My 2014 Lexus is 250 currently does not have working locks. I had previously owned a 2010 Lexus is 250 with issues with the locks. The actuator was changed and the car works for a minimal amount of time and then the actuator stops working again. It is very expensive to fix and the dealership wants $555 dollars to replace it per door. Currently no locks on my 2014 Lexus work. The dealership wants over $2,200 dollars to replace the actuators. This is a safety issue. If my son were to unlock his door in the back and someone were to try to open his door I could not lock it to protect him. If I'm on the wrong side of town and someone tries to get in on the opposite side of my car where I cannot reach the lock, I'm in danger. This is a danger issue and a known issue for Lexus, a recall needs to be done. We payed a lot of money for our cars and expect to at least be safe with locks.

Suspension, control arms, shocks, axels, etc. Aren't strong enough to hold the weight of the car, making the tires have a negative offset and cause extreme amounts of wear on far inside of the tire. The navigational screen conintues to shut off and then turn back on while driving. I find this a concern because it happens when I reverse as well.
Solenoids in my car is causing my car to go into limp mode due to the fact that Lexus states transmission fluid never needs to be changed is now having me buying a new transmission because the solenoids are bad and is stuck in 3rd gear.

I was inform by other Lexus that there are recall for 2006-2013 Lexus on serveral parts. I made a call to Lexus dealership of sacramento and spoke to representative she had also confirm the recal on my car and booked me an appointment several days later. I went to my appointment and was denied my services, they told me it had expired and that I had to pay for all my repairs. I was never notified about any recalls. I feel like I was rip off for being 17years old kid. I felt cheated.
I have bought this car 3 weeks ago and it was 75k mile and originally had 151k miles according to the report off the Lexus website.

Cars, com has an article that there were issues with the Lexus Is250-350 display screen and Lexus dealership will replace the damaged anti-reflective coating so the display screen will work. I purchased the car last year and my screen is blank. This issue started yesterday and I want to know if other model vehicles are having the same issue. Again, it is the display audio screen with back up camera. TSB-no sb0002-16.

When locking car with remote, the gas door pops open. This is the 2nd is 250 2014 that did this.
Check vsc light. Car will not shift properly past 3rd gear. . Solenoid or bad transmission.
Purchased car a year ago noticed that when it gets really hot the dash board and the door panels comes off if scraped with finger nails and the dash is very sticky.
Takata recall , sticky dash board and door panels the sticky dashboard is causing lots of glare that is a safety concern and fumes.
The "vsc" warning light has been coming on and staying on since November 2017. I have read that many Lexus is 250 cars are having the same issue. The car seems to be driving fine for now but there has to be a reason for the warning light. If so many other cars have this issue, I'm wondering if it's a manufacture error?? the warning lights comes on as soon as the engine starts and it does not go out.
I was driving in heavy traffic (stop and go); I was fully stopped with my foot on the brake - I eased off the brake to slowly roll forward - absolutely did not place my foot on or anywhere near the gas pedal - as I eased off brake, I felt a strong "surge" from the front of the car- the car accelerated and I slammed in to a truck that was directly in front of me- I looked at the dashboard as this was happening and the "check engine" light and the "traction" light were both on - I tried to brake but the brake pedal was hard - I was stopped due to the impact of hitting the truck-- I am attaching the edr report as retrieved by a company Lexus contracts with.

My vehicle is one of the models affected by the sticky melting dashboard issue made known to the public a few years ago. When driving during the day, sunlight creates a blinding reflection onto the windshieldmaking it impossible to see what's in front of you. This problem almost resulted in an auto accident for me two weeks ago while driving through an intersection.
Camshaft gear gone bad at only 85,000 and Lexus is aware of and does nothing to do a recall. This is a 3000,00 fix.
My dashboard is really sticky, I bought me the sun shade to cover it from the sun but it still gets sticky. Some of it got on the sun shade.

Hi I have a 07 Is250 sedan the front dash get really sticky during the summer when you park your car out side in the sun. During the winter or raining season its dry and peels. My problem is when hot the dashboard get sticky like glue.
Takata recall. My light airbag light is turned on and will not go away from dashboard. The door paneling is falling apart just by normal use.
On July 6th 2017 at about 4:15 pm I was heading to work. After about 500 feet. Before entering a three way intersection, I released the gas pedal to stop accelerating and cruise to prepare to brake in order to make the left turn. But suddenly the gas pedal accelerated by itself and caused my car to keep accelerating straight towards the side walk intersecting with my direction. I turned my wheel left and braked hard even activating the anti braking system. I also had to use the emergency brake to assist in stopping the car. It took about 150 feet after the left turn before I fully stopped. Even after stopping I was was not able to turn off the engine immediately. I kept pressing on the push start button for a few minutes before the engine finally turned off. The incident reminded me about the gas pedal lock up situation years ago with Toyota. After calming down from the fear and shaking I tried to turn on the engine to see if it would operate normally. After verifying that everything was back to normally. I cautiously and carefully drove it back to my house. I did not use the car for a week and then had it towed to Lexus dealership for inspection. The inspection took one week. They said that they could not find anything wrong with the car. They also test drove the car for less than 10 miles. I was not satisfied with the answer so I contacted Lexus headquarters again to request a third party inspection. They refused because the car was not involved in an accident with another car. They also advised me to keep driving the car because they said they put a lot of trust in their auto-mechanics. However after all this I still have a lot of fear to drive the car but I don't have any other choice. Now I only use this car to go to work and have to always be extremely cautious when driving it due to fear of this incident repeating itself.
Lexus is 250 dashboard is melting. Very sticky substance, bright sun and headlights cause dangerous glare on windshield. Compromises the effectiveness of the airbags in the case that they would need to deploy. Lexus refuses to fix the issue as well as Toyota. The melting dash also emits a odor when in the direct sunlight and actively melting, that gives a headache. The "safeness" of my vehicle is now extremely compromised as well as the value.
Toyota and Lexus v6 cold start engine rattle 2gr/3gr/4gr previousnext Toyota and Lexus v6 cold start engine rattle 2gr/3gr/4gr the first cold start of the morning some Toyota and Lexus v6 owners, especially those who have the 2. 5l or 3. 5l v6, notice a loud rattle the first few seconds after startup. The noise disappears after the car builds oil pressure. The most common cause is the variable valve timing camshaft gear assembly leaking down oil pressure as it sits. What is this part and what should you do if you experience these symptoms? the variable valve timing system allows the engine to benefit from timing that can change as the engine dictates it's like having many different styles of camshaft at the ready. At a steady freeway cruising speed? the variable valve timing acts like an exhaust gas recirculation system, helping to reduce engine emissions. Going for a spirited drive? the timing ramps itself up, aggressively advancing the intake cam to help speed air and fuel into the cylinders to give you the most powerful combustion it can muster. Both intake and both exhaust camshafts are independently controlled by individual valves that flow oil into and out of the camshaft gears, advancing and retarding the camshaft's timing as dictated by the engine's computer. Oil pressure is used to move internal phasers in the cam gears, allowing them infinite variations of position. Below is a photo of a variable camshaft gear opened vvt timing gear Lexus is 250 2006 has the same issue how come there is no recall.
Strong gas smell inside car. Driving idiling at a stand stilland while car is then turned off after running also another problem related or not but showing up at the same time was a bad odor not the smell of gas but the smell of rotten eggs is present after the car excellerates the smell is strong and pungent inside vehicle also.
My dashboard of my 2009 Lexus is 250 is melting and causing a significant glare on my windshield when I'm driving the vehicle. It is progressively getting worse. Concern for visibility through the windshield as the dashboard continues to melt. The glare is worse depending on the time of day and direction I'm heading. There was a recall for this issue but only went up to 2008 models. Recall should have include 2009 models as well.
A latent defect in the dashboard and side door panels melt or degrade upon prolonged exposure resulting in a sticky, reflective goo that reduces visibility. The increased glare has become a safety issue. Lexus has refused my claim and will not repair my vehicle.
Sticky dash and door panels.
Sticky dash and door panels. Glare from the dash is dangerous.
I have a Lexus is 250 2007, the dashboard material is low grade and unsafe, for visibility while driving in day hours. When I was notified by a friend that the Lexus organization have made a recall on the all the Lexus cars such as mine, I called the dealership in my city houston TX and they did not help me, and they said the recall don't exist.
Dash has started to get stickey and shiney which reflects off the windshield making it impossible to see the road in front of the automobile , this is especially dangerious in sunlight or bright streetlight this condition has progressively worse over time!.
I have been experiencing this issue since I bought the car, Lexus keeps telling me that my engine is fine and they have tested it etc, however it comes to a dead stop and won't go I keep pressing the gas but it hesitates really bad close to be hit by oncoming cars on a daily basis.
Takata recall dont know exactly but feel very unsafe, scare when sitting at front passenger seat in every time the car turns.
The panel that covers the driver side front air bag pops off repeatedly. Car has been back to the Lexus dealer (bredemann of glenview, IL) at least a half-dozen times without a satisfactory fix. While this appears to be a cosmetic problem, my concern is there is a deeper issue that could affect the air bag as well and I do not want to be driving the car when the air bag suddenly pops. Bredemann Lexus has been unable to solve the problem and the general manager of the dealership has not returned a phone call. The date listed below is merely the last time the car was in for service which failed to fix the problem.
