1 Brakes Failed problem of the 2007 Lexus RX

Failure Date: 11/14/2020

Brake actuator failure has been added to a bulletin for extended warranty and not a recall. This is a costly malfunction that Toyota is aware of and they should take care of all vehicles as not to compromise braking and accident avoidance.

2 Brakes Failed problem of the 2008 Lexus RX

Failure Date: 12/20/2019

2008 Lexus Rx400h: all warning lights and buzzer came on unexpectedly. Brake lost integrity, have to press harder on brakes for them to work. Does not feel safe to drive as I do not want to injure or kill anyone. Ran diagnostic and error codes c1256 and c1365 came up. These codes point to the brake accumulator failure. Repair is quoted at $3200 by Toyota dealer. After researching this is a very common safety issues with Toyota vehicles. My brothers prius has the same issue. I found out there was possible a recall/extended warranty but it has ended a few months ago. I do not know why this is not a standing safety recall as it is extremely dangerous. From my research and reports from personal acquaintances it is very apparent that is an ongoing issue. I can not drive my vehicle or justify spending $3200 fixing a know safety defect.

3 Brakes Failed problem of the 2010 Lexus RX

Failure Date: 09/30/2018

On September 30, 2018, about 7:00pm, driving slowly in a neighborhood, slowed even more to go over a speed bump, a light came on. Seconds later, when I went to brake to slow for a turn, there were no brakes. I had to push to the floor and the car barely slowed. My wife was in the car. Diagnosed as brake actuator and motor assist failure. Internet search revealed Lexus/Toyota has known this serious problem for many years of cars. A secondary warranty enhancement had been issued to dealers. Lexus won't honor it based on customer loyalty (our first Lexus). They didn't effectively warn and won't fix it. Brakes are as serious as it gets. There are thousands of cars out there like ticking bombs that could have brake failure at high speed or when a child is crossing the street. It's reprehensible that they won't fix it. Unforgivable that they won't issue a recall. Why? because the parts alone are $4,500 and our lives are worth less than that. Please do something. Reporting and asking because not if, but when, lives are lost due to cost of doing business I've done my part to make a record for the class action lawsuit. Shame on Lexus/Toyota.
