Assist Problems of Lexus RX

When in cruise, the car will merge itself into the next lane if you hold the turn signal partially. If you keep holding it or fully engage the turn signal (maybe you forgot to turn off you signal, or held it too long), the car will merge through the solid white line off the road into a ditch. This happened to me once, and I noticed it trying several other times.

When driving Lexus 2023 Rxh with all safety except lane assist features, it suddenly veers to the right under specific conditions below - have enabled proactive driving assist - the car is travelling on a straight road, and has line markings (yellow left side, white right side) - there is a right turn to the side of the road, and the white shoulder markings taper off and merge to the side of the road (where there is a right turn) the car suddenly veers right and follows the white shoulder marking ignoring the yellow central line and the straight road. Seems very dangerous. Note that lane keeping assistance is disabled (but I checked it since it needs something checked), adaptive cruise contro is not engaged (inner road), but other options are all enabled, including Lexus feature called proactivedriving assist. This is happening especially after the June 2024 firmware upgrade (or after dealer service).

The car comes with proactive driver assist. The system when activated will cause the car to unexpectedly turn the wheel and lunge usually left if the system suspects you are going off of track. It works even on unmarked 2 lane country roads. Very disconcerting and dangerous. My wife was then subsequently in a serious accident on a slippery and snowy night that totaled the car. We are not convinced that the proactive driver assist system was the cause of the accident but can't help but think it may have been a contributing factor to the accident. Her car swerved into the oncoming lane on a unmarked (snow covered) highway.

The Lexus emblem where the front facing camera is located along with other sensors is causing malfunction and warning lights in the instrument gauge cluster. Then the check engine, check battery, 4wd malfunction, 2wd engaged, high temp coolant, abs light, coolant gauge erratically fluctuates, rpm gauge stays at zero. Please pull over to a safe location and contact your dealer. The messages above are generated periodically. Please note and inform Lexus of the issues.
