Consumer stated when starting vehicle, the ignition will lock up, turning the steering wheel does not unlock it, vehicle has been taken to dealer 6 times, ignition was replaced once, but did not remedy the problem.

Car refused to start on 7 occasions. Will turn over but will not start. Had to be towed once. Had to leave overnight twice and return next day when it started. On the other occasions it started after waiting approximately one hour. Have had in dealership four times since purchase. Have requested refund from Ford.

Intermittent difficuly in starting car will not turn over right away. Dealer has car for third time. So far has be unable to isolate problem. As had car since 3/10/99.

Ignition failed. Yh.

While driving the vehicle stalls without any notice. The vehicle will start back up but it all ways stalls when it is on the road.

When driving the vehicle cuts off/stalls. Vehicle has stalled after engine light has illuminated, dealer installed octane booster and vehicle ran fine for a while and then stalled again, consumer states vehicle has ran fine since, however she has not done any mountain driving and this is when it stalled.

While driving the vehicle engine shuts down, causing the vehicle to stall.

While driving vehicle stalled out at least 3-4 times a week. Has taken vehicle to dealership & mechanic placed vehicle on diagnostic machine. No code came up. Mechanic did replace fuel filter/ idler/ neck in fuel tank & a canister. But, problem still exists.

Intermittently vehicle will stall out and die without warning. Dealer has inspected vehicle several times, and has not been able to duplicate or correct the problem.
