1 Tire Pressure Monitoring System problem of the 2006 Lincoln Navigator

Failure Date: 01/03/2011

I am having continous problems with my 2006 Lincoln Navigator. For a vehicle of this quality, I never dream of so many problem. I had my suspension system fix last year at the dealer. 1 year has pass now it is gone out again. I had my catylist converter fix at the dearler about 2 years ago. 1 year later they are gone out agian. Now I am riding around with a bouncing Navigator and a sluggist running Navigator with plenty of fumes. I just don't have the funds for continous repairs for the same service. Do the mechanics know what they are doing? I am really frustrasted with this vehicle and the service I have recieved. Bouncing around in a 40,000 + vehicle is imbarrasing. Please help. I have to bum a ride at time. I have to travel , a lot and rent a car. This is getting old and expensive. The dealer want fix it because they say it is out of warranty, eventhough I have paid to have it fixed before. This is not costumer service. Help.

2 Tire Pressure Monitoring System problem of the 2007 Lincoln Navigator

Failure Date: 05/19/2010

Brought my Lincoln Navigator into bob maxey Lincoln to have my tires replaced. I bought the vehicle brand new from a now out of business Lincoln dealer "stu evans Lincoln" in 2007. The vehicle was supposed to have 20" tires on oem, but came in with 18" tires, so stu evans swapped them with tires from another vehicle. This brings me to my current situation. I have never replaced the tires or had any work done on them, but upon bob maxey replacing the tires they noted that I had one tire pressure sensor "glued on" and one tire where the sensor and banding was completely missing. I have been driving around in a heavy SUV for 3 years without the safety of having an fully functioning tire pressure sensoring system due to Ford's dealer. Now Lincoln wants me to pay to have this system put on. I am the original owner of the vehicle and have never had any repairs done to the wheels. This is a massive safety concern as I do not want to be driving this vehicle without knowing that I have low tire pressure and rolling the vehicle over. Ford should step up to the plate and fix what was wrong with this vehicle when I bought it.

3 Tire Pressure Monitoring System problem of the 2006 Lincoln Navigator

Failure Date: 12/02/2009

The rear driver side tire valve core was coming out (almost completely). It was sticking out so far that I was unable to screw tire valve cap on completely. By screwing the valve cap tightly would actually cause the valve core to be pushed in which would allow the air to escape from the tire. I have been told that this is a common problem with the tire valves which have the tire pressure sensor attached to them.

4 Tire Pressure Monitoring System problem of the 2008 Lincoln Navigator

Failure Date: 05/13/2008

The contact owns a 2008 Lincoln Navigator. The contact stated that his wife had a flat tire on the rear passenger side of the vehicle. He noticed that there were two different tire sizes on the vehicle. The front tires were larger than the rear tires. He believed that the difference in the tire sizes could possibly cause a potential safety hazard. At the time of the complaint, the contact could not locate the tire sizes. The current mileage was approximately 7,000 and failure mileage was approximately 3,000. The tire had a nail in it. Also the tire pressure sensor was inoperative. Updated 07/08/08.

6 Tire Pressure Monitoring System problem of the 2000 Lincoln Navigator

Failure Date: 08/25/2003

I purchased a 2000 Lincoln Navigator from laurel-Ford dealer in mississippi on August 21, 2003. After asking the dealership if all necessary maintenances were done on vehicle my family and I left for new york. I still had the original mfr warranties and I purchased an extended warranty plan. While traveling on the interstate on August 25th the brake lights came on and suddenly the left rear tire exploded. My family and I feared for our lives. It turned out that the brakes were faulty, no emergency brakes, no stablizer, heavily rusty links, and etc. The tow truck had to tow us twice. After ariving in new york, a dealer, told me that the vehicle was never serviced. They explained in detialed in wrting. We could have been killed. I was on vaction with my twin boys and wife. I very angried with the laurel-Ford dealership in ms and its owners. The tires seem dry rotted and corrosion was very visiable under the SUV. Since then, I spent over $5000 getting this Navigator fixed and got very little satisfactin from the owner and his dealership.
