV again with this issue. Never buy a rr/lr.
Steering becomes hard regularly, have to resart vehicle to make the power steering reingage. This happens often; sometimes even when driving at hign speed, power steering just goes out.

Hello, I'm the owner of a 2004 Range Rover hse, and I remember from about 2005 I have been complaining to Land Rover of manhattan about a loud noise coming from the front of the car and also once the car hits 60 the handle bar vibrates out of control with each drive feeling worse and worse. I have been trying over the years to explain this to the service department with no help what so ever at all. I kept being told that nothings was wrong with the car and that noise was the engine, I would reply why is that sound so loud. . . I was given another excuse. I purchased my car from Land Rover of manhattan brand new. . . Please help me.
Purchased a 2005 lr3 in 2009 suspension fell in 2010 every since I've had issues with the hcd inactive switch. Hcd inactive was coming on prior to suspension falling and continues to as of 11/11. Abs light and airbag light also turns on anytime throughout the day and shuts off. Before the suspension fell I constantly paid dealer to diagnose and they did not find any problem with the suspension. . Shortly after while I was driving the suspension fell. As of 11/11 my abs, hcd inactive lights keep turning on, the dashboard including radio lights blink on/off. Past two weeks while driving the car slows down and the steering wheel locks in place. Mechanic cannot find electrical issues. Mechanic did find my rear inner tires are bald and dangerous. After reviewing various rr complaints it is beyond my understanding why rr are able to continue to sell $60,000 trucks without any form of legal action. The company and public are aware of the faulty issues, the issues are dangerous and all common suspensions falling, bald inner tires, gas leaks. The question raised are these sites, consumer complaints etc for customers to vent or for action to take place?? 2 years and I'm on my second set of tires!! people are busted for selling fake products such as purses, clothes, but rr is looked over for knowingly manufac. , dangerous vehicles.

: the contact stated after using the keyless entry remote to lock the vehicle doors a child inside the vehicle was unable to exit by manually unlocking the door. The only way the doors would unlock was by using the keyless entry. The dealership determined the reason the doors would not unlock is because of a security feature on the keyless entry.
