1 Ball Joint problem of the 2011 Mazda CX-7

Failure Date: 05/15/2018

I received a recall notice for ball joints however no parts were available at the time to correct the problem. Waited over a year and the ball joint let go so I was unable to drive my Mazda. I took it to the repair shop and had it fixed. 3 months later I received a notice from Mazda that the parts were in. I called Mazda 3 times asking for a reimbursement as I had to pay out of my own pocket for a recall that they were unable to fix. I have not received any calls back. I would like to be compensated for my out of pocket costs to repair the ball joints.

Called today to schedule but they said, Mazda put a hold on all repairs since the airbags the previously received was just a temporary fix and they are still waiting on the permanent solution.

6 Ball Joint problem of the 2007 Mazda CX-7

Failure Date: 03/17/2017

Shortly after purchasing vehicle replaced timing, turbo, exaust, ball joints, tie rod ends & much more. Timing was first, then driving and turbo went out. 2 days ago car sitting in driveway, not running, started smoking from under hood, butst into flames and burnt up. Mazda said no recalls, clearly not true according to website. Almost burnt my house also as it was sitting in driveway and couldnt be moved. If we would have been inside the car, I doubt we would of had time to get pulled over & out as thats how quick it burnt!.

7 Ball Joint problem of the 2008 Mazda CX-7

Failure Date: 01/25/2017

My Cx-7 was repaired under the ball joint recall. The ball joint had failed prior to getting the ball joint replaced. As a result there were a lot more repairs that were required. It has been a little over a year since the ball joints were repaired. Repair date was 1/25/2017. According to morrie's chippewa valley Mazda in lake hallie, WI, my left ball joint is already loose. It was my understanding that this recall was to address the ball joints failing prematurely. It should have lasted more than a year. Mazda says there is no warranty for the recall replacement. What was the point of the recall if they cannot fix the issue? sincerely, william tate.

Got a recall alert in the mail in oct 2016 but states they will reach out when parts are available. It's almost March 2017 and they are still saying they don't have the parts. The description in the recall references salt in the winter ultimately corroding the ball joint. Sounds like a significant risk to me.

14 Ball Joint problem of the 2011 Mazda CX-7

Failure Date: 08/10/2010

Front suspension ball joint fitting: upon either receiving or learning of the safety recall notice last year, my wife and I contacted our local Mazda dealer, ferman Mazda of brandon 9809 e adamo drive tampa, FL 33619, last year. She was told that parts were not currently available for our vehicle and that they started repairs in the northeast, before winter arrived, and we would be contacted summer (2018). The summer has come and is on its way out and we still have not been contacted. My wife called our Mazda dealership on Monday 18 September 2018, she was told she needed to bring in the notice, assuming from Mazda, regarding the recall notice. My question do one need the actual notice or can one use the NHTSA recall notice to carry out the recall.
