Windshield Problems of Lincoln Town Car

The fuel filler will not accept gasoline at a normal rate. Even at minimum speed it will shut off and/or spit fuel back. Have used different pumps, different stations, different positions happens almost 100% of the time. Also major water leakage around windshield on passenger side of car.

The contact owns a 2007 Lincoln Town Car. The contact stated that the windshield gets cloudy in the morning and evening. The windshield has a glare and small bubbles on it which made it hard to see where he was driving. The failure mileage was 54,000.

Reflection of defroster rail on front windshield is making it difficult for consumer to see while driving, and could cause and accident. Cause unknown. Dealer notified. Reflection will occur on erratic basis because of the sun and the shade (no problem at night).

While driving between 10 and 15 mph on wet pavement and making a turn, vehicle made a "clunking" noise, and abs system locked up, causing vehicle to pull to the right and go off the road. There were no other vehicles involved in this incident, and there were no injuries. Dealership examined vehicle, and stated that abs system had no problems, and this was considered to be normal operation. Please provide any additional information/attachments. The windshield gasket is splitting on the right side of the glass, the front door wont open at times with the remote, the front edge of the vinyl top is coming loose. Nlm.

Severe reflection from dashboard on windshield. Problem has almost caused a vehicle crash due to poor visibility and blind spot. Dealer was notified, and informed consumer that nothing could be done about this situation. *akconsumer states automobile is dangerous while operating during day light due to glare.

Molding aroung the front and rear windows are deteriorating. Dealer was notified, and they informed consumer that both windows need to be replaced because the molding are made onto the windows. Asking NHTSA to assist in this matter. Feel free to provide any further information.

Brake pedal will fade out and not hold, consumer has to pump brake to get vehicle to stop, took vehicle to dealer and the master cylinder was replaced however, the same day problem reoccurred, while on the highway consumer stepped on brakes and pedal went to the floor, consumer had to pump brakes again. Consumer states brakes needs to be pumped while driving on the highway, consumer was informed by a Ford specialist that the fade was normal for this vehicle,also the mass airflow sensor was replaced, the windshield wipers/washers were replaced,the windshield was also replaced, and the engine head gaskets were replaced.

Inside grill on front windshield is causing a severe glare and poor visibility while driving toward/facing the sun. Dealer was notified and unwilling to assist in this matter. Feel free to provide any further information.

While driving vehicle will lose all electrical functions due to a short. Dealer had vehicle 3-4 months, but could not determine cause . Vehicle has had multiple problems. Out side door panel came off. Brakes are spongy. Windshield failed. Seat malfunctions. Dash lithts and stereo failed at diffeerent times.

On two different occasions the front windshield has cracked, once in the lower right and once in the lower left. We don't know if this car was in an accident before purchasing the car. The water leak is coming in from the windshield wiper motor assembly. I have talked with other 1997 Lincoln towncar owners and they all have the same problem. The water enters the car under the windshield wiper motor and runs down the firewall underneth the carpet and forms a pool of water underneth the carpet in the rear passenger compartment. The dealer tries to sell you an undercoating and does not guaratnee this will fix the problem.

Windshield design causing reflections which create poor visibility.

While driving the windshield reflects defroster vent, causing the driver's view to be obstructed. Dealer cannot fix the problem.

Rear side windows are small in design creating a visibility problem. Mjs.

Windshield is loose. Dealership is aware of problem. He said that consumer put finger against window and push it through.

Sunlight magnified reflection from dashboard onto windshield, is very distracting and becomes harardous to driver.

Windshield angle permits reflections of the dashboard components and street lights, almost resulting in accidents due to poor visibility.

The driver cannot see the speedometer and odometer arrow because of poor lighting and color of the arrow. When looking out of the windshield ,the top of the dashboard reflects at eye level.
