Speed Control Linkage Problems of Lincoln LS

My wife was stopped at a stop light and started to move up in traffic to close a gap between her and vehicle in front of her when the 2002 Lincoln Ls suddenly surged forward hitting the vehicle in front of her. Brakes were applied but the vehicle continued to surge forward. She finally stopped the vehicle and then put the vehicle in reverse to back away from the vehicle in front of her. With her foot on the brake, the vehicle surged in reverse and hit the vehicle behind her. The vehicle sustained damage in both front and rear. Vehicle was taken to Lincoln dealership where they stated that the vehicles computer systems did not show a code. Ford motor company was contacted by the vehicles owner.

While in traffic with foot on brake rpms went to 2000, consumer could feel car pulling forward. Consumer had to shift car in park. Took to dealer, and they didn't know what the cause was. Please provide anyfurther information.

Vehicle experienced problems with sudden acceleration and jumping out of gear. Provide further details. Consumer ended up going through back wall of garage on one occasion, consumer states sometimes the rear tires would spin out of control even with foot on brake and the only way to stop sudden acceleration was to turn the ignition off, dealer convinced cosumer to lease another Ls, however consumer is concerned what will happen with the other vehicle, if it would be sold and someone could be harmed.
