6 Headlights problem of the 2008 Lexus RX350

Failure Date: 05/22/2015

The drivers side headlight, has consistently filled up with water, via washing the car, raining, etc. , causing it to fog up. This is ridiculous, and to go get it fixed, they want an arm and a let, the car is in beautiful condition, why not honor this by fixing it, you've had other complaints! my daughter just purchased a 2015, this is our 3rd Lexus, we love the cars, now why don't you fix what is wrong, I can't go around with a headlight that is not damaged and I've been told by Lexus, "ah yes, we've had complaints but that's the way it goes?", keep it up, I'll buy a different car next time! and so will family members!.

7 Headlights problem of the 2008 Lexus RX350

Failure Date: 08/17/2014

My headlights kept going of and on at certain points, now at night I have no low beam, it appears to have moisture inside the lens and the lens on all of the headlights are very foggey looking. They look like they are 20 years old. When taken to the dealer ira Lexus in bedord nh, they said it is not under warranty even though I have a letter from Lexus describing exactly how my lights are working or should I say not working. I realized the problem when I was stopped and issued a warning for having a headlight burned out. Lexus is trying to blame it on a ballister which they want $900 to replace. I say it is what is in the letter that is causing this. I feel they are just trying to charge me $900 for something that should be taken care of by Lexus. I have owned Lexus vehicle for years as well as many family members and it does seem like if you have an issue it is never under warranty or if it is, then something else caused it to happen. It is so hard to see at night and I feel this is a huge safety issue that should be taken care of by them or at least offer and affordable resolution not over $900 for a single headlight, which actually could cause the other headlight to go. What would happen with the other headlights in the future. I am getting so dissapointed with Lexus , sad to say this may be my last Lexus vehicele. I have owned this vehicle since August 2009.

11 Headlights problem of the 2007 Lexus RX350

2007 Lexus RX 350. Consumer writes in regards to defective headlight assembly in vehicle. The consumer stated a class action law suit was filed, in which it alleged that Toyota knew or should have known that the headlight assemblies in their vehicles contained numerous distinct and serious latent design and/or manufacturing defects that caused them to be highly prone to condensation or moisture, but continued to fail to do anything about it. The consumer stated the fact of the matter, was defective parts, including defects in the headlamp housing, water and moisture were able to enter the headlight assembly and damage interior components, including damaging the electrical control until. Which has proven to lead to serious safety hazards such as loss of illumination from one or both headlamps at unpredictable intervals, exposing drivers and those who they share the road with to significant and unreasonable danger, which is the exact problem she experienced with her vehicle.

13 Headlights problem of the 2007 Lexus RX350

Failure Date: 08/01/2011

I went to Lexus of chantilly (va) for routine maintenance and they told me I needed some bulbs replaced. I agreed to pay for the bulb replacement. About 2 weeks later, I noticed condensation in the headlight. I went back to Lexus chantilly and indicated that there had not been a problem with my headlight until after they replaced the bulb. They stated they did not cause this and that "this condensation problem just sometimes happens with the RX's. Water leaks into the headlight assembly". Since it appears that Lexus knows this, they should fix it or have a recall. Lexus chantilly stated that it would be "very expensive" to have the light fixed. I was thoroughly annoyed with them, (especially since I believe that they did indeed cause the issue), so I instead went to Lexus of silver spring (MD). Lexus silver spring told me that my car was out of warranty, so it would cost $2,200 to fix the light. What?! I asked why it was going to be so ridiculously expensive. They stated because they have to take the entire light housing out and will need to remove part of the bumper to do this and replace some kind of computer chip. Now my light is almost burned out from the moisture, so I have no choice but to eventually pay and get it replaced. (I know nothing about cars or I'd try to do it myself, but I don't want to cause any additional issues). Since Lexus knows about this problem (both Lexus service stations stated "this is just something that happens with the RX"), they should create a fix for this, recall it, or at least make the replacement cost less expensive. I have owned 3 Lexus vehicles, but because of this issues, this may be my final Lexus! extraordinarily annoyed about this!!!.

14 Headlights problem of the 2007 Lexus RX350

Failure Date: 02/11/2011

My Lexus 2007 RX 350 has heavy water condensation in the headlights in the driver side of the vehicle that is causing my headlights to flicker and shut off. Repeated calls to Lexus customer care has not resulted in anything. I took the vehicle to the dealer and got their vehicle inspector to inspect and got a detailed report endorsing my complaint that it is the problem with the Lexus headlight design that allows heavy water condensation causing my headlights to blow up. Very frustrated with the way Lexus people are behaving and this is not what you expect after you buy an expensive vehicle. This problem of theirs is directly putting me and other fellow motorists under risk.
