My dashboard is terribly cracked and it's very shiny. It's difficult to see when driving on the sun.

My dashboard has a serious cracking issue. It is also sticking and is melting caused by heat. I was never notified that there was a recall and replacement on the dashboard. Once I researched the dashboard issue online I contacted Lexus on June 01, 2017. The told me that since it was not a safety issue and it was only cosmetic issue that by law they did not have to notify me. I think this is very unfair.

My car is used to drop off and pick up children from school and grocery shopping, and it has never been in an accident; however, one day I had just got in the car and started it up (my adult son was in passenger seat) and the air bag light came on my dash and the passenger air bag light shows it is not on. My son weighs almost 200 pounds. We even had him get out of the car and sit back down again, thinking the seat didn't register for some reason, but nothing changed. This is a serious safety issue, as if ever involved in a crash, the airbag will not deploy to protect any passenger sitting in the front seat. Also, the dash of my car is cracking and huge spider web cracks have now begun to take over the dash on both passenger and driver side.
