The contact owns a 2016 Lincoln Mkx. The contact stated that while driving at 60 mph, the brake pedal was depressed and went to the floorboard. The contact stated that the "low brake fluid" warning light was displayed while the contact pumped the brake pedal before the vehicle drifted to a stop. Due to the failure, the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, and was diagnosed with a rear brake hose failure. The contact then received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 25v544000 (service brakes, hydraulics); however, parts for the recall were not yet available. The dealer was notified of the failure, and the vehicle was towed to the dealer. The dealer acknowledged the recall, and the contact was provided an estimate for the repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact was informed that a claim could be filed to be reimbursed for any out-of-pocket repairs on the vehicle related to the failure. The vehicle remained with the dealer unrepaired. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

Was advised by a law enforcement officer the high-mount stop lamp lens had detatched from the lamp housing. Apparently, the adhesive holding the plastic lens had deteriorated and allowed seperation of the components. The led circuit board is now exposed to the elements. This without a doubt will cause the chmsl to fail due to water and salt intrusion. Additionally, the non-diffused led's are blinding drivers behind this vehicle at night. This failure occurred on the highway, and the lens nearly struck a car behind me.
I went to put brakes on and didn't have any brakes which created an accident. (9/27/25).

I received a recalled noticed regarding a potential brake(s) failure. Currently the manufacture does not have sufficient parts and does not provide any eta on when parts do become available. In the light of the situation, I would rather filed a complaint than risking my life or the lives of others due to the manufacture unable to provide the need parts to resolved this serious issue. I am taking proactive steps to protect myself before I find myself in the worst case scenario.

Recalled master cylinder brake booster was repaired at the dealership under the recall approx 4 or 5 years ago. The same issue has began again. Out of nowhere while braking, the pedal will become soft and press to the floor. During this time, the car will not slow down. This is resembling a defective part.

The contact owns a 2016 Lincoln Mkx. The contact received notifications of NHTSA campaign numbers: 20v469000 (service brakes, service brakes, hydraulic) and 25v544000 (service brakes, hydraulic); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that while approaching a traffic light, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to respond in a timely manner. The vehicle then slowed down and stopped; however, the contact stated that added force was used to depress the brake pedal. No warning light was illuminated. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was unknown.
A year ago, Lincoln issued a "voluntary recall" for a safety issue affecting loss of power brake assist due to a problem with the electronic brake booster, identical to the recall recently issued for newer models. I took my Lincoln to the dealership, only to be told they cannot fix it unless it is happening when you bring it in. It is a very sporadic failure, lasts for a short time, and impossible to predict. So, while they claimed to have issued a 'voluntary recall', it is ineffective since the sporadic nature makes it impossible to get it fixed. Then the voluntary recall expired a few months after they sent out the notice.

The contact owns a 2017 Lincoln Mkx. The contact stated while driving approximately 30-40 mph and depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle failed to respond. The contact stated that the vehicle was coasted downhill to decelerate. The contact pulled into a parking lot and engaged the parking brake to stop the vehicle. No warning light was illuminated. An independent mechanic was contacted. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the rear brake hoses needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 25v544000(service brakes, hydraulic). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000.
Right rear brake line ruptured while driving. I felt the pedal go to the floor, pulled over and got towed home. Upon inspection of the line, I see that it split at the connection of the lies, no one else has inspected it, obviously people could have been killed, and Ford has recalled the same thing for the front lines. . .
Rear brake hose rupture. Have previously experiences rupture in front hose while driving associated with recall. Repaired April 2024. This time I was leaving a grocery store and had similar experience. Was thankfully still parked. Had car towed to dealership. Diagnosed as rear brake hose rupture. No brake light warnings, nothing noted during last oil change.
Brake hose burst suddenly causing loss of all fluid and pressure. Hose is bent at an acute angle causing unnecessary stress on the hose.
Twice while at a stop light with my foot on the brakes because of an incline, the engine sped up like it was grasping for air and the engine shut down. It started back each time, but the second time, my engine light came on. I called aaa since I am a member and went there for the repair. They diagnosed it as a brake booster problem and printed a copy of the Ford document sent to all us Ford and Lincoln dealers regarding customer satisfaction program 13n02, supplements 2 & 3. Aaa suggested I take it to a Ford/Lincoln dealer and have the repair made under the recall. However, when I contacted Ford/Lincoln, they declined to even look at my car and said the recall was VIN specific and my car was not listed. Interestingly at the dealer and when I called and talked to several people at Ford and then Lincoln, they all asked my mileage. My mileage is 134,000, and 13n02 says it is effective up to 150,000 miles. The Ford document does not mention being VIN specific and my car is listed, a 2011 Mkx with less than 150,000 miles. Your site says there are no open recalls for my car as well. Thanks [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
The contact owns a 2011 Lincoln Mkx. The contact stated that while attempting to stop the vehicle, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to respond as needed. The vehicle was driven to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the abs system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
The contact owns a 2010 Lincoln Mkx. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to stop as intended. Additionally, while the brake pedal was depressed; the contact heard a hissing sound coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with brake booster failure. The contact was informed that the brake booster needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

My brakes have failed on this car three times. I had new front and back brakes installed on [xxx] mileage 44882. Again my brakes failed on [xxx] mileage 47626. A new brake booster was installed along with front brakes. Again on [xxx] brakes failed again and a brake booster and front brakes were installed. Mileage 54924. Today I was driving to my daughters house in zanesville, ohio and my brakes failed again. My car is still down in zanesville because I could not drive it home. The mileage is 57000. Every time this happens I risk an accident. Even though the brake booster is covered by extended warranty, because Lincoln knows about this problem, I still have to pay for brakes and other cost. Isn't there anything that can be done about this? information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

On two occasions I was on my way to church when the brake pedal went completely to the floor with no braking effect. I pumped the brake peddle several times and then in both instances braking was reestablished. These instances happened about a month and a half apart.
In June 2024, I received a letter dated March of 2024 for a customer satisfaction program 13n02 that ended before I had a chance to take my vehicle into the repair shop to have this item fixed. Actually, I received the letter past the date that it could qualify for the repair as it was 10 years from the original warranty or 150,000 miles. My original warranty start date was December 2013. So they sent the "customer satisfaction program notice 13n02" after the date it could be repaired. I called the dealership anyway, despite their error, to see if they may want to fix this spongy break pedal anyway since they had messed up their mailing date. (shultz Lincoln in wexford, PA) they declined and told me they would be happy to look at it for a low fee of $180. 00. I told them they should do it for free. I then called Lincoln directly where I spoke with a very nice gentleman. He looked through every possible scenario and decided that I was not able to get it fixed under the program. There really should be some type of law disallowing them to send out post dated letters knowing very well that they were not going to fix it because it was past the date of repair. My brake pedal hits the floor when I try to stop and if I do not push on the pedal hard enough to brake without the booster kicking in, I bump into things. Solution, I have attached a 2 channel dash cam to the vehicle with a live feed posted to a server in order to document my death caused by Lincoln. I have instructed my attorneys to release the feed upon my death and have authorized a law suit in my name. If won, they have been told to distribute the money to all of the homeless people that the Lincoln executives drive past with their pocket tight and windows up every day on their way to work. This should be a crime. They should fix their safety issues, they should not be allowed to send out notices offering to pay for repairs that they do not plan on repairing. Also, they could spare a dollar for the homeless.
A dangerous stall of the engine happens when accelerating,.
My 2007 Lincoln Mkx had an sua and within 10 feet totaled the front end when it was thrust into a cement building. This happened on [xxx] and the vehicle is available for inspection here in ft. Wayne, indiana. In 2010 Lincoln implemented an override device to the brake system knowing of the problem and there was no recall for vehicles prior to 2010. My safety was put at risk and that of others. If someone had been exiting the store or walking down the sidewalk they could have been killed. I am suffering with physical and mental problems as a result of this. Police report also states this was definitely a vehicle malfunction. There were no warning signs prior to the incident. Claim has been filed with the office of general council at Lincoln, but remains unresolved to date. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

The contact owns a 2013 Lincoln Mkx. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the brake pedal was depressed, and the brake pedal felt soft. The contact depressed the brake pedal to the floorboard while slowing the vehicle. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic, who referred the contact to a local dealer. The vehicle was diagnosed, and it was determined that the hecu was leaking, causing the brake booster and other braking systems to fail. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The contact was advised by an independent mechanic that the brake failure for the year, make, and model was known by the manufacturer. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.
The brakes suddenly became very difficult to depress to make the vehicle come to a stop. Emergency repair was necessary, as driving to the dealer was unsafe. Brake booster was filled with fluid. The car then had to be towed to dealer, where repair required replacement of brake booster, master cylinder, and booster vacuum hoses. There are recalls for this same make, model and year. Though my VIN does not come up in those vehicles covered by the recall, it is the exact same problem.
Condensation build up in my passenger headlamp has caused the led rope lighting to stop working. This shows a recall but one not offered at this time. Brake line failure. Had local repair shop repair brakes and realign, because I had to jump a curb at 40mph to avoid collision. Ford refuses (thru nonresponsive) to pay damages. Recall repaired weeks later by plate valley Ford of kearney ne.
Continious soft brake pedal , with failure of brakes a couple of times nearly causing wreck. Auto inspected by reineke Ford findlay, OH. Needs replacement of abs brake module - hydrolic and electrical. No warning lights ever. Ford needs to extend the abs module recall to include additional years, one of those being my 2014 Mkx. To add to problem, even if I could afford to fix $2,000. 00 repair. . . . . . Parts are on backorder. . . . . . . . Hence defining what a problem this is! this has been going on since April 2024.
Brake booster is a known issue with these cars. It failed today and my car has 100,000 miles. Ford has issued a customer satisfaction notice, but they refuse to fix my car because it was built 3 months too early.
Our car has been having issues with the breaks. At random times the break peddle gets very spongy and has to be pushed to the floor before the brakes will activate. The reduced break pressure has caused near crashes as the vehicle does not slow down when the breaks are pushed until the pedal is pushed to the floor. We took the car into a Lincoln dealership and they spent a day looking at the vehicle. The mechanic informed us that the vehicle has a faulty abs pump and that the part needs to be replaced to remedy the brake issue. We were told by the Lincoln dealer that the part is on back order and that this part is known to fail on our year and model of car.
Brakes loose pressure and break pedal has to be pushed to the floor before speed is reduced. Likely an issue with the break booster.
The contact owns a 2013 Lincoln Mkx. The contact stated that after her daughter started the vehicle, the parking brake failed and the vehicle began to roll. As a result, the vehicle rolled 300 yards downhill, running over the driver, who had attempted to physically stop the vehicle and came to a complete stop after colliding with a building. The air bags did not deploy. No warning lights were illuminated. A police report was filed, and injuries were reported. The driver was taken to an area hospital and treated for a sprained hip, a sprained ankle, and various contusions. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that the vehicle was functioning as intended. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 243,000.
Brakes are extremely hard to use, takes both feet to stop vehicle, once stopped the engine will stall while brake is touched, must put vehicle in park when stopped.
When driving the vehicle, the brakes got stiff and mushy and hard to stop the car. There was not indicator on the dash there was an issue with the brakes. Had it checked by a mechanic and he stated it needed to go to the dealership since it was the brake booster which needed attention. I looked for recalls on this model and they had one in 2015 time frame, but I did not purchase it used until 8/17 after the recall. I set an appointment with the stumpf Ford where they confirmed it was the brake booster. I also found numerous (43) complaints about the same issue with the 2013 Lincoln Mkx. I fortunately did not have an accident when this happened, but feel there are issues around the brake booster and it is a hazard for my self and other drivers if there had been an accident. The dealership had stated there was a recall which ended in 2015 for that model, but that there is one on going from 2018 until 2025 for the mkz. As stated this is a safety issue for the driver of the car and other drivers.
While driving on sept 22 2023 I hit a pothole and immediately felt a change in the pressure in the gas pedal, upon braking I noticed a loss of pressure in the brake system. Vehicle was slow to respond to applicsation of brake pedal to where I had to move my seaty forward so that I could depress the pedal to the floor ( im 4'10" and could not apply the brake to the degree needed to stop my vehicle from the seat position I usually drive in). When pressing the brake pedal it felt as if it wanted to engage the abs system but was not doing so and I would have to press the pedal to the floor which then would bring me to a jolting stop. I don't know how to explain it but there was also a differnce in the feeling of pressure when pushing on the gas pedal so whatever happened affected pressure in both the fuel and brake syatem foot pedals. I have not had the vehicle inspected as of writing this, nor have I reported it to police as I did not experience a collisionbeing that it happened a short distance from my house abnd the vehicle has not been driven since the issue began yesterday morning sept 22 2023.
Loss of pressure in brakes and fuel foot pedals after hitting a pothole. Pressure was so low in brakes I had to press brake pedal to floor to come to a jerking stop. It felt as if there was no brake at all as it was slow to brake coming to an abrupt stop once pedal floored. I do not have documentation from service center as I have not had it looked at since the issue happened yesterday morning, and I have no police report at this time as there was no crash.
