Wiper Problems of Lincoln Navigator

While driving in raid the wipers slowed drastically, like it wasn't connected well to the motor, then ultimately stopped. This made it difficult to see while driving and we can no longer drive in the rain until we can get it repaired. Dealer was unwilling to come remotely to inspect and repair.

Drivers side rear quarter panel glass shattered out of no where. Was at a dead stop in 90 degree traffic in florida, heard a loud bang, and window broke. You can see the window flexed out from the break. I think this was a faulty window due breaking out of no where with no impacts.

My vehicle is a 2017 Lincoln Navigator. The backup camera works maybe 50% of the times that I attempt to back up. I understand that Lincoln has a recall on other Lincoln vehicles for this issue, but not for the Navigator. The cross traffic alert does not work. In combination, attempting to back up has a real potential for a vehicle crash or pedestrian injury, especially in parking lots, for drivers of the Lincoln Navigator. Thank you.

Windshield wipers will stop working when driving in weather that requires the windshield wipers. They stop in place and will not move even when trying to move them manually. This is an intermittent problem. The windshield wipers will reset and start working after a period of 6+ hours of the car being turned off. This happened on 12/1/22 and 12/10/22 while driving the car. Car dealership will not assist unless there is failure that can be produced at time of service. Lincoln has been notified and is unable to assist as well.

Passenger whipper arm is loose especially when you lift the arm to clear snow from the windshield it will not align it its original location without multiple attempts.

The contact owns a Lincoln Navigator. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number 22v25000(visibility) and 22v346000(engine) however, the part to do the recall repairs was unavailable. The local dealer was contacted and it was confirmed that the part was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact indicated that the failure had occurred on the driver side windshield wiper. The failure mileage was unavailable. The VIN tool confirms parts not available.

All windows will fog up when the outside air temperature is below 29 degrees fahrenheit. The dealer says that it is a known condition, but they are not sure how to resolve it.

The rear backup camera is not working when you put the vehicle in reverse. I was told it was an issue with the camera, they replaced the camera - which I paid for - and its still not working! then they said its not the camera - again, I paid for a new camera, and they still have not been able to fix my vehicle. Today is sept 22, they have had my car since sept 1!!!! they've had it 3 weeks and have not been able to fix it! I did some research and found that the 2020 and 2021 Lincoln aviators have this problem and have been recalled. Someone also needs to recall the Navigator cause its also having this problem! here is the recall info for the aviator: vehicles recalled: 2020 and 2021 Lincoln aviator the problem: the video feed from the backup camera might not display when the SUV is in reverse. The fix: dealerships will update the image processing module software, free of charge. How to contact the manufacturer: owners may contact Ford at 800-392-3673. Rear window exploded shattering the glass completely. Occurred once the engine was off while parked.

The back-up camera system is inoperable. When vehicle is shifted into reverse, the screen that is supposed to display an image from the back-up camera of the area behind the vehicle is blacked out. I was informed by my local Lincoln dealer's service department that the back-up camera is defective and that, unfortunately, replacement cameras are on an indefinite nation-wide back order with no eta in sight. I feel that this is a serious safety hazard.

Airbags for now completely so does the air compressor cars without airbags went out brakes went out radiator went out completely the car is falling apart.

Seatbelt is not recoiling properly. Dealership replaced it, new one is having similar issues. Sat in other black label Navigators and they also had the same issue. When using the cruise control, the brakes are making an odd noise (it makes the same type of sound you hear when getting up from a leather couch) window washers have failed multiple times. I have multiple video's of that driver seats are making a lot of noise (almost like something is loose), dealership had to fix it twice now. Keep in mind this vehicle is brand new, their top of the line model and had less then 10k miles when these issues started. I would be more than willing to meet with someone in person to show them all the issues.

While traveling with a full load at 65 mph on I-95 sb in maryland the driver side rear vent window exploded inward into the cabin. The weather was clear, temp mid 40's, no defrosters were on, no traffic was passing us.

While driving approximately 65 mph on highway 18 in yamhill county, oregon on a curved section of the road the sunroof spontaneously exploded. There were no vehicles near me and there was nothing overhead. We found no rocks in the vehicle and from the attached pictures it is clear that the glass broke in an outward/upward direction. The interior temperature of the cabin was about 74 and the heater fan was running at near maximum. Outside temperature was approximately 36 degrees farenheight.

The contact stated that after rainy weather, there was a burning odor and an abnormal sound coming from the vehicle as if it was attempting to start independently. In addition, the contact stated the windshield wipers failed to operate intermittently. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the electrical system failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 135,000.

I have a 2013 Lincoln Navigator that has some serious problems with it¿s rain sensing wipers. They will stop completely during a rain or rain/snow storm. Other times they won¿t come on by themselves. They instead have to be turned on manually. They have come on and stayed on for at least two minutes when there has been absolutely no rain or moisture in the air. I am sure you will agree with me that this can prove to be a very dangerous situation. We also have documentation on the dealer¿s work orders showing the times we had brought our vehicle in for the problems. We have pictures proving our problem but these pictures have been completely ignored by both the Lincoln reps themselves and the dealer¿s service department that we purchased our vehicle from new last may ¿ williams auto group in sayre, PA. From their tests the wipers ¿work as they were designed to�. I am going through the PA lemon law now but I was just curious if there had been other vehicle owners, Ford or Lincoln, that have reported the same or similar problem. What makes this very troublesome is both the company's and the williams group ignoring our proof -- the pictures. Previously we were having problems with our tailgate opening while driving the vehicle, outside mirrors moving on their own, drivers seat adjusting on its own and the key lock not operating as it should. Even though none of these were able to be reconstructed at the dealership, there were 3 instances where these were witnessed by the dealer's service employees. So they did go ahead and replace many of the modules but have done nothing with the wipers.

2000 Lincoln Navigator, radio flashes on and off with vehicle off, and windshield wipers are not working, after vehicle has been sitting off for a couple hours, there is a loud noise coming from under the hood on the passenger side under the windshield, open the vehicle door and a/c is blowing full blast and radio is flashing on and off again smells like something is burning and caused a minor fire. Looked up recall information and Ford states that our vehicle is not listed under the recall# 01s24, although it shows our model year along with a majority of Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles. This is the same problem that happened with the 2000 Ford expedition NHTSA action# ea05015.
