I am satisfied with the help that the customer service assisted me with and that was getting my service moved up to September 26th from the original date of October 30th. But I am not satisfied with the remedy. I have received several written letters from Lincoln that go into detail of the recall on my car and as well they say and in big red letters . . Do not drive your car until repairs are done. Well, I should say that you see my 2010 Lincoln Mkx is my and only vehicle I own I can not just park it up and forget I have a life and a job because of no fault of my own that my one and only car urgently is needing repair to the factory installed air bags. Therefore I ask Lincoln to assist me with a rental until my car had been repaired. I do not feel safe driving my car. Letter's I have on hand from Lincoln plainly stating do not drive. I am upset Lincoln ortrays they care so much to bombard me with all the recall letters and such but pretty much told me no we dont do rental cars so what I am to do??? I don't have rental coverage on my insurance. I couldn't afford it. So what choice do I have??? if I do die from their faulty air bags imploding on me atleast make sure my children and grandchildren knew I begged for a rental but Lincoln couldn't back me with that. I guess making luxury car's for so many years has not left them with much profit seeing as how in a life or death situation brought on by their mistake they leave their customers to chance it because it cost to much for rentals to ensure their customers are kept safe until their car is serviced and safe to drive. They have no compassion for people is how I am feeling about this whole situation. Only covering themselves legally in the cheapest fix possible to avoid legal issues. Guess Lincoln owners are just numbers and dollar signs and not mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, aunt or uncles or grandparents that are loved and would be missed severely in the event of their death by a recalled air bag.
O. C. Welch Ford-Lincoln of hardeeville, SC 29927 has not completed the safety recall on the airbags for the 2010 Ford Lincoln Mkx. After trying to get them to repair the airbags for over a year, they finally fixed the passenger side airbag. They originally stated they had the parts to fix driver's side, but told us they were on back-order. They said they would get in touch with us once the parts came in. It has been over 5 months and we have not heard anything from them in regards to fixing the driver's side airbag.

My breaks sound like air is flowing out when I push on them & the lock up , this seems to be a problem with tons of Mkx !! so why is there no recall!!!! my daughter was driving the other day and the breaks completely lock up in her , she almost wreaked!!! I know there are recalls on other Mkx 2010!! there needs to be one in all of them because someone is going to get hurt due to them!!.
This is in regards to the takata recall. I received my first letter from the Lincoln motor company regarding the recall July 2016. The issue has yet yo be taken care of and almost two years has passed. This is something I believe to be extremely important especially for the passenger in my car, which most of the time is family. Every since I've received this letter I try not to have anyone sit in the passenger seat for their safety, but has definitely become inconvenient.
We received a letter from Lincoln motor CO. In December 2017 notifying us of a potential of an air bag explosion in our 2010 Mkx. We were told not to allow anyone to sit in the passenger side front seat until the problem could be remedied. It's now March 28, 2018 and I called Ford customer service. I was told I need to be patient and continue to leave the vehicle parked and use a different vehicle or have any passengers ride in the back seat because they still don't have the parts to fix it. My question if this so called safety device is the safety hazard which could result in injury or death, why can't it be disconnected or disabled. Expecting people to travel without being able to use the passenger front seat or use an alternate vehicle because a safety device that vehicles did without for over 100 years is the real safety issue is certainly a fools solution to the problem. If there are so many vehicles in need of these parts that they can't be repaired in a timely manner, then maybe there needs to be an alternative solution.
Takata recall - this vehicle has been parked in our garage for 8 months. This vehicle has 73,000 miles & is in excellent condition. I have my doubts that this vehicle will ever be repaired to drive again. I have received 2 letters from Lincoln advising of the problem; however, no notice of if & when this vehicle will be repaired. I believe this delay belongs to Lincoln & this vehicle should be replaced with a 2018 vehicle that is drivable.

"takata recall", for 2 years I have been receiving info. Regarding this recall and for 2 years have been contacting the dealership, to hear the same thing over and over that they still do not have the parts to replace this airbag, so how many people have to get killed from this before the problem is resolved. Some one ran a stop sign and ran into my car good thing the air bag did not go off since my granddaughter was seated in the passanger seat. Come on people tend to this once and for all. Just complaining about the situation not reporting the accident, there for the date listed below is the day that I sent this in.
I have been to Ford dealer more than once about this recall with no results. They tell me they do not know when parts will be available and this is my only vehicle!.
Dealer could give me no information about the airbag replacement. The service manager said that he did not get the newest information about it.

Takata recall, NHTSA recall no. 16v384, Lincoln recall no. 16s26 11-23-16, I turned steering wheel to begin to park in shopping mall garage. Driver airbag immediately deployed prior to impact which caused me to hit the concrete wall ahead. There were no other passengers in the vehicle. Recall notice received July 2016 on passenger airbag. Obviously, there is a problem with the driver airbag also. We contacted Lincoln dealer when we received the notice & also contacted athem an additional 2 3 times to check on status of recall repair with no results. Was told parts had not been received yet & that we would be notified when to schedule an appointment for the recall repair.

"takata recall". The first recall notice from Lincoln motor was in July 2016. A second notice was sent in December 2017 stating repair would be done in the spring of 2018. Gave a warning "do not use front passenger seat" after almost 2 years the repair still has not been done. The vehicle has only 42000 miles and is not used except for infrequent short local trips with only the driver in the vehicle.

Takata recall was in June of 2016 and all I have from the Lincoln motor company saying parts may become available in the spring of 2018, with no indication when my car will be fixed. They say do not use the front passenger seat which makes the car virtually useless for a family of 5. Is this acceptable?.
Takata recall I received a recall notice from Lincoln in June of 2016. Replacement parts are still not available in October of 2017. I understand the older the vehicle is the more likely there is to be a problem. The car only has 80000 mile and we plan to drive it several more years.
Takata recall remedy not yet available,,date of recall 6/1/16.
