Tl the contact owns a 2013 Lincoln Mks. While driving approximately 70 mph, the contact noticed grey smoke coming from the hood of the vehicle. The contact mentioned that the engine was on fire. The fire department extinguished the fire. A police report was filed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the failure was due to a fuel leak. In addition, while driving, the steering wheel seized without warning. The vehicle was taken back to an independent mechanic, but the cause of the failure was undetermined. The failure recurred. While driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was taken to independent mechanic where they informed the contact that the body control module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 84,000.

2 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 03/11/2016

The contact owns a 2013 Lincoln mkx. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 25 mph, the low engine pressure warning light illuminated causing the vehicle to stall. The vehicle was restarted and resumed to normal. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 18,000.

3 Car Stall problem

Failure Date: 11/24/2013

The contact owns a 2013 Lincoln Mks. The contact stated that while driving approximately 10 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact mentioned that the vehicle was previously repaired under NHTSA campaign number: 13v227000 (fuel system, gasoline). The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was scheduled to be diagnosed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired.
