1 Body problem of the 2010 Land Rover Range Rover Sport

Failure Date: 04/17/2026

Previous recall repair on rear spoiler falling off did not work and it is falling off again. Dealer and manufacturer will not re-repair the manufacturers defect nor their work, leaving the hazard unaddressed. Sees below. Nhtsa, please be advised that Jaguar Land Rover north America is not adhering to the required national highway traffic safety administration’s official recall, 21v635000, where the rear spoiler falls off due to a manufacturers design defect and potentially can cause a serious accident, injury or even a fatality at highway speeds. The vehicle was previously fixed under recall, but that fix failed. VIN: [xxx] I have been advised by the owner/manager of Land Rover of the treasure coast that it is more important that they get reimbursed prior to fixing the defect, despite the safety of others on the road. This needs to be investigated. My concerns are: 1. Did Jaguar Land Rover (jlr) hoodwink NHTSA into a cheap, non-lasting fix just to satisfy the liability and recall requirement? if so, NHTSA should reissue another recall to recheck the previous recall to verify the fix was adequate and either do it again or develop another solution, bringing those affected vehicles in again for additional work. This is especially true since jd power and other reputable car statistical reviews consistently rate this brand towards the bottom of reliability and repair costs. This historical point demonstrates why the NHTSA should not trust jlr. 2. How important is public safety? if a safety recall was important enough to be issued in the first place, how is it that a follow up repair for the same recall isn’t addressed? why isn’t there a readily available avenue for reporting this shortcoming on the NHTSA website. Can anyone explain how if a safety recall campaign was important enough to be issued in the first place, why is it not if the same issue fails again, or if the approved resolution was inadequate? document exceeded allowable space- information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information.

2 Body problem of the 2010 Land Rover Range Rover Sport

Failure Date: 04/12/2026

Vehicle: 2010 Land Rover Range Rover Sport VIN: [xxx] issue: a safety recall repair previously performed on my vehicle has failed, recreating the original safety hazard the recall was intended to fix. Details: my vehicle was subject to a recall involving [rear spoiler detachment risk]. The recall repair was “performed “ without proof by Land Rover of cincinnati in Aug 2023. As of April 2025, the same issue has reoccurred. Specifically: the spoiler detached while driving on interstate 75. (this spoiler never detached before they “fixed” it. - this created a serious safety hazard coming undone in the highway. It actually got a semi trucks front number as he crushed over it. . ,the semi driver did not stop to report it though. Concern: this indicates the recall remedy may have been improperly performed or is ineffective. I am being told I must pay out of pocket $6500 to fix an issue that should have been resolved under a federally mandated safety recall. Request: I am requesting investigation into: 1) whether the recall repair procedure is adequate 2) whether this repair was properly completed 3) whether other vehicles may be affected by failed recall remedies dealer: Land Rover location: cincinnati OH information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

4 Body problem of the 2014 Land Rover Range Rover Sport

Failure Date: 04/05/2026

On easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, while my wife and daughter were driving in downtown [xxx] , the front passenger door spontaneously opened at [xxx] while the vehicle was in motion. This occurred despite the door being properly closed and latched. Fortunately, my daughter was wearing her seatbelt and was not injured, but this incident created a terrifying and life-threatening situation. Due to the dealerships being closed, I was forced to secure the door with ties to safely transport my family back to [xxx] . On April 7th, 2026, I dropped the car off at the dealer for repair of the safety recall. Most concerning is that my vehicle was in the care of the richfield Land Rover dealership in March 19th, 2025 for several days for an engine oil leak repair totaling $6,718. At no point during this multi-day service was I notified of the open safety recall, nor was the remedy performed. When I confronted the service department today (April 7, 2026), I was told their "computer must have been down. " information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

8 Body problem of the 2014 Land Rover Range Rover Sport

Failure Date: 08/12/2025

I purchased a 2014 Land Rover Range Rover Sport (VIN: [xxx] ) from autonation USA wesley chapel on may 17, 2025. Shortly after purchase, the driver-side door latch recall issue manifested when the door unexpectedly opened while the vehicle was traveling at highway speed. The incident was documented at the time it occurred. The vehicle was later serviced by autonation on August 26, 2025, where they stated the latch had been addressed. However, the NHTSA recall database still shows manufacturer recall n975 as incomplete for this VIN. This raises concern that the recall repair may not have been properly performed or reported, or that the vehicle was sold with an open safety recall that should have been identified and remedied prior to sale. Given that the driver-side door latch failure occurred while the vehicle was in motion shortly after purchasing the vehicle from autonation USA wesley chapel, which represented that a comprehensive multi-point inspection had been completed prior to sale, I am submitting this report as a safety concern regarding recall compliance, inspection practices, and repair documentation associated with this vehicle. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

9 Body problem of the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Sport

Failure Date: 07/14/2025

I am reporting a significant safety issue related to my 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Sport involving sunroof water intrusion that has caused serious electrical failures throughout the vehicle. Shortly after owning the vehicle, I began to notice water leaking from the sunroof area, which has now caused malfunctions in the electrical system. These include: •unresponsive or erratic infotainment and dashboard displays •malfunctioning electronic safety features •water pooling near or inside the footwell •warning lights and errors on the instrument panel •intermittent failure of lights, power seats, and other electronic systems this defect poses a safety hazard because electrical components exposed to water may fail while the vehicle is in operation, possibly leading to loss of vehicle control, disabled safety systems (e. G. , airbags or brakes), or electrical shorts that could result in a fire. Upon researching, I discovered that this is a known issue in multiple Land Rover and range rover models, including technical service bulletins (tsbs) issued in prior years. It appears to stem from poor drainage design or faulty sunroof seals, and the location of sensitive electronic modules beneath areas prone to leaks. I am requesting that the NHTSA investigate this issue to determine whether it qualifies for a recall, and to ensure Land Rover is held accountable for resolving what appears to be a widespread and dangerous design flaw. Please contact me for additional documentation, photos, or repair records. I am currently working with a dealership, and I may pursue action under new jersey’s lemon law if this is not resolved.

Failure Date: 10/01/2024

My car has manufacturer defect / crack on steering knuckle. There has been recall in uk and canada. Why not in states? driving with crack / defect in steering knuckle is extremely dangerous. 11 Body problem of the 2009 Land Rover Range Rover Sport

Failure Date: 01/28/2024

There are known areas around the a pillar, windshield, and sunroof that leak and allow water to enter the vehicle and pool up in the wiring channels next to the doors, the water causes shorts and corrosion in the wiring which causes faults (check engine, etc) that the owner is forced to attempt to correct on their own. There are numerous videos made by Land Rover owners over the last 15 years showing the common areas where water enters the vehicle. The average owner is not mechanical inclined and will not pull apart their vehicle to search for places where water is entering. Land rover knows about this issue and does nothing but charge their customers many hours of labor at the dealership to investigate. The water damage to the wiring has and will cause issues with the vehicle that the average person will or must go to the dealership to attempt a repair.

18 Body problem of the 2015 Land Rover Range Rover Sport

Failure Date: 08/01/2022

Rear driver side door opened while the vehicle was in motion. The original recall of this issue was reportedly completed in 2016 (this was prior to me owning the vehicle). The same door now has issues unlocking. The safety concern is the potential of my child in the backseat having an open door while the car is driving or being unable to open the door to get my child out of the car in an emergency. The problem of unlatching while in motion was part of previous recall and my local dealership confirmed the vehicle underwent the recall and correction on 02/25/2016. No warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms were identified prior to the issue. The door unlatching while in motion occurred one time in the summer of 2022. The inability to unlock and open the same door occurs several times per week without a known consistent pattern of when it may occur. This began in approximately November of 2022 and continues to occur.

20 Body problem of the 2014 Land Rover Range Rover Sport

Failure Date: 04/04/2022

The passenger front door opened by itself while the vehicle was moving. Speed was fairly slow 20-25kmphs an hour. The door almost struck another car in the right lane. The door locks were engaged and no light or warning was on the dash. I pulled over and closed the door and it closed as normal. Not sure what part of the door failed and caused it to open but I’m assuming the door latch? I called the dealership but they were closed. Will call them again but seems like a very serious issue that should be addressed by Land Rover. I could of struck another car, pedestrian or a cyclist. The door fully swung open. My vehicle is available to be inspected anytime. I have not made a insurance or police report etc.
