I was driving on the highway during heavy rain and there was a huge leak coming through the window in the backseat started dripping all over the seat and all over the seatbelts spreading above head into the front. I immediately pulled over because it scared me. I was scared it was going to continual leaking into the front steering and airbags.

The side/front airbags wire harness system are in and under the driver/or passenger seat and become disconnected when you move the seats, therefore making it so the side and front airbags won’t work. This is said to be a known issue says the dealership but not covered under any circumstances even though they detailed my car after having for two months trying to fix my brakes with no airbag issues and now I have this airbag light on and issue with my airbags. But it’s also a known safety issue flaw I was told by the manager at the mission viejo CA dealership ! unacceptable!.

Malfunction light is on.
There's problem with the wiring harness under the drivers seat, causing a fault in the airbag sensor, and the airbag warning light to illuminate. If you look online, many owners are having this same isssue. I have had this airbag warning light illuminating off and on my 2018 Range Rover for over 6 months now. When I raise the seat to its highest position and "wiggle" the wire harness, the airbag warning light on the dashboard will extinguish. Thank you google! and the many owners with this problem for spelling out the work around! I had the same problem with my wife's 2015 Range Rover sport (VIN #salwr2tfa602285). Unfortunately, I didn't know the work around and the Range Rover dealership charge me $1500 for a new wiring harness. The danger is the vehicle's airbag may not work in the event of a head on collision. Range rover should be forced to inspect/replace all airbag wiring harnesses under the drivers seat.

I own a 2018 Land Rover Range Rover where the airbag warning light remains illuminated at all times on the dashboard, even when the front passenger seat is empty and no cargo is present on the seat. The warning light for airbag indicatesthat the air bag is not activated and will not work in a collision. The passenger air bag has been inoperable for over 2 years. This issue has persisted for several years, with documented dealer service records dating back to before my warranty expired. The dealer (Land Rover of palm beach) diagnosed it as resulting from the front passenger seat movement causing detachment or strain on the wiring harness/connector for the occupant classification system (OCS), which detects passenger presence and controls airbag deployment. The passenger seat air bag sensor or wiring harness is defective and needs replacement for the passenger side air bag to function. They said that all 2018 Range Rover air bag harnesses are too short and are prone to being detached by seat movements / adjustments. They have repeatedly reset the light and reconnected the harness, but the warning recurs shortly after, indicating an unresolved design or manufacturing defect in the under-seat wiring that is prone to failure from normal seat adjustments. This prevents reliable operation of the passenger frontal airbag, posing a serious safety risk as it may fail to deploy (or deploy improperly) in a crash, endangering occupants. The dealer refuses to install a new larger harness or provide a permanent fix, despite this being a known recurring problem reported by other owners of similar l405 Range Rover models. They say that Land Rover corporate is not providing a newer replacement harness and is not paying for the repairs despite this being a serious safety issue. I request NHTSA investigation into this potential widespread defect to determine if a recall or safety action is warranted. This may be the same problem as reported in NHTSA campaign # 11500093 & 11693335.
A lot wrong with vehicle I could only choose 3 problems which is difficult.

The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and informed the contact that there was no dealer in alaska to repair the vehicle; therefore, the vehicle would have to be taken to seattle. The contact was referred to an independent mechanic who had been repairing Range Rovers in alaska. However, due to the manufacturer not reimbursing the independent mechanic for repairs performed in the past, the contact was denied repairs. The contact had not experienced a failure. Brought my car for an urgent airbag safety recall matter solicited by Land Rover and the NHTSA described as a matter that "can cause serious injury or death". Scheduled appointment two weeks in advance and was assured orally and in writing that "if required (the business will) provide a loaner vehicle for free". I arrived on time to my appointment and was told that no loaners are available. I have scheduled several appointments for today basing on the fact that I will have a vehicle, I took time off from work and I invested time and money to drive to solon for the safety recall appointment. I would like to receive a written apology from mr ralph lombardi or whoever scheduled this appointment and wasted my time and money. And I would like to know how is this matter going to be remedied. Is there compensation for my aggravation? is there a consequence for this unprofessional business practice?.

Takata recall.
I had contacted Land Rover before the recall concerned that the issue was the takata airbag and the constant amber message. I was constantly told there was no recall and that I should not be concerned. I am even more frustrated Land Rover has not had the courtesy to reach out, apologize, and promptly fix this issue. For the amount of money that people spend on these vehicles you would expect some decency. I am putting everyone that is a passenger in my car at risk every one more day Land Rover takes to respond.
Takata recall. Local dealer, Jaguar Land Rover dallas, makes it difficult to impossible to get the recall performed in a reasonable time. Three attempts. Last one, 5 weeks until appointment, then after having the vehicle eleven days, the work was not done.
Front dash has cracked all the way across. I am so afraid that this will affect the airbag and cause it to deploy prematurely.

Takata recall. This has been in effect since last summer. Range rover has not made any attempt to remedy problem and I am driving around everyday with an eminent danger to me and my family. I have made numerous calls to dealership as well as Range Rover headquarters in NJ to no avail. I was treated rudely at the headquarters and told that there was nothing that could be done and no promise of remedy in the future. I think this is outrageous and should require your attention. I will take this to the media if I do not receive some kind of action.
