Ignition Coils Failure Problems of Lincoln MKZ

The contact owns a 2008 Lincoln Mkz. The contact purchased an ignition coil and the vehicle would not start. My ignition coil imploded. I replaced 6 plugs and one coil, but as they were getting installed the mechanic showed me that the computer in my car was not giving a reading to the new coil, I took the car to the dealer and they confirmed that I need a new computer (pcm) the car shakes under 50 mph, stop lights, etc. . . The dealer told me that it was a glitch on my model car but they won't fix it unless I pay $1600 to get it done.
