Structure Problems of Lincoln MKX

The contact owns a 2011 Lincoln Mkx. The contact stated while the vehicle was turned off, the driver’s side turn signal and parking lights remained illuminated with the other lights in the vehicle being inoperable. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA campaign number: 10v659000 (structure) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not under recall. There was no additional assistance provided. The contact was referred to the NHTSA for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 111,000.

Roof hatch and windows open with nobody in car. Heater goes to full heat upon starting vehicle. Relates to technical bulletin issued regarding leakage in assembly but we have been advised correction is not covered by warranty even though service bulletin states it should be covered under warranty. Can you help us correct this deficiency? thank you for your prompt response to this issue.

Reflection from the chrome air vents shows on both the driver and passenger side mirrors which poses a safety hazard.

White flakes of dust coming out of vents. According to Ford it is a hazard and has risk warnings as follows: may cause eye an respiratory tract irritation. Prolonged repeated exposure may cause bone damage and harm to the respirator system. Avoid inhaling dust, avoid contact with eyes. However after 3 attempts so far, my Lincoln dealer is unable to stop the dust from coming out of the vents!! further research shows Ford is aware of this problem but seems to hope customers wont know what it is! then on top of it all my dealer wont cover it as I am 6 months out of warranty. . . . With only 13,600 miles!.

The contact owns a 2007 Lincoln Mkx. The contact stated that the dashboard reflects onto the windshield. The reflection caused poor visibility because it covered 90% of the windshield. The current and failure mileages were 500. Updated 09/05/07.

2007 Lincoln Mkx blinding dashboard in bright sunlight. Customer states that the dashboard is light beige and is blinding when it reflects into the windshield on a bright sunny day.
