The vehicle had been repaired. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA campaign number: 13v607000 (air bags) however, the dealer stated the recall repair was already completed. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 78,000.

2 Warning Light On problem of the 2006 Land Rover Range Rover

Failure Date: 01/11/2011

The contact owns a 2006 Land Rover Range Rover hse. The contact stated that the seat belt warning light would not illuminate when the seat belt was not being utilized. In addition, the air bag warning light would also illuminate intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who informed him that the seatbelt would not operate if there was a crash. To repair the air bag failure, the dealer stated they would have to remove the seats and replace the seat sensors. The manufacturer was contacted who offered no assistance.
