-the front bumper of the car is nearly coming off. This is attached by a "bra" covering the front bumper and if not on the whole front bumper would fall off. The tires/rims are also nearly run down and need to be replaced. -this is caused me great concern when transporting my children as a divorced father to and from the other party's premise. At every turn I believe the bumper may fall off or one of the tires. -unknown -unknown -this problem has been happening for at least a year, and I would like for the (front bumper) of the vehicle to be replaced along with four (tires/rims) at the earliest.

Wheel lug nuts get swollen due to the material used causing problems when the wheels need to be removed. I was lucky to not be in an emergency situation needing to change a wheel out. This could have easily happened and I would have been unable to change a wheel on the side of the road. I went to costco to get my tires changed and they refused to take the wheels off because the wheel lug nuts were all swollen and could cause issues on removal or/and installation. They were afraid of stripping the hardware during removal or being unable to torque to spec during installation. The replacement of the wheel lug nuts with parts that wont recreate the problem was about $90 and taking an extra day for the tire replacement appointment plus me replacing it on my own saved on labor.

I brought my 2016 Mkz in for a safety recall on front brake hoses. I was told that the lug nuts were swollen and would have to be replaced and would cost ?? 166. 27. Had to do it to have the brake hoses replaced. They were replaced with the same type of aluminum lug nuts. This defective type lug nut has been a problem for over 10 years yet nothing has been done to change it. Luckily I didn’t have a flat tire I couldn’t have changed.
Took car in for an oil change and tire rotation. The dealer did the oil change but could not do the tire rotation because the lug nuts needed to be replaced.

Unknown. I purchased the car like this from a car dealership. When turning the tires are rubbing against something that makes the car start shaking every time it turns. The seat started going sideways and won’t move anymore the tires make an ugly noise when you press on the brakes.

When I was at the dealership today, I was informed the lug nuts on my car have swollen and that if they are not replaced I probably will not be able to change a spare tire alongside the road if needed. I was informed that there is a manufacturing defect that Ford is aware of, but has not recalled yet.
We have swollen lug nuts on our vehicle. We are unable to rotate our tires and our service technician states they all need to be replaced. They state the "outer shell is swelling". The vehicle is available for inspection. This is a safety concern since the lug nuts can break. No warning lamps or messages are shown. These were professional inspected by a trained technician at chapel hill tire located at 502 w franklin st, chapel hill nc 27516. 919-967-7092.
Lugnuts are stripped and swollen at only 60k miles. An improperly seated lug nut could result in the tire coming off at high rate of speeds posing a safety hazard. The dealer found and confirmed the swollen and stripped lug nuts. Lincoln dealer is the only entity who has serviced the vehicle while in my possession. After speaking with advisor, they said this is a common problem - indicating Lincoln is aware of the issue. After researching, many Ford and Lincoln owners are filing complaints, and lawsuits over this issue and Ford is denying them. This indicates Ford and Lincoln are aware of the problem. Part was inspected by the manufacturer, Lincoln. No warning lamp, message, or symptom indicating the problem. Last service appointment (approx 5100) miles ago did not indicate any issue with the lug nuts.
Lincoln dealer advised during an unrelated servicing of my 2015 Mkz that the lug nuts were swollen and presented a danger and major problem with the definite hazard of not bring able to remove a flat tire on the roadside with the standard tire wrench. I see that my situation is not unique and repeated many times over based on reported cases. I believe that a Ford/Lincoln recall is the proper outcome to reimburse yhose already impacted and s replacement for those owners unknowing of the dangers involved.

Brake pedal went all the way and touch body. It happened twice in two months and 2nd time resulted in to car wreck on 5 miles per hour speed. It is very disappointing Lincoln seems to know about the issue but took a long time to cover with remedy.

After a year with the purchasing dealer we are still having on-going electrical issues with the vehicle. Apple sync, voice control. Still have issues with rims pitting after only less than 10,000 miles on the vehicle. Bolt rusting on under carriage. Film on back window. Lincoln corporate has been following this case for a year now and my rep is mr. Dehane davis. This file is still open at Lincoln corporate.
Aug 2, my husband & I were approaching a 4-way light near our neighborhood. We were slowing down to turn right at the intersection. As we began the turn, the tires locked & our car slide left across lanes that resulted in a crash. Both airbags deployed. I was thrown into the windshield, despite my seat-belt, busting it. Then, my airbag deployed. It was like my husband had no control of the vehicle. Both airbags deployed. Tires were still locked when tow-truck arrived. Other car involved did not have this issue. We do not have a hybrid, but wonder if the steering recall that started with 2012 Mkz hybrids & others could involve additional models like ours (recall 15v340000). What we experienced was not normal.

The Lincoln Mercury factory chrome plated rims leak air all the time making the tires low on air or flat very often! this is a very dangerous safety hazard that can cause loss of control and having an accident resulting in serious bodily injury or death! there are many numerous other Lincoln car owners that report the same symptoms and problems. The manufacturer never plated the rims properly with nickle prior to chrome plating, thus the chrome coating constantly peels off and corrodes; thus air leaks past the tire bead and the rim surface. This sounds like a giant class action lawsuit!! I am are both very upset and scared to drive under these horrific conditions, but I have no choice as news factory rims are very expensive and I cannot afford them since I am disabled and on a fixed income.
During a service at the dealership I was informed that all my wheel lug nuts needed to be changed because of swelling. Per the mechanic, this is a know problem with this lug nuts on this model of Lincoln.
Tl the contact owns a 2011 Lincoln Mkz. The contact stated that the wheels on the vehicle were leaking air. The contact drove to bill knight Lincoln Volvo (4111 s memorial dr, tulsa, ok 74145) four times. The dealer sanded down the corrosion on the interior of the rim and mounted it back on the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure occurred for approximately four years. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 83,000.

I inform Lincoln motor company on my Lincoln has been recalled, which is happening right now to a record number of americans, but it's even worse when you know that your car has been recalled and can't get the manufacturer to service it at a dealership. When you're told that there are no parts or no technicians to fix your car, what do you do? I was told it's not that bad and didn't need to be replacing right now. Had my car in to be service on recall 18s08, that is when the dealership didn't put the lug nuts back on my car, and the wheel fell off the car causing damage to the front end of the car. The lugs nuts swell, crack and delaminate to the point special tools are needed to remove the lug nuts. Had 3 blowout due to the wheel frame was bent, and was replace during the damage the dealership done to the car. Picture was provided to Lincoln motor company. I was notified by Lincoln about NHTSA 14v-597, and of the date still not repaired. Takata airbag inflators that could explode violently despite containing a chemical meant to lessen the risk of the shrapnel-shooting ruptures. But Ford is looking to avoid another costly recall. Can't find the natsa# my Lincoln now under investigation for brake failure. A significant defect can make my car unsafe to drive. I've been having the idiot light come on with lightning bolt words check your brakes. The message I got was they were going to close the case# because they have no remedy for me. They discover my warranty on the car is running out and don't want to be bother with the problem.
Carvana states "thank you for taking the time to email us about your recent vehicle purchase! carvana takes pride in the vehicles that we provide and sell to every customer. Per our standards, we complete a 150 point inspection of every vehicle however this was not the case. I had so many issues from transmission failure, speakers not working, speed issues with car not accelerating to tires not being the correct ones so I would slide on raining days and almost crash on 3 occasions.
Tires constantly going flat because of rim. I would never purchase another Lincoln ever.

"takata recall" coming of higway on ramp car accelerated tires felt like they were gonna come off engine light blinked then dashboard went out then loss of power. So tired of this car been nothing but problems and the only recall I get is power steering. My door lock and window on driver side is not working again!!!~the door and window were already broke had nothing to do with each other. Should be a law against lemons. . One big money bag!!!.
At my 55000 mile service I was informed that all my wheel lug nuts needed to be changed because of swelling. Per the mechanic, this is a know problem with this lug nuts on this model of Lincoln. I just had them replaced with the total cost of repair including three damaged lug studs for approx $440. The replacement lug nuts were the same as the original ones.
After repairing brakes at my cost many times now they are recalled. I had to replace the Lincoln wheels at my cost after researching that many problems were reported. Also with only 65,000 miles on my car my transmission is out. I have had many electrical issues. It is clear that major issues is on the this model year. While driving my transmission failed. I towed the car to dealership and they want to now charge 4400. 00 for the transmission. I am out of money with this vehicle and it was clearly poorly manufactured.
Tl-the contact owns a 2009 Lincoln Mkz. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle vibrated abnormally. The contact stated that the vehicle felt as if the vehicle was being driven on four flat tires. The contact was unsure as to where the vibration emanated from. The vehicle was taken to towne Lincoln located at 3535 southwestern blvd, orchard park, NY 14127, (888) 377-0879, to be diagnosed. The mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted or notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 139,000. Ah.
Due to poor wheel construction, the chrome plating on the Lincoln oem wheels flakes off resulting in a failure of the tire to seal properly against the wheel. This failure to seal against the wheel causes a progressively worse air leak on every wheel. If an owner of this car is not aware or observant of the constantly declining air pressure, they could drive on dangerously under inflated tires, and potentially experience catastrophic tire failure. In particular, the wheels on my Mkz leak to such an extent that every morning, I have to go outside and pump them up to the proper psi. Buying new Lincoln wheels would result in the same problem as they are all affected by the same manufacturing defect. Many owners have resulted to buying aftermarket wheels, which I see as unacceptable as the original wheels should function properly and remain reliable for the life of the vehicle.
Tire pressure goes down quickly. I set tire pressure and within 2 days the tire pressure warning light comes on. Vehicle becomes un stable at speed and is difficult to control. I was driving and it was difficult to control the direction of the vehicle all of a sudden. My mechanic says the chrome finish on the wheels has corroded at the bead areas where the tire mounts and causes fast tire pressure loss. These are factory wheels.
The tires won't hold a seal and have continually small air leaks. I have to keep filling my tires with air every week or so. I have taken it to 3 different tire places and all say the same thing thing, the tires are good, wheels are not bent, and that it is a known issue with my car that the chrome erodes off and it will not hold a seal. Every single place has said the same thing and I continue to have the same experience. They will clean off the rim and reseal it and say as long as the chrome wheels keep eroding it will continue and it is so true!.
My airbag light stays on constantly passenger side. This may cause injury if in accident ive replaces several tires and recently have new ones and tire pressure goes completely flat on 2 back tires and constantly putting air in front tires. . I returned it to service station that installed tires and he said the rims are so corroded that's why I'm losing air in tires. These need replaced and are costly. I feel I may have a blowout while driving if I don't check these daily.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2008 Lincoln Mkz. The contact stated that the oem rims prematurely caused the air to leave the tires. The contact had to constantly add air to the tires. The vehicle was taken to two dealers (summerville Ford, 9700 dorchester rd, summerville, SC 29485, (877) 477-1434) and (palmetto Ford, 1625 savannah hwy, charleston, SC 29407, (843) 571-3673). The dealers indicated that the oem rims needed to be replaced. In addition, the VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 16v384000 (air bags) and was unable to determine when the remedy and parts would be supplied to the dealer. The failure mileage was not available. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
Left rear wheel had chrome flake off at the point of attachment to the tire causing air leak in oct 2015. Wheel was replaced. Right front wheel had chrome flake at the tire seal causing tire low pressure. Dealer recommends replacing wheel. Car has approx. 54000 miles. The loss of air in the tires is sensed by the tire pressure indicator. If tires are inflated it takes about three days until the sensor light comes back on.
Chrome wheels did not use nickel undercoat and chrome peeled off causing air leaks and differential would moan from uneven tire pressure; bought 4 new after market wheels for $775 and solved problem. Front driving lights allowed water to penetrate from vent in wheel well causing to fill up with water and shorted out connectors. Covered vent holes. Rewired connector and water proofed the lighting assemblies but they are still very hazy from water damage. Dealer wanted $1,200 to replace them and said it is common. After market replacements cost $350 to $500 each; problem still not resolved and make an otherwise very pretty car look like cheep crap. Very nice car; stupid Ford problems.
Retired us army veteran,,,,bought car used in 2010 with approx. 25,0000 miles from a dealer. It has chrome wheels. At approx 50,000 miles & 2015, the chrome on the wheels started peeling and I started getting low tire pressure warnings from slow leaking. Took it to the dealer< ( always dealer serviced) they said the rim is corroding and they have to remove the wheel and tire, break down the tire off the rim, grind the carrotion off the rim, put sealer on it and reinstall and rebalance the tire. Its not warranteed, so cost me $35 and took 1/2 hr. Since then I have had the other 3 wheels do the same. I was quoted $845 to replace all 4 chrome wheels with alumminium wheels and best to do that when need new tires. I am looking for a set of used alumminum wheels for it instead. Or get $1,000 less on a trade in for another 2 yr old used Lincoln Mkz. I have opted to trade it in and get a 2016' Mkz. But with alum. Wheels.
Tl-the contact owns a 2008 Lincoln Mkz. The contact stated that the tire pressure monitoring system indicator illuminated continuously. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who informed that all four tires exhibited low tire pressure due to the severely rusted rims. The four tires were inflated to the proper air pressure on numerous occasions however, the failure recurred every two weeks. The rims were not replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 35,000. Js.
Purchased the vehicle in January 2015 with 23,000 miles on it. Have had consistent issues with the low tire pressure light coming on. Apparently the chrome rims flake and cause and air leakage to occur. I have had several tire places "fix" the issue to no avail. The first company found a hairline crack on the interior of the rim so I thought that was the issue and replaced rim. The issue continued and not always on the same tire. I have found quite a few others online with a similar issue so I am reporting it in the hopes that Lincoln will rectify this issue with their chrome rims. I am constantly worried that my tire is going to blowout while I am driving. I am current,y looking at replacing the tires and rims altogether as I will need new tires soon.
I am having issues with low tires. They are constantly going low/flat. About 6 month ago I had one tire come completely off my rim. From what I am told by the dealership, the rims have to be shaved down and then re sealed. I just bought new tires less then a year ago and already in need of new ones because the tread is worn out for having inconsistant air in them with them continually going low! it's been going on for the last 3 years but more frequently within the last 12 months.
Safety hazard-chrome wheels corroding and flaking. Frequent loss of air pressure pre-mature wear of tires.
